Mark Fields, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Mark Fields, Drumboe Lower and formerly of The Grove, Stranorlar.

Mr Fields passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice under the care of their wonderful staff and surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 7.

Beloved father to Andrew (Chantel), Francis, Marcus, loving son to June, brother to Deborah, Grace and Jane, grandfather to Darragh, Croía, Hailey, Margo and Maud and uncle to Louis.

Sadly missed by his son, mother and sisters.

Predeceased by his father Fran.

Tuesday, September 9

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Drumboe Avenue Stranorlar from 6 pm until 8 pm.

Wednesday, September 10

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Drumboe Avenue Stranorlar from 6 pm until 8 pm.

Thursday, September 11

A celebration of Mark’s life will take place at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Drumboe Avenue at 11 am followed by a private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to Donegal Hospice c/o Martin McGowan Funeral Director or any family member.

Marian Murrin, Bruckless

The death has occurred of Marian Murrin (née Cannon), Loughmult, Bruckless, surrounded by her loving family, peacefully in her own home, after a long illness.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Stephen, daughter, Paula (Pat), sons, Colin (Corena), Declan (Christine), Ronan (Carrie), Donal (April), grandchildren, Corey, Carla, Matthew, Darragh, Caoimhe, Conor, Harry, Fiadh, Shay, Jenna, Heather, Clara, her brother, Martin, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Marian was predeceased by her parents, Jimmy and Susan.

Remains reposing at her home.

Remains leaving on Tuesday at 11.30am going to the Church of St Joseph and St Conal, Bruckless, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Richard Butler, Wexford, London, Culdaff

The death took place in London on August 27 of Richard Joseph Butler (fondly known to many as Dick Butler), at 88 years of age.

A son of Richard and Mary Butler, he was a beloved father to Mary, Richard, Alan and Bernadette, and a devoted grandfather to Leanne, Conor, Richard, Megan, Sean, Patrick, Finley, Cian, Niall, Riley and Shay.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret McLaughlin (Culdaff), his brother, John, sisters, Mary and Jo, his brothers-in-law, James, Bill, Patrick, Tommy, Sean and Jim, and his sisters-in-law, Roseline, Carrie and Annie.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Geraldine, brother-in-law, Pierce, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Richard’s remains are reposing at The Mill, Culdaff (F93 X4HW), where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there at 10.30am on Tuesday (September 9) for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bocan followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Fran McGaharon, Quigley’s Point

The sudden death has taken place at his home of Fran McGaharon, 34 Greenbank Cottages, Quigley’s Point, F93 KF95.

He was the beloved husband of Sarah and much loved father of Joanne (Kenny), Angela and Stephen, and devoted grandfather of Ainsley, Holly, Simone, Gracie, Mairead and Roisin.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers, James, Peter and John, stepdaughter, Joanne Burke, stepson, Shaun Burke and step-grandson, Jack Burke, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Fran’s remains are reposing at his home, where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Tuesday at 1.30pm for 2pm Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Drung, followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family time from 9pm until 12pm.

Marian Fagan, Ballyliffin

The peaceful death has taken place at home, surrounded by all of her loving children and her family, of Marian Fagan, née Grant (Doogan), formerly of Shore Road, Ballyliffin.

She was the much loved mother of Gráinne, Róisín, Eóin, Ciara and Conor.

Marian was predeceased by her brother, John and sister, Siobhan and her son-in-law, Seamus.

She was the dear sister of Rosaleen, Michael, Dan, Brian, Bried and Marty and will be deeply regretted by her nine grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains will be reposing at the family home, Shore Road, Ballyliffin where all are welcome to pay their respects.

Removal from there on Tuesday at 1.30pm, going to St. Mary’s Church, Clonmany for 2pm Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the new cemetery.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.
