Ronan Daly, Rosbeg

The death has taken place of Ronan Daly, Rosbeg, and formerly of Terenure, Dublin.

Ronan died sudden but peacefully at home.

Ronan will be sadly missed by his son Jonathan, brothers Bob and Aidan, sister Anne Marie, nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, and especially by his constant companion Mary.

Predeceased by his sister Deirdre and brother Paul.

Ronan’s remains will leave Shovlins Funeral Home Sandfield Ardara on Monday morning December 15 at 10.30am travelling to Service and cremation in Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harolds Cross Dublin at 3.15pm.

Zdzislaw Bernat, Letterkenny

The death has taken place in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Letterkenny of Zdzislaw Bernat, 14 Beechwood Park, Letterkenny and formerly from Poland.

Reposing in the Letterkenny Funeral Home, Port Road, Letterkenny (F92 P407) on Thursday, December 11 from 7-9pm.

Cremation to follow in Lakeland’s Crematorium, Cavan.

Margaret McMonagle, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Margaret McMonagle (née Quinn), Carrygauley, Letterkenny.

Ms McMonagle passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 9.

Deeply missed by her loving daughters Anne Cosgrove and husband Paul, Wood Road, Letterkenny and Louise Hilley and husband Brendan, Cullion Road, Letterkenny, grandchildren Mairead and Ciaran, sister Kathleen Diamond (Glasgow), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband Jim, brother James and infant brother Arthur.

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny F92 XE35 on Wednesday, December 10 at 3pm going to her late residence.

House strictly private please.

Funeral from there on Friday, December 12 at 10.15am going to St Eunan’s Cathedral Letterkenny for 11am requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards to New Leck Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Kevin Mc Hugh, Inver

The death has occurred of Kevin McHugh, Inver Glebe, Inver.

Mr McHugh passed away peacefully after a bravely fought illness, surrounded by his family, in the care of the wonderful staff at Donegal Community Hospital on Tuesday, December 9.

Predeceased by his parents, Paddy and Brigid.

Sadly missed by his son Don McHugh and daughter-in-law Linda; daughter Lorraine Gaul and son-in-law Ian; and his grandsons Shaun, Keelin, Declan and Oran.

Fondly remembered by his brother Terence McHugh and sister-in-law Kathleen; his sister Veronica Doherty and brother-in-law Seamus; as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Remains will repose at Gallagher’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (F94 X02N) on Wednesday, December 10, from 4pm to 8pm, and again on Thursday, December 11, from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal on Friday, December 12, to St Naul’s Church, Ardaghey for requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the local cemetery.

Charlie Doherty, Greencastle

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Charlie Doherty, Carrowhugh, Greencastle, F93 HC59.

A much-loved father of Jayne, Ellen, William and Gwyneth and devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren.

Charlie was predeceased by his wife Sarah.

He is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Kelly and sons-in-law Sean and Alan, his sisters, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Charlie’s remains will repose at his home.

Funeral from there on Thursday, December 11 at 10.30am for 11am requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 10pm to 11am.

John Boyce, Termon

The death has taken has taken place of John Boyce, Drumfin, Termon, Donegal, F92 TD70. Peacefully in the hands of the caring staff in the Donegal Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Johnny and Mary and brother James. Survived by his wife Bridget, son Declan (Jeanine). Deeply regretted by brothers Brian, Joe, Tony, Willie and sister Mary. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbours and friends.

John’s remains will be reposing at his late residence from Tuesday, December 9 from 3pm until 10pm and Wednesday from 10am until 10pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning going to St. Columba’s Church Termon for requiem mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Padraig Gallagher, Cloghan

The death has taken place in Eltham, London, of Padraig Gallagher (Big Pat), formerly from Ardlaghan, Cloghan, Donegal.

Padraig will be sadly missed by his brothers, Fr. Eddie and John (Mary) and his sister Annie (John).

Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, the wider family circle, neighbours and friends.

Pre-deceased by his parents Annie and Edward Gallagher and his brother-in-law Liam Kelly.

Padraig’s Remains will repose at the home of his sister, Annie Kelly home in Ardlaghan (F93 YP46) from 12 noon on Thursday, December 11.

Requiem Mass will be at 12 noon on Friday, December 12, in The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glenfin (F93 FH98), with burial afterwards in Kilteevogue Cemetery in the family plot.

Tina Duffy, Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of Tina Duffy (née McGee), Cottage Farm, Newtowncunningham,  F93 Y0Y9.

Tina will be lovingly missed by her husband, William, daughters, Emma (Shaun) and Tara (Lee), grandchildren, Gracie and Olivia, sisters, Dolores McNulty, Carmel McDaid, Veronica Burns, Teresa Carlin, brothers, Tommy McGee and Liam McGee, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and all her extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Gracie, and brothers, John and Barney, brothers-in-law, Oliver McDaid, Seamus McNulty and Jim McDevitt.

Remains reposing at her late residence, today, Wednesday, from 10am to 10pm.

Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.

Cortege leaving Tina’s late residence on Thursday at 10.30am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham, for 11am requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamonn (Eddie) McCafferty, Ramelton and Glasgow

The death has taken place of Eamonn (Eddie) McCafferty, a much-loved husband, father, granda, and brother.

Eamonn’s remains will be received into St Gabriel’s Parish, 83 Merrylee Road, Glasgow, on Thursday, December 11 at 5pm.

The funeral Mass will take place at St Gabriel’s on Friday, December 12 at 10am, followed by burial at Linn Cemetery at 11.15am.

A memorial service will be held in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton, at 11am on Sunday, January 18.
