Michael (Sonny) Rooney, Dublin and Bundoran

The death has occurred of Michael (Sonny) Rooney, Curam Care Nursing Home, Navan Road, Dublin and formerly Sea Road, Bundoran.

Mr Rooney passed away at The Mater Hospital in Dublin on Monday, September 9.

Deeply missed by his loving sister Betty Curran (McNeely Villas, Letterkenny), niece, nephews and extended family and friends in Dublin, Bundoran and Letterkenny.

Mr Rooney is predeceased by his parents John and Agnes and his sister Annie (Sea Road, Bundoran).

His remains will repose at the Curam Care Nursing Home on Thursday, September 12 from 9am with Requiem Mass at 11am in the Emmaus Chapel, Deaf Village, Cabra, Dublin 7 followed by light refreshments at HUB Café.

Private cremation afterwards at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Mass for the repose of Michael’s soul will take place in Bundoran at a later date.

Jean Kerr, Ramelton

The death has occurred of Jean Kerr, 4 The Staples, Ramelton.

Ms Kerr passed away peacefully in St Eunan’s Nursing Home on Sunday, September 8.

Sadly missed by her daughters Jennifer Johnston (Ian) and Andrea Watson (Hamish), and by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

House Private.

A Service of Thanksgiving will take place in First Ramelton Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, September 11 at 1.30pm.

Family flowers only please.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to St Eunan’s Patients Comfort Fund c/o McElwee Funeral Directors, Milford or to any family.

Paul Brannigan, Ramelton

The death has occurred of Paul Brannigan, Glenard, Ramelton.

Mr Brannigan passed away peacefully in London on Friday, August 30.

Sadly missed by his mother Pauline, sister Michele (Dolph), brothers Martin (Caroline), and Peter (Catherine), and by his nieces and nephews.

He is pre-deceased by his father Michael.

His remains will be received into St Mary’s Church, Ramelton on Wednesday evening, September 11 at 5pm to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass at 11am on Thursday morning, September 12, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Donna McDermott, Ballymacarthur, Greencastle

The tragic death has taken place of Donna McDermott, Ballymacarthur, Greencastle, F93 KX57.

Predeceased by her father Brendan and much loved daughter of Mary.

Heartbroken by her passing are her brothers and sister, Brendan, Brian, Danielle and Richard, Donna’s partner Robert, Donna’s sister in law Margaret and brother in law Will, Nikita and Andrea.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nieces Anna and Megen and her nephew Charlie, wider family circle, many friends and neighbours.

May Donna’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Ms McDermott will be reposing at the family home, where everyone is welcome to pay their respects, tomorrow, Tuesday September 10 from 11am to 9pm.

Traffic restrictions will be in place, with details of these to follow.

Family home private on Wednesday morning, September 11 with Funeral from there at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack followed by interment in Ballybrack Graveyard.

Packidy ( Denis) Boyle, Lr. Keadue, Burtonport

The death has taken place at his home of Packidy Boyle (Denis) Lr. Keadue.

Sadly missed by his wife Mary, daughters Annemarie and Noreen sons Denis and Kieran, his sister Madge and brother Manus and all his extended family.

Predeceased by his daughter Marguerita, brothers John and Anthony, sisters Hannah and Bridget.

Funeral Mass is taking place today, Tuesday, September 10 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Kincasslagh with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.

Mary Sarah Gallagher, Adderwell, Doochary

The peaceful death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Sarah Gallagher, Adderwell Doochary.

Sadly missed by her son Connie, daughters Ann-Marie, Sarah and Majella, her daughter in law Anne, son in laws, James, Eugene and Trevor. Her loved grandchildren, Elaine, Rachael, Katelyn, Stephanie, Hugh, Keelan and Stephen, her great-grandchildren James Anthony, Padraig and Darragh and her extended family.

Predeceased by her husband Con, sister Biddy Cannon, brothers Connie, Peter, Charlie and Hughie.

Her remains will repose in her son Connie’s house (F94CR62) from 5pm with Rosary at 9pm tonight.

Shuttle bus from McDermott’s garage in Doochary.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 11 at 11am in St. Colmcille’s Church, Fintown with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only donations in lieu to Donegal Hospice.

House private after Rosary until 11am. House strictly private the morning of the Funeral.

Georgina Doherty (née Long), Dublin and Bruckless

The death has occurred of Georgina Doherty (née Long), Deansgrange, Dublin and formerly Bruckless.

Ms Doherty passed away peacefully in her 95th year, in the loving care of her family and the wonderful staff of Dargle Valley Nursing Home on Friday, September 6.

Beloved wife of the late Jack, loving mother of Janet, Derek and the late Robert, mother-in-law of Patrick and Laura and adored Didi of Jonathan, Julian, Samuel, Pippa-Jordan, Kia, Aisling, Alba and Dara; she will be sadly missed by all her family, relatives and friends.

Service of Thanksgiving on Friday, September 13, at 11am in Dundrum Methodist Church, followed by interment in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Donations, if desired, to Christian Aid Ireland.

Evan Craig, Muff

The death has occurred of Evan Craig, Ballyboe, Ture, Muff.

Mr Craig passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 8.

Cherished son of Grace and Joe and much loved brother of Ciara (Darragh) and Orla (Caolin), loving boyfriend of Cloda.

A much loved grandson of Annie McColgan and uncle of Ellie and Anna.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his aunties and uncles, cousins, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Evan’s remains are now reposing at his home where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, September 11 at 2.15pm for 3pm Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church Muff followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.
