The peaceful death has taken place of Don McCrossan, Corryagan, Donaghmoyne, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Raphoe, after a short illness, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda in the dedicated care of all the team and with his family by his side.

Predeceased by his darling infant daughters, Deborah and Mary, his grandson, baby Adrian, parents, Mary Ann and William McCrossan, brothers, Mickey, Pat, Liam, Tommy, Eddie, Sean and Barney; sisters, Susan, May and Lizzie.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend, Kathleen, his son, Adrian and daughter-in-law, Kathryn, his cherished and adored grandchildren, Jonathan (Natasha) and Lauren (Jack), his precious and so loved great-grandchildren, Layla Rose and Lorcán, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 C653 today from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal privately on Thursday morning from his residence to St. Lastra’s Church, Donaghmoyne for requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private please.

Peter McMahon, Ballintra

The death has occurred of Peter McMahon, Ballymagroarty, Ballintra, F94 P9H2 and Roslea, Fermanagh, suddenly at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by brothers, John, Seamus, Eugene, Brian, Kevin and Oliver, sisters, Theresa and Eileen.

Beloved husband to Mary and loving father to Marie, Damien, (Yvonne), Louise (Adrian), Denise (TJ) and Peter (Joan). Loving grandad to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Brother to Noel (Roslea) and Mary (Coventry).

Fondly remembered by his brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and his many neighbours and friends.

Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

Bríd Heffernan, Derrybeg

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Bríd Heffernan, Factory Road, Derrybeg.

Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary Mc Ginley, husband, Tommy, daughter, Sharon and her mother and father in-law, Mary and Charlie Campbell.

Sadly missed by her daughters, Mary, Paula (Declan) and Bríd Anne (Colm), sons, Tommy, Martin, Patrick (Karen) and Eamonn (Sinéad), sisters, Eileen, Nora and Nan, brother, Eamonn, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at her home (F92 E1X9) today from 12pm to 9pm and on Wednesday from 12pm to 8pm.

House private after Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at 11am in St Colmcille’s Church, Cnoc Fola, burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Patricia Gallanagh, Buncrana

The peaceful death has taken place of Patricia Gallanagh, (née Fullerton) Blackfarm, Buncrana F93 FV48.

Deeply saddened by her passing are her loving husband, Paddy, daughters, Caitríona, Anne, Jennifer, Gemma and Gráinne; sisters and brothers, the wider family circle and Patricia’s many friends.

Patricia’s remains will be reposing from her late residence from 11am this morning where all are welcome to come and pay their respects.

Funeral from there on Thursday at 10.15am going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am requiem Mass with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Timmy O’Toole, Derrybeg

The death has taken place at his home of Timmie (Tim) O’Toole, Factory Road, Derrybeg and formerly of Inishturk, Co. Mayo.

Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Annie and sisters, Bridget, Nancy and Catherine.

Sadly missed by his wife, Máiread, daughters, Nicola (Darren) and Aisling (Georgie), sons Domnick and Josie, sisters, Philomena, Marie, Theresa, Margaret and Mary, brothers, John, Joe and Larry, grandchildren, Aoife, Jack, Sophie and Pádraig and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg, F92 DN4X today from 3pm to 8pm. Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place at 11am on Wednesday, January 7 in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Dunlewey, with burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

William Gallagher, Cloghan

The death has occurred of William Gallagher, Cloghanmore, Cloghan, and formerly of Tullyhonor, Breenagh.

Predeceased by his parents, Conal and Bridget, his sister, Grace Kelly, December 2024, and his niece, Grace Marley, August 2012.

Deeply regretted by his nieces and nephews, the Breen family, Helena, Liam and Breid and the Kelly family, Mairead, Breda, PJ, Aidan, Séamus, Carmel, Claire, Evelyn and Louise.

Fondly remembered by his grandnephews and grandnieces, extended family members, good neighbours and many friends.

William’s remains will repose at his late residence today from 4pm until Rosary at 8pm.

The house is strictly private at all other times, and on the morning of the funeral.

The funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 7 at 11am in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin, followed by service of interment in Kilpheak Cemetery, Glenswilly.

