Nora O’Reilly, Westmeath and Rathmullan

The death has occurred of Nora O’Reilly (née Merritt), Mullingar, Westmeath and formerly of Rathmullan.

Ms O’Reilly passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family and in the kind care of the team at Regional Hospital Mullingar on Thursday, September 25.

Nora will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband Noel,

daughter Tammy, sons Shane, Daniel, Robert and Ryan, son-in-law Martin,

her grandchildren Meghan, Karen, Blake, Hayden, Maddison, Ashlyn

and Lucas, brothers Paddy and Thomas, sisters Frances, Marian, Bernie and Tina,

brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her brother Bobby and sisters Ann, Susie and Evelyn.

A ceremony of celebration of Nora’s life will take place in Lakeland’s Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan, H12 RF78 on Wednesday, October 1 at 1pm.

Gerald Moore, Carrigans

The death has occurred of Gerald Moore, Carrigans.

Mr Moore passed away at Brentwood Manor nursing homes, Convoy on Sunday, September 28.

His remains will repose at the home of his sister Yvonne and her husband Billy Smyth, Churchtown, Carrigans, F93PVOF, today, Tuesday from 11am to 10pm. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, October 1 at 1.15 pm for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving in All Saint’s Parish Church, Newtowncunningham, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the staff of Brentwood Manor Nursing Home care of Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Gerald is predeceased by his mother Dinah, father William and brother Walter.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Caitlin, son TJ, and family members Yvonne, Billy and family, Billy, Sandra and family, Joan and family, Jackie, Brenda and family, Teddy, Linda and family, Dorothy, William and family, Jennifer, Marshall and family, Karen, Melanie, Ian, Andrew, Deirdre and family.

Gerald’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Brentwood Manor Nursing Home for the amazing level of care he received over the last six years.

Owen (Owney) McGoldrick, Pettigo

The death has occurred of Owen (Owney) McGoldrick, Pettigo.

Mr McGoldrick passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 28.

Beloved uncle of Mairead (Sean), Patrick (Pauline), Helena (Paddy), Brigene, Frances (Jason), Yvonne (Declan) and his many more nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Predeceased by his parents Owen and Bridget, his brother Packie John and James Joseph (Dodie), his sisters Bridget (Bidgie), Cassie and Agnes(Aggie).

Sadly missed by his sister Sarah Mary and Margaret Ellen and sister in law Rosie.

Removal from 6 Old People’s Home, Pettigo, at 12.30 pm today, Tuesday, September 30 to St Joseph’s Chapel, Lettercran, F94Y642 for requiem Mass at 1pm with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Phillip Brogan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Philip Brogan, Ballaghderg, Mountain Top, Letterkenny.

Mr Brogan passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, September 29.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Brian (Yvonne), Martin and Ciaran (Lorraine), daughters Sinéad (Graham), Maria (Barry) and Catriona, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother John and sister Margaret Crossan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by his parents Philip and Margaret, sister Annabell Ward (2006) and brother James Anthony (1962).

Philip’s remains will be reposing at his late residence on Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1 from 11am to 10pm with rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday, October 2 at 10.15am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.

George Hayes, Quigley’s Point

The death has occurred of George Hayes, Clunelly, Quigley’s Point.

Mr Hayes passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Cecilia and his sister Gladys.

Much loved father of Michelle (Raymond) and devoted Granda of Amy, Niamh and Leah.

Sadly missed by his niece and nephew, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

George’s remains will repose at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, September 30 at 10.20am for 11am funeral service in St Columba’s Church Drung, followed by Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Kevin McCloskey, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Kevin McCloskey, Killybegs.

Sadly missed by his loving family and friends.

Please note that no further arrangements will be announced as the family wishes to mourn in complete privacy.

Sr Kathleen Gallagher, Falcarragh

The death took place on Friday of Sr Kathleen (Philomena) Gallagher, Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul and late of Derryreel, Falcarragh.

She died eacefully in the loving care and presence of the Sisters and staff of the Daughters of Charity, Mount Prospect Avenue, Clontarf.

Predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Bridget Gallagher, her sister Gracie (Seamus), her niece Marie, and grandnephew Brian.

Deeply regretted by her sisters, Anne (Willie deceased), Rosie (Willie deceased), and Bridget (Joe deceased), brothers, Frank and Mary, James and Christine, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, the Community of the Daughters of Charity extended family, relatives, and friends.

Reposing at St Catherine’s Provincial House, Blackrock, (A94P2K3) on Sunday with prayers at 5pm.

Reposing at her brother Frank’s home Derryreel, Falcarragh F92 WR82 on Tuesday from 12 noon to 9pm.

Rosary at 9pm both nights, followed by burial at 11 am Mass on Wednesday, October 1.
