Nancy McCallion, Quigley’s Point

The death has taken place of Nancy McCallion, September 1, late of Parochial House Brisland Road, Eglinton and Meedinmore, Quigley’s Point.

Dedicated housekeeper to Fr Michael Keaveny.

Beloved daughter of the late Denis and Ellen McCallion and dear sister of the late James, Mary, Sean, Teresa and Helen, a much loved aunt, dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the Fallon family, Walter, Peter, Nicky (Nicola) and Deirdre, and her entire family circle and many friends.

Funeral from there on Friday, September 5 at 11.20am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Iskaheen at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Marion Doherty (née Canning), Greencastle

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Marion Doherty (née Canning), Eleven Ballyboes, Greencastle, F93 VHC6.

Beloved wife of George and much-loved mother of Keith (Donna), Carol (John), Claire (Patrick) and Mairéad (James) and devoted granny of Clara, Ronan, Evan, Declan, Aoife, Jamie, Cillian, Donncha, Paudie, James and Georgia.

Predeceased by her sister Sr Anna Fidelis.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters and brother, Kathleen, Margaret, Phyllis, Josie, Bernie and Michael, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

May Marion Rest In Peace.

Marion’s remains left Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN, today at 4 pm, going to her home.

Funeral from there on Friday, September 5 at 10.20am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 10pm to 11am.

Neil Ferry, Knockfola

The death has taken place at Letterkenny Hospital of Neil Ferry (Neily Bán) of Meenalough, Knockfola.

Predeceased by his parents; Mary and Neil John, sisters; Sheila, Rosie, Kathleen and Ann and brothers; Ned and John.

Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Margaret, nieces, nephews, neighbours and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his home (F92 Y135) today, Wednesday, September 3 from 12pm to 8pm, with rosary at 8pm.

House private please after the rosary, and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 4, at 11am in St. Colmcille’s Church, Cnoc Fola, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Frances Laird, Scotland and Convoy

The death has taken place in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland of Frances Laird (nee Maxwell) of Whitecrook, Clydebank, Scotland, formerly of
Kiltoal, Convoy, Co Donegal.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents Billy and Eliza Maxwell, and sister Gladys.

Loving mum of Billy (Carol), Ian (Gillian) Elizabeth and Alistair (Susanne) and dear grandmother of Colin, Jason, Craig, Grant, Stuart, Holly, Cameron, Ryan, Callum, Scott and Matthew and great grandmother of Adam, Rory and Alexander.

Beloved sister of Jackie, Elma, Vivienne and sister-in-law of Ruth, Vincent, Billy, Valerie and Helen.

Frances will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral leaving her home on Tuesday, September 16 at 9.30am for 10am service in The Waterfront Church, Clydebank, followed by burial in Dalnottar Cemetery.

Frances Doherty, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Frances Doherty (née McDaid), 1 Lisowen Avenue, Buncrana.

Ms Doherty passed away on Monday, September 1.

Heartbroken by her passing are her loving husband Barney, sons and daughters Owen, Marie, Kathleen, Seamus, Fiona, Gwendoline, Bernard, Karol and Charlene; sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 30 adored grandchildren and cherished great- grandson Brody.

Deeply saddened are her sister Katie O Donnell and Anthony Mc Daid, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and wider family circle.

Frances’ remains are reposing at her home; wake on Wednesday from 11am – 10pm where all are welcome to come and pay their respects.

House private from 10pm – 11am on both nights pleas and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving there at 10.15am on Thursday, September 4 going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for requiem Mass at 11am with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/cockhill

Margaret Brown, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Margaret Brown (née Daly), Dinglei, Coush, Bundoran.

Ms Brown passed away in the excellent care of all at Arás Mhic Suibhné Nursing Home in Laghey on Monday, September 1.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Tommy Brown.

Forever remembered, loved and sadly missed by her loving daughters Laura, Kathleen and Una, sons-in-law Adrian and John, her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sisters Ann and Lily and all her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and extended family and friends, especially all in Arás Mhic Suibhné.

Reposing at Arás Mhic Suibhné Nursing Home, Mullinasole, Laghey on Wednesday, September 3 from 5pm to 7pm. All welcome.

Removal from there at 10.20am on Thursday, September 4 to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran for burial service.

Jacqueline Watson, Dublin and Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Jacqueline Watson (née McCafferty), Elmcastle Green, Kilnamanagh, Dublin 24and formerly Drumboe Avenue, Stranorlar.

Ms Watson passed away peacefully at home following a long illness on Sunday, August 31.

Beloved wife of Neil for 58 years, loving mother of Nigel and Lucinda, cherished granny to Craig and Imogen.

Sadly missed by her daughter in law Niamh and son in law Ivor.

Predeceased by her parents Jock and Bridie and her brother Cormac. Dear sister to Fergus, Mary, Ann, Fionnuala and Louise.

Wednesday, September 3

Reposing at the home of her sister and brother in law Ann & Leon McGranaghan, Drumboe Avenue Stranorlar from 4 pm until Rosary at 9 pm.

Thursday, September 4

Leaving the family home at Drumboe Avenue at 10.40am for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, at Church of Mary Immaculate, Main St., Stranorlar, The funeral Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam on the following link https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar

Jacqueline will be laid to rest in the family plot at Drumboe Cemetery, Stranorlar.

Family time at all other times please.
