Margaret McMenamin (née Harvey), late of Clarlougheske, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3 in Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her parents Molly and Neil, brother Neil, son Neil and daughter Patricia.

Sadly missed by her beloved husband Danny, her devoted son Danny, daughter-in-law Claire, her adoring grandchildren, Niamh, Darragh and Ciara, son-in-law Francie, nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and neighbours.

Margaret’s remains will repose at Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town from 2pm to 8pm on Wednesday, with private removal to her late residence to reside overnight.

House private to family only please.

Margaret’s remains will leave her late residence on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St Agatha’s Church, Clar for requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in Clar graveyard. House private on Thursday morning to family only please.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home Residents’ Comfort Fund.

Anne McGeehan, Kilmacrennan

The death has taken place of Anne McGeehan (née Doherty), Ballykerrin, Kilmacrennan.

She died peacefully at her late residence surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by husband Brendan (2019), parents Mary and Neil Doherty, brothers Neil, Dominic, Tony, John and Jim and sister Mary.

Anne will be sadly missed by her sister Margaret, daughters Margaret Murray, Vera McGeehan, Brenda Gibbons, sons Dennis, Gerard and Martin, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, neighbours and a wide circle of family and friends.

Anne’s remains will repose at her late residence from 6pm until 10pm on Wednesday from 11am until 10pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning going to St. Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan for requiem Mass at 11am, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Myra Grieve, Kildare, Dublin and Letterkenny 

The death has occurred of Myra Grieve (née Gillen) formerly of Clonee, Dublin, Maynooth, Co. Kildare and Letterkenny.

Myra passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday  in the care of TLC Nursing Home, Maynooth.

Beloved wife of Brian for over 60 years and loving mother of Cathy, Seamus, Caroline, Maria, Mairead, Bernie, Dympna and the late Baby Brian (R.I.P.).

She will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, loving children, daughter-in-law Martina, sons-in-law Gerry, Eamonn, Martin and Ray, her adored grandchildren Brian, Rebecca, Hannah, Natasha, Megan, Emer, Mia, Oran, Eamonn, Hayley, Zach, Dylan, Molly, Alex and Bradley and great-granddaughter Cora, her brother Danny and her sister Mena and all those who knew her.

Reposing at her daughter Caroline’s residence in Carbury, Co. Kildare (W91 H52P) on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Removal on Thursday at 1pm to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Straffan for 2pm funeral Mass, followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth.

Sarah Gillespie, Glencolmcille

The death has taken place of Sarah Gillespie (née Cunnea) of Renmore, Galway, formerly of Dooey, Glencolmcille, peacefully in Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband John and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by her sisters Roisin, Nora, her twin Phyllis (Danny), Josephine, Breege (Seamus), and her brothers Cornelius and Peter (Ann), nieces, nephews and extended family.

Reposing at Áras Naofa, within the grounds of St Oliver Plunkett Church, Renmore (H91 PX95) on Wednesday from 2.30pm – 4pm with removal to her brother’s house in Dooey, Glencolmcille.

Remains reposing on Thursday from 10am-10pm. House private following the rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal on Friday morning from Dooey to St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille for Funeral Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Denis Doherty, Carndonagh

The death has taken place in Luton of Denis Doherty (Toner), Swasedale Road, Limbury Mead, Luton and formerly of Falduff, Carndonagh.

Beloved husband of Mary, and much-loved father of Stephen, Paul, Dennis, Eugene, Brendan and Philip.

From a family of 12, Denis is survived and sadly missed by Annie, Neil, Willie and Philomena.

Deeply regretted by his grandchildren Izzy, Hughie, Frankie, Sarah, Celia, Shay and Amelie; daughters-in-law Anne, Fiona, Helena, Karen and Joanne, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Removal from Kelly’s Funeral Home, Carndonagh at 7pm Wednesday to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh to repose overnight. Funeral Mass at 11am on Thursday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamonn Doherty, Letterkenny

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital  of Eamonn Doherty, 2 Derryveagh Avenue, Letterkenny and formerly from Ashlawn, Letterkenny. Sadly missed by his family, friends and neighbours.

Eamonn is predeceased by his wife May, son John, brothers Paddy and Shaun and his parents Johnny and Katie.

Eamonn’s remains will repose at his sister Nuala Higgins’ residence at 21 Slieve Sneacht Close, on Wednesday from 12 noon to 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday 5th December at 10.30am going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on the Parish YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657.

Interment afterwards to All Saints Church Cemetery, Newtowncunningham.

