Joe (Joseph) Patton, Dublin and Rathmullan

The death has occurred of Joe (Joseph) Patton, Raheny, Dublin and formerly of Rathmullan.

Mr Patton passed away peacefully in the care of staff of Bon Secours Hospital, Glasnevin surrounded by his loving family after a brave battle with cancer on Monday, April 14.

He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife, Breege, loving father to Brian, Maeve and Trish, adored grandfather to Juliette and Isabelle, sons in law Rob and Eoin, daughter in law Kate, sisters Yvonne and Marie, brother Charles, brother in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Joe will be reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Springdale Road, Raheny on Thursday, April 17 from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Service on Friday at 10am in Our Lady Mother of Divine Church, Raheny followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.

Joseph (Josie) Friel, Falcarragh

The death has occurred of Joseph (Josie) Friel, Killult, Falcarragh.

Mr Friel passed away at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, April 15.

Predeceased by his parents; Frank and Maggie Friel, sisters; Sr. Mary Emmanuel (Kitty), Molly, Ann, Brid & Greta and infant grandsons Joseph Anthony and Ciaran Daniel.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Geraldine, daughters; Pauline, Colette and Geraldine, sons; Joseph and Michael , in-laws Barry, Anthony, Ciaran, Karen and Siobhan, sisters; Philomena, Sally and Nora, brother Seamus, grandchildren; Hannah, Molly, Joe, Lily, Fiodhna, Rory, Odhran, Aoife, Senan, Cobhlaith, Eoin and Daniel and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his home (F92 Y2V6) today, Wednesday from 2pm – 8pm and on Thursday from 11am – 8pm. Rosary nightly at 8pm.

House private after rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Service will take place in Christ the King Church, Gortahork at 11am on Friday, April 18, interment afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Shane McGrory, Ballintra

The death has occurred of Shane McGrory, Rath, Ballintra.

Mr McGrory passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13.

Predeceased by his mother, Patricia, father-in-law Eddie Walsh and sister-in-law Pauline.

Beloved husband to Martina and loving father to Alisha (Cathan).

Sadly missed by his father, Tim McGrory and mother-in-law Anne Walsh.

Sadly missed by his loving Brothers and Sisters; Siobhan, (Bob) Michael, (Eileen) Lorraine, (Noel) Dominic, (Anita) Sinead, (James) Lorcan, (Sharlene), brother-in -laws, Liam, (Mary) John, (Teresa) and Edmund (Geraldine).

Forever cherished by his many nieces and nephews.

Reposing at his late residence on Wednesday from 2pm until 9pm.

For those attending Shane’s wake, please note a one way traffic system will be in operation with entry from St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra and exiting via Gary’s Brae.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Bella McClafferty, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Bella McClafferty (née Carr), Largy, Killybegs.

Ms McClafferty passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 14.

Predeceased by her parents Tom and Vera Carr.

Sadly missed by her husband Pat, sons Padraig (Mary), Ronan (Laura) and Colm (Shona), daughters Colette (Anthony) and Una (Paul), grandchildren Naomi, Paddy, Sophia, Rebecca, Sam, Jack, Annabel, Tori, Fearne, Iseult, Lochlann, Daniel, Zoe and Rory, sister Mary Jo (Seanie), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her late residence on Wednesday, April 16.

Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs for 11am funeral Mass.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

John Connaghan, Churchill and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of John Connaghan, Whitehill, Churchill and Letterkenny.

Mr Connaghan passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, April 14.

Predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret, daughter Margaret, brother Willie, sisters Gracie, Margaret, Frances and daughter-in-law Mary.

Survived by his wife Masie, sons Martin, Frankie, Gerard, Christy and Kevin, daughter Philomena and sister Bridget.

Deeply regretted by his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at his daughter’s Philomena residence 33 Glencar Park, Letterkenny F92F6CA.

Funeral from there on Wednesday morning for requiem Mass in St. Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan at 11am, followed by interment in Gartan Cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 11am and on morning of the funeral.

John Browne, Ballyshannon and Waterford

The death has occurred of John Browne, 16 Assaroe View, Ballyshannon and formerly of St John’s Park, Waterford City.

Mr Browne passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 12.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Jennifer, his daughter Sonya (Paul), his son Jonathan, his grandchildren Aaron, Katie and Tamara, his brothers, sisters and all his extended family and friends.

Removal from his residence on Wednesday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for 11am funeral Mass followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium in Cavan at 2pm.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to North West Hospice, Sligo. C/o John McGee & Sons Funeral Director’s or any family member.
