The death has occurred of Susan Whoriskey (née Bonner), Baltoney, Gortahork.

Ms Whoriskey passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 14.

Predeceased by her daughter Maryann, her parents Grace and Dominic, her brothers Hudie, Dónal and Paddy.

Survived by her husband Neilly, daughter Kathleen and husband Seamus, sons Dominic and his wife Sharon, Donald and his wife Portia and Micheal and his partner Anne, her son-in-law Stephen, grandchildren David, Matthew, Adam, Stephaine and Niamh, brothers Dominic and Joe, in laws, nieces, nephew and a wide circle of family and friends.

Wake will commence today, Tuesday, October 15 at 12noon with Rosary both nights at 8pm.

House private after the Rosary until 12 noon and on the morning of the Funeral. Funeral from there on Thursday, October 17 for 11am Requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork F92 DP86 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Michael Kelly, Westmeath and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Michael Kelly, Ballindurrow, Multyfarnham, Westmeath and formerly Letterkenny.

Mr Kelly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 14.

Predeceased by his brothers Frank, John and Liam and his sister Betty.

Mr Kelly will be very sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Sheila, sons Ciarán and Seán, daughters-in-law Audrey and Maeve, grandsons Luke and Joseph, brother Phonsie and his wife Margaret, sister Mary Kate, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home (N91 V189) today, Tuesday, October 15, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Michael’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 16, at 12 noon in St Nicholas’ Church, Multyfarnham followed by burial in the adjoining St Andrew’s Cemetery.

No flowers please; donations in lieu, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.ie/.

Martin Gallagher, Bundoran, Leitrim and Sligo

The death has occurred of Martin Gallagher, Bundoran and formerly of Kinlough, Leitrim and Carrowreagh Cooper, Tubbercurry, Sligo.

Mr Gallagher passed away suddenly on Friday, October 11.

He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family, his adoring parents Hubert and Nancy, his heartbroken siblings Mary (Turner), Wexford Town, Ann (Denny), Wexford Town, Gabrielle, (Corofin, Co. Galway), John (Dromahair, Co. Leitrim), Kevin (Ransboro, Sligo) and Paschal, (Carraroe, Sligo), his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and all his many relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the residence of his brother Kevin, Ransboro, Sligo (Eircode F91Y227) today, Tuesday, October 15 from 4pm to 8pm, all welcome.

House private at all other times.

Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, October 16 at 11am in St. Patrick’s Church, Moylough, Tubbercurry, Sligo (eircode F91XW22), with removal afterwards to arrive at St. Aidan’s Cemetery, Kinlough, Leitrim (via Bundoran) for Burial Service at approximately 2.15pm.

Alice Doogan, Kincasslagh

The death has occurred of Alice Doogan, Gortnasade, Kincasslagh.

Ms Doogan passed away peacefully in Hillcrest House in Letterkenny on Sunday, October 12.

Her remains will repose today, Tuesday, in the family home in Gortnasade (F94D6C1) from 11am until Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 16 at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Kincasslagh with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.

Joe McGroarty, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Joe Mc Groarty, 3 Croagh Patrick Avenue, Letterkenny.

Mr Mc Groarty passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, October 13.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, sons Jonnie (Martina), Mickie (Linda), Gerry (Michelle), Marty and daughters Caroline (Noel), Tina (Jonny) and Mariosa (Sean), 15 Grandchildren, brother Seamus, sisters Mausheen, Mina and Peggy.

Pre-deceased by his parents Paddy and Mary, brothers Michael and Noel and sisters Eileen, Kathleen and Rosie.

Remains will be reposing at his late residences from 12noon – 9pm today, Tuesday, October 15 with Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 16 at 11am in St. Eunans Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Jimmy Doohan, Tory Island

The death has occurred of Jimmy Doohan, West Town, Tory Island.

Mr Doohan passed away in the Donegal Hospice surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 12.

Predeceased by his parents Biddy and Johnny, his bother John and brother-in-law Patsy dan.

Survived by his sister Kathleen, brothers William and Pádraig, nieces Breda, Majella/ Daniel, Christina/Noel, nephew Sean, great nephews Dean and Finn and a circle of family and friends.

Funeral from his late residence today, Tuesday, October 15.

Requiem Mass will take place at 12:30pm in St Colmcille’s Church, Tory with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Paddy Cassidy, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Paddy Cassidy, 11 Erne Dale Heights, Ballyshannon.

Mr Cassidy passed away peacefully at the North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 11.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Martina, his children Alana (Graham), Jamie (Sinead), Shonagh (Kevin), Lauren (Ultan), his adored grandchildren Iris, Theo, Nahla, Arlo, Torin, Pàidì, Tallin.

His brothers John, Joe and sister Anne Treanor, nieces, nephews, all extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Annie and sister Marie.

Removal from his residence this morning, Tuesday, October 15 to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for 11am Funeral Mass followed by Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin rd, Cavan at 3.30pm.

House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Maeve Lydon, Donegal and Dublin

The death has occurred of Maeve Lydon (née Ryan), St. John’s Point and formerly Mount Merrion, Dublin.

Ms Lydon passed away peacefully in the tender care of the staff of St Vincent’s University Hospital with her loving husband Donal by her side on Tuesday, October 8.

She will be very sadly missed by Donal who is inconsolable with grief and by her brother Padraig, her sisters Breeda and Caroline, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her brothers Seamus (Jim) and Edward, and her sisters Mairead and Antoinette.

Removal from Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum this morning, Tuesday, October 15, to Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion, arriving for 10am Funeral Mass, followed by prayers at Ballymacward Parish Church at 3pm followed by burial in Ballymacward Cemetery, Galway.