Fionn McLaughlin, Manorcunningham and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Fionn McLaughlin, 7 Raymoghey Heights, Manorcunningham.

Mr McLaughlin passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 30.

Beloved son of Rosa McLaughlin.

Predeceased by his loving grandparents Barbara and Joe McLaughlin, Ballyboe, Lismonaghan.

Sadly missed by his uncles Joe and Liam, aunties Elizabeth and Shauna, cousins and wide circle of family and friends.

Due to the tragic circumstances, the wake will be strictly private to family and close friends only.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 4 at 1pm in St. Eunan’s Cathedral with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Tiernan Doherty, Carndonagh

The death has taken place of Tiernan Doherty, 14 Convent Road, Carndonagh.

Mr Doherty passed away on Sunday, December 1.

Shocked and saddened by his passing are his loving parents Kevin and Louise. Tiernan will be sadly missed by his younger brothers Kyrin, Cohen, and Keegan. Tiernan is deeply cherished by his broken-hearted girlfriend Kaylah. Tiernan is deeply regretted by his grandparents Sean and Maureen, his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Remains are reposing at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Thursday at 1pm going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for 1.30pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Máire Crumlish, Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Máire Crumlish (née Byrne), Churchtown, Carndonagh.

Ms Crumlish passed away peacefully at Carndonagh Community Hospital on Monday, December 2.

Predeceased by her loving husband Tommy and much loved mother of John, Richard and Mary.

Dear sister of Nabla.

Deeply regretted by her grandchildren Tom, Luke, John, Sorcha, Emily, and Naoise, her daughters-in-law Eithne and Sheena, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Removal from there, Wednesday at 10.15am to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

John Boyle, Meath and Ardara

The death has occurred of John Boyle, Silverlawn, Navan, Co Meath and formerly Ardara.

Mr Boyle passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Monday, December 2.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Agnes, brothers Seamus, Michael, Willie and Peter and sister Annie.

He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Mary of 53 years, son Hugh, daughters Rosalind and Louise, grandchildren Shane, Ronan, Sophie, Seán and Daragh,daughter in law AnnMarie, son in law Stephen, brothers Tom and Louis, sisters Mary and Noreen, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his son Hugh’s residence Tatestown, Navan C15XHP1 on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm.

Arriving to St. Oliver’s Church, Blackcastle on Thursday morning for 10am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Finian’s Cemetery, Old Athboy Road.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in The Oriel Ward in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital who cared for John with great compassion and dignity.

Mary McGovern, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Mary McGovern (nee Boyle) of O’Maolchonaire Avenue formerly of Meenadreen Glencolmcille.

Ms McGovern passed away peacefully under the care of the oncology ward at Letterkenny University Hospital and Donegal Hospice.

Predeceased by her father John Boyle, sadly missed by her husband John, mother Mairead. Her children Nicole(Kevin), Amy(Cormac) Eilish and Terence.

Her sister Noreen (Pauric) and brother Johnny (Nora) deeply regretted by uncles (Oliver and Padraig) and aunt (Noreen) nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mary’s remains will leave her late residence on Wednesday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Killymard for requiem Mass at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in Clar graveyard.

House private on Wednesday morning to family only please.

Family flowers only donations in lieu if so desired to Donegal Hospice care of Faulkner undertakers or any family member.

Charles (Charlie) Fox, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Charles (Charlie) Fox, Riverside London and formerly of Beechwood Road, Letterkenny.

Mr Fox passed away suddenly following a long illness in thecare of the NHS, Homerton Hospital on Monday, November 18.

Predeceased by his parents Jim and Bridie and his sister Síobhan.

Will be greatly missed by his sister Rosemary, his brother Seamus, niece Aisling and her husband Simon, nephew Ronan and his wife Ellen, grandnieces Órlaith and Amandine, grandnephew Fiachra, his extended family and friends.

Arriving to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday, December 4 with burial afterwards in the family plot, Conwal Cemetery.

Billy Moran, Greencastle/Derry

The death has occurred of Billy Moran, Manchester and Glenagiveny, Donegal.

Ms Moran passed away on Tuesday, November 12.

Beloved husband of Sarah, cherished father of Robert, Joseph and Grace, dearest son of Marie (nee Barr) and the late Johnny, (both of Derry), treasured brother of John, Neal and Michaela, dearly missed son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend and colleague.

Funeral service at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 4 at Altrincham Crematorium, Whitehouse Lane, Dunham Massey, Altrincham, Cheshire WA14 5RH, and afterwards, all welcome.