Colm Doherty, Moville and Derry

The death has occurred of Colm Doherty, Derry, Dublin, Sligo and Donegal.

He died on December 31, peacefully at his home.

Loving father of Emma and Ed, and their partners Graham and Claire, devoted grandfather of Aoife and dear brother of Ryma, Finola, Eileen and the late Daniel, John and Gerry.

Deeply regretted by all his loving family, cherished friends and neighbours.

Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on today from 4pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, Moville on Wednesday at 11am. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Josephine Crumlish, Moville

The death has occurred of Josephine Crumlish (née Wilson), Quay Street, Moville.

She passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Daughter of the late William and Margaret Wilson.

Beloved wife of Paul and much loved mother of Connor.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters and brothers, Beatrice (John), Patsy (Madge), Bernadette and Mary (RIP) (Paddy), nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

The family home is private on the morning of the funeral.

Sean O’Neill, Bundoran and Belfast

The death has occurred of Sean O’Neill, 95 Whitemaple Drive, Bundoran and formerly of Balfast, Down.

Mr O’Neill passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Sunday, January 4.

Forever loved and sadly missed by his loving wife Annemarie, his beloved daughter Teresa, his brothers Eddie and Willie, sister Brigid and all his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by his beloved son Keith, his parents Joe & Brigid O’Neill, brother Frankie and sisters Margaret, Rosaleen and Jeannie.

Reposing at Breslin’s Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran (F94E92F) today from 5pm to 7pm

Removal from Breslin’s Funeral Home on Wednesday morning, January 7 at 10.40am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea,

Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am.

Removal afterwards to the Abbey Cemetery, Rossnowlagh Rd, Ballyshannon for burial service.

Patrick J (Pat) McLoone, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Patrick J (Pat) McLoone, 14, McMahon Villas, Letterkenny.

Mr McLoone, who worked in the Administration Department of the HSE, passed away on Saturday, January 3.

Predeceased by his parents, Sally and Peter, brother John, and sister Mary Burke (England). Sadly missed by his sisters Anne Colhoun (Donegal Town), Mairead Collins (Waterford), Bernie Alcorn (Lisnennan) and Carmel Fox (Dublin), brother Peter (Clare), brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, many friends and neighbours.

Mr Doherty passed away at his home on Saturday, January 3.

Beloved husband of Breege and much loved father of Madeline (Donald), Caroline (John), Rosemarie (Jeremie), Josephine (Garret), Cathal (Breda), Gerard (Amanda), Breege (Neil Anthony), Dominic (Birgitta), Hugh Martin and Christopher (Georgia).

Dear brother of Packie, Hubert, Eleanor and Sheila.

The death has occurred of Maura O’Brien (née Griffin), 3 Townparks, Lifford and formerly of Castlefin.

Ms O’Brien passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Saturday, January 3.

Beloved wife of the late Sean, much loved mother of Eunan (Bernadette), Paula (Trevor) and Michael (Deirdre), dearly loved grandmother of Sinead and Cormac and sister of Roisin, Una, James and the late Jean and Grace.

Reposing at her home.

Funeral leaving her home on this morning at 11.30am for requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Castlefin.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughter, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces and family circle.

Helen (Babs) Flannery, Cork and Buncrana

The death has occurred of Helen (Babs) Flannery (née Cotter), Macroon, Cork and formerly of Buncrana.

Ms Flannery passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 1.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Lorraine, Lorna and Aimée, Aimée’s partner Ray; her adored grandchildren Rose, Fíonn, Ardán and Alex; her sisters Evelyn and Mary; extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A humanist ceremony will take place at The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy (P43DD71) at 12 noon, today.

No flowers please.

James (Jim) Melly, Meath and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Melly, Bogganstown, Dunree, Co Meath and formerly of Ballyshannon.

Mr Melly passed away at home on New Year’s Day.

Predeceased by his devoted and loving wife Phil.

Very deeply regretted by his brother Michael, and his sisters Mairead (Clarke), Noreen (O’Grady), Mary Melly, Anne Melly, Berna (Cox), his brothers-in-law Mick and Tom, and his sister-in-law Kate.

He is also fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Arriving at Glasnevin Crematorium at 2.30pm today.
