Mabel Witherow, Convoy

The peaceful death has taken place of Mabel Witherow, (née Orr), Millbridge Farm, Gobnascale, Convoy, F93 T8NY.

Predeceased by her husband Billy, infant son David and son-in-law Derek Peoples.

She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her daughter Lorraine, son-in-law Keith Bankhead, daughter Anita, daughter Julie and son-in-law Russell Doherty, also son Kenneth and daughter-in-law Rachel. Cherished grandmother of Kathryn, David, Gareth, Grace, Ross, Lily and Charlie, great-grandmother of Thomas, Sarah, Emily, TJ and Izzy.

She will be greatly missed by her brothers Norman and Raymond and her extended family circle.

Funeral leaving from her home on Tuesday, September 2 at 1.30pm for 2pm funeral service in St Ninian’s Church Convoy, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Margery Isabel (known as Mabel Witherow), Convoy

The death has occurred of Margery Isabel (known as Mabel Witherow) (née Orr), of Millbridge Farm, Gobnascale, Convoy.

Ms Witherow passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31.

Predeceased by her husband Billy, infant son David and son-in-law Derek Peoples. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her daughter Lorraine, son-in-law Keith Bankhead, daughter Anita, daughter Julie and son-in-law Russell Doherty, also son Kenneth and daughter-in-law Rachel.

Jacqueline Watson, Dublin and Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Jacqueline Watson (née McCafferty), Elmcastle Green, Kilnamanagh, Dublin 24and formerly Drumboe Avenue, Stranorlar.

Ms Watson passed away peacefully at home following a long illness on Sunday, August 31.

Beloved wife of Neil for 58 years, loving mother of Nigel and Lucinda, cherished granny to Craig and Imogen.

Sadly missed by her daughter in law Niamh and son in law Ivor.

Predeceased by her parents Jock and Bridie and her brother Cormac. Dear sister to Fergus, Mary, Ann, Fionnuala and Louise.

Tuesday 2nd September

Reposing at the home of her sister and brother in law Ann & Leon McGranaghan, Drumboe Avenue Stranorlar from 4 pm until Rosary at 9 pm.

Wednesday 3rd September

Reposing at the home of her sister and brother in law Ann & Leon McGranaghan, Drumboe Avenue Stranorlar from 4 pm until Rosary at 9 pm.

Thursday 4th September

Leaving the family home at Drumboe Avenue at 10.40am for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am, at Church of Mary Immaculate, Main St., Stranorlar, The funeral Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam on the following link https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar

Jacqueline will be laid to rest in the family plot at Drumboe Cemetery, Stranorlar.

Family time at all other times please.

Annie Uí Dhomhnaill, Bunbeg

The death has occurred of Annie Uí Dhomhnaill, Knockastollar, Bunbeg, originally of Culacrick, Annagry.

Ms Uí Domhnaill passed away in her 103rd year on Sunday, August 31.

Predeceased by her husband Eoghan, son PJ, sisters; Bridget and Rosha and brothers; Eddie, Danny and John.

Sadly missed by her daughter Una, sons; Connie, Seán and Eamonn, sister Sally Roarty (Dungloe), daughter-in-law Maighread, grandchildren; Deirdre, Conall, Eoghan, Colm and Feidhlim, great grandchildren; Tarlach, Ultán, Conor and Aidan, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at her home on Tuesday from 12pm to 8pm. Rosary at 8pm.

House private after Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Annie’s funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, September 3, at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Meenaweal, interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

The funeral Mass can be viewed live on Kieran Roarty Funeral Director’s Facebook page and on the church webcam.

Colm Sweeney, Ardara

The death has occurred of Colm Sweeney, Drumaghy Park, Ardara.

Mr Sweeney passed away peacefully in the Donegal Hospice surrounded by his loving wife and family on Sunday, August 31.

Colm will be forever missed by his beloved wife Teresa, his children Linda, Jennifer (Lawrence), Danielle (Richard Patrick), Elena (Ezel) and son Colm.

Sadly missed by his granddaughters Ellieanne and Niamh, his grandsons Axel, CJ, Joey, Shayne, Turlough, James and Lukas, his loving sisters Finola (PJ) and Geardline, his nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Colm is predeceased by his cherished mother Helen, his father John, his son Joseph, his sister Elizabeth and grandson Theo.

Funeral from Mc Cabes funeral home, Ardara on Tuesday morning going to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara for funeral Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice Letterkenny.

Mick Gallen, Ballybofey and Tyrone

The death has occurred of Mick Gallen, Meenglass Road, Ballybofey and Aghyaran, Tyrone.

Mr Gallen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 29.

Beloved husband of Mary, much loved father of Gary (Kay) and Sinéad (Shaun), loving granda of Emily, Jamie, Andrew and baby Aaron, dearest brother of Gerard, Kathleen, Anne, Seamus, Brian, Eugene and the late Maryrose and Bernard, cherished son of the late Brian and Bridget (Altgoland).

Funeral from the family home on Tuesday, September 2 at 10.20 am for requiem Mass at 11 am in The Church Of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar.

Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.

The Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam.

Seamus Logue, Belfast and Carrigart

The death has occurred of Seamus Logue, Gransha Rise, Belfast and Carrigart, Donegal.

Mr Logue passed away at the Royal Hospital, Belfast, surrounded by his family on Friday, August 29.

Beloved son of the late John and Winifred Logue.

Husband of Leontia, loving father to Sarah and Ciarán and grandfather to Clara and Rosa.

His funeral will be held at St John the Baptist Church, Carrigart at 11am on Tuesday followed by burial at adjoining cemetery.

He is predeceased by his sister Susie and his brothers James, Paddy and Michael. He is survived by his brothers Owen and Hughie and his sister Mary.
