The death has taken place of Margaret McCallion, Meentahalla, Ballymagan, Buncrana (F93 R52Y).

Deeply saddened by her death are sons, Kieran (Marie), Paul (Sandra), daughter, Mairead (Noel) grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Kieran and Lucas, her sister, Pat and wider family circle.

Predeceased by her husband, Leo, parents, Jim and Jane, brothers John, Vincent and B.

Margaret’s remains are reposing at her residence where all are welcome to come and pay their respects.

Removal from there on Wednesday morning at 10am going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Reqieum Mass at 11am with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Baby Dáire Boyle, Rahan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Baby Dáire Boyle, son of Jade McKnight and Padraig Boyle, baby brother of Charlie, who fell asleep in his mammy and daddy’s arms, surrounded by his loving family in the National Maternity Hospital, Holles St., Dublin on Saturday.

He will be forever remembered and loved by his mammy, Jade, daddy, Padraig, big brother, Charlie, granny and granda, Amanda and William McKnight, granny and granda, Marie and Seamus Boyle, his great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Baby Dáire will repose at McKnight’s family home, Rahan, Letterkenny on Tuesday from 11am. The house is strictly private to family and friends. Family time from after the rosary at 9pm and on the morning of the funeral. 

Mass of the Angels will take place in St Colmcille’s Church, Fintown on Wednesday at 11am. 

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the National Maternity Hospital, Holles St, Dublin, c/o any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director. 

Patrick Hanlon, Glasgow, Drumkeen and Gaoth Dobhair

The peaceful death has taken place at Glasgow Royal Infirmary of Patrick (Pat) Hanlon of Glasgow, Drumkeen and Meenaniller, Gaoth Dobhair.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, Bella (Ferry), daughters, Deirdre, Frances (Anthony), sons, Séan (Colette), Brian (Marie), grandchildren, Sophia, Francesca, Séan, Gaia, Luka and Mysie, and sister, Nora Rutherford. 

His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg on Wednesday, September 24, from 5pm until rosary at 8pm.

Removal afterwards to the family home in Meenaniller. House strictly private to family only.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 11 am in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Dunlewey. Interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.

Bonnie Day O’Donnell, Malin Head

The death has occurred of Bonnie Day O’Donnell, Ballyhillion, Malin Head.

Ms O’Donnell passed away peacefully at the Donegal Community Hospital.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her Aunt Rose, close friends Marty, Ray, Maria, James Joseph, extended family circle, friends and neighbours.

Bonnie’s remains will repose at the home of James Joseph Doherty (The Guy), Ballyhillion, Malin Head F93 V120.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, September 23 at 10.20am for 11am requiem Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Malin Head, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice C/O any family member or Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director.

 

George Moore, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of George Moore, Swilly View, Ballymaleel, Letterkenny.

Mr Moore passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, September 21.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Eileen, sons Derek (Hilary), Laurence (Nuala) and Raymond (Colleen), daughter Audrey Gamble (Donald), brother Ernie, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

George is predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters.

George’s remains are reposing at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, September 23 at 1.15pm going to Conwal Parish Church, Church Lane, Letterkenny for 2pm Funeral Service of Thanksgiving. Interment afterwards to Gortlee Cemetery, Letterkenny.

Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Peter McMenamin, Bruckless

The death has occurred of Peter McMenamin, Station Road, Bruckless.

Mr McMenamin passed away peacefully in his 97th year on Saturday, September 20.

Peter will be sadly missed by his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposedon Monday at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Ardara.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. 

Fr Vincent Gallogley, Rossnowlagh and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Fr Vincent Gallogley, Rossnowlagh and formally of West Port, Ballyshannon.

Fr Gallogley passed away peacefully in the gentle and exceptional care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of the Northwest Hospice on Sunday, September 21.

Predeceased by his parents James and Patricia, brother Reggie, sisters Eileen and Carmel and nephew Paul.

Funeral cortège will arrive on Tuesday to the Franciscan Friary, Rossnowlagh for reception prayers at 4 o’clock.

Reposing from 4.30pm to 6pm.

Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday in the Franciscan Friary at 11 o’clock with service of interment in the Friary grounds.

Fr Vincent will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and the Franciscan community. 

Seamus Doherty, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Seamus Doherty, Kinaderry, Welchtown, Ballybofey.

Mr Doherty passed away at Larissa Lodge Nursing Home, Letterkenny on Sunday, September 21.

Beloved husband of the late Pauline, much loved father to Patrick and John.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, neighbours and very many friends.

Funeral leaving his late residence on Tuesday, September 23 at 10.30 am for requiem Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin at 11am. Interment afterwards in Kilteevogue cemetery.
