Susan Hamilton, Manorcunningham

The death has occurred of Susan Hamilton (née Craig), 22 Eirry, Manorcunningham.

Ms Hamilton passed away suddenly on Friday, May 30.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph, brother James and her parents James and Jeannie.

Susan will be forever missed by her loving daughters Joanne (Mickey), Amanda (Gerard), Rachel (Kevin), Lisa (Stephen) and her 10 grandchildren Kayla, Joseph, Jack, Jessica, Ciara, Leighton, Jamie, Eoghan, Lily and Michael.

Sadly missed by her brother John (Josie), sisters Margaret (Denis) and Ruby in Kildare, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

Susan’s remains will be reposing at her daughter Amanda’s home in Rossbracken, Letterkenny, F92 HR2K, on Wednesday morning, June 4 from 11am to 10pm where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

House is strictly private from 10pm to 11am each night and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal on Friday morning, June 6 at 9.45am to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Inch Island for requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Ita Boyle, Glenties

The death has occurred of Mary Ita Boyle (née O’Donnell), Glen Road, Glenties.

Ms Boyle passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 3. Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Mary of Main Street, Glenties.

Dearly loved wife of Hugh and beloved mother of Ciaran (Vallisa), Deirdre and Breidin, and adoring grandmother of Jude and Ada.

Mary Ita will be sadly missed and forever remembered by sisters Irene and Barbara (Pat RIP), brothers Michael (Marie RIP), James (Brenda) and Aidan (Terry), her sisters-in-law Anne (Hughie), Margaret (Sean), Mary (Hughie RIP), her uncle Frank Rawl and aunt Maggie Kennedy, her many nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her late residence Glen Road, Glenties, F94VK12 on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5 from 11am to 10pm.

Rosary each night at 9pm.

Removal on Friday, June 6 to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties for requiem Mass at 11am , with interment afterwards in the local cemetery.

Family only on the morning of the funeral.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff of the Oncology Department, Letterkenny University Hospital, the palliative care team, carers, Dr Mireille Sweeney, Dr Eleanor Cape, Dr Charlie McManus and his nursing team for their kindness and compassion to Mary Ita throughout her illness.

The family would especially like to thank Fr Gerard Cunningham for his many visits, blessings and prayers offered for Mary Ita.

Monsignor William (Fr Billy) McLaughlin, Ballyliffin

The death has occurred of Monsignor William (Fr Billy) McLaughlin, Ardagh, Ballyliffin.

Fr Billy passed away at the Nazareth House, Fahan on Tuesday, June 3.

Dear brother of Neil, Seán and Colm, predeceased by his sister Mary, and his brothers Michael and Pat.

Deeply regretted by Seán’s partner Dácil, his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.

His remains will arrive at St Mary’s Church, Cockhill on Wednesday at 1pm.

All are welcome to pay their respects today, Wednesday from 1pm to 8pm and Thursday from 1pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place there at 11am on Friday morning followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Sheila McDaid, Limerick and Glenvar

The death has occurred of Sheila McDaid (née Canning), ‘Knockalla’, Church Street, Askeaton, Co Limerick and formerly of Glenvar, Co Donegal.

Ms McDaid passed away peacefully at home in her 100th year surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 3.

Beloved wife of the late Eamon and cherished mother of Kieran, Declan, Fergus, Enda, Brighdín, Eunan, Malachy, Dympna (Mangan), Colum, Eamon, Garvan, Fidelma (Delaney), Brian and Phelim.

She will be forever missed by her sons, daughters, sisters Nora (Dunne), Vera (McElhinney), brother John, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at home on Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 5 from 3pm to 8pm. Arriving at St Mary’s Church, Askeaton on Friday, June 6 for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Reilig Mhuire, Askeaton.

Robert William (known as Roy Stewart), Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Robert William Stewart, known as Roy, of Killydesert, Letterkenny.

Mr Stewart passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 2.

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen and daughter Audrey.

Roy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Victor and daughter-in-law Sheena, grandchildren Natasha (Raymond), Victoria (Robert), Gordon, (Sabrina), Vanessa (Diarmuid), Cathy (Tony), his great-grandchildren Robert, Dawn, Bailey, Josh, Alex, Kelsey, Carter, Amber, Ruby and Zakary and also his faithful dog Rex.

Funeral prayers at his home on Wednesday, June 4 followed by burial in Gortlee cemetery.

Everyone is welcome to attend the committal.

James (Jim) Parke, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Parke, Glenmaquin, Letterkenny.

Mr Parke passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, June 1.

Dearly loved husband of Margaret and beloved father of Andrew, Stephen, Hazel (Darren) and Melissa (Barry).

Devoted granda to Harry, Glen, Jake, Hugo and Bobby.

Predeceased by his brother John and sister May.

Jim will be sadly missed by his brothers Billy and Roy, sisters Elizabeth, Mabel and Tilly.

Funeral from his late residence on Wednesday, June 4 at 12.15pm for 1pm Service of Thanksgiving in St. Eunans Cathedral Raphoe with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Mary O’Brien, Ballintra and Bundoran

The death has occurred of Mary O’Brien (née Brennan), Derries, Ballintra and formerly of Ardfarna, Bundoran.

Ms O’Brien passed away in Sligo University Hospital following a long battle with illness on Saturday, May 31.

Predeceased by her parents, Annie (Nancy) and Patrick (Paddy) Brennan, siblings; brothers, Paddy, Kieran, Andy and James O’Brien (grandson).

Mary will be forever missed by her dear husband, Martin, her sons, James (Alison), Thomas (Tracey) and her daughters, Anna (Stephen), Theresa (Dylan) and Francess (Shane).

She will be cherished by her grandchildren, Katie, Sophie, Jay, Lexi, Conor, Lucas, Méabh, Ella and Dylan.

Sadly missed by her sisters and brothers of the Brennan family, Kevin, Josephine, Bernadette, Declan, Eileen, Noel, Mick, Vincent, Martin, Ann, Gerry, Sean, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Reposing at her late residence in the Derries, Ballintra, (F94 R2W9) on Wednesday from 12pm until 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, Ballintra, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Family home strictly private on the morning of the funeral please.

The O’Brien family appreciate the kindness and support that has been shown to them at this sad time.

Kevin O’Kane, Watford and Doneyloop

The death has occurred of Kevin O’Kane, Watford, England and formerly Doneyloop.

Mr O’Kane passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28.

Loving brother of Teresa (Gillespie), Hugo, Noel, Brendan and the late Seamus, cherished son of the late Mary-Jane and Michael.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle and many good friends.
