The death has occurred of John Dorrian, Meenachan, Inver, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Bruckless, surrounded by his loving family. 

Predeceased by his sisters, Nancy Dorrian and Mary Arnold and his great-grandnephews, Cooper and Eoin Aronold. 

He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, and a large circle of family, neighbours and friends. 

John’s remains will repose at his nephew John Arnold’s home at Meenachan, Inver, F94 TW30 on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 noon until 9pm, with rosary at 9pm each night.

Removal on Friday at 10.30am to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses for 11am funeral Mass with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sr Brigid Mary Kennedy, Frosses

The death has occurred of Sr. Brigid Mary Kennedy peacefully at St. Anne’s Nursing Home, Surrey, England on  January 7.  

Predeceased by her parents, Paddy and Mary Ann Kennedy, Ballybrillighan, Frosses and her brothers, Patsy, Hugh and Seamus. 

Deeply regretted by her cousin, Maura Woods and family, Sisters of our Lady of the Missions, friends and neighbours in Ireland and England.  

Sr. Brigid’s funeral will take place in England 

A Mass for the repose of her soul will take place in the Church of Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses at a date to be confirmed.

Imelda McLoone, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Imelda McLoone (née Kelly), Abbeylane, Ballyshannon and formerly of Ballymahon, Co. Longford. 

Surrounded by her loving family at Sligo University Hospital, Predeceased by her husband, Michael, her parents, Michael and Josephine, her sister, Maisie and her brothers, Hugh, Brendan and Matt. 

Survived by her children, Michael, David, Philip and Caroline, her daughters in-law, Elaine, Aoife and Louise and son in-law, Noel. 

Adored by her grandchildren, Aaron, Kate, Daniel, Nicole, Emily and Conall, brother, Mike (Washington DC) and in-laws, Catherine McLoone, Catherine Kelly, Peter and Liz, Paul and Marie, nieces, nephews, all her extended family and many friends. 

Reposing at her residence Abbeylane, Ballyshannon, F94 F6D7 on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm and Friday from 3pm to 7pm. 

Removal on Saturday, January 17 from her residence for 11am funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon followed by burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery. 

The house shall be private to family outside of reposing times and on the morning of the funeral. The funeral Mass shall be streamed live on St. Patrick’s Church page on www.churchservices.tv/Stpatricksballyshannon/.

John Friel, Churchill

The peaceful death has occurred of John Friel, Ballynakilly, Churchill and formerly Oughterlin, Rathmullan on January 13 surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Sheila, predeceased by his brother, Paddy and his parents, Katie and Paddy.

Treasured Daddy of Caroline (Andy), Marie (Peter), PJ (Brigid) and Michelle.

Cherished granddad to Shaun, Paula, Andrew, Jamie, Emmett and Katie and adored great-granddad.

Dearly missed by his extended relatives and friends.

Reposing at his late residence.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 15 at St. Columba’s Church, Glenswilly at 11am followed by burial in Rathmullan cemetery.

The sudden death has taken place of Veronica (Vonnie) O’Hanlon, 29 Daly Terrace, Letterkenny.

Reposing at the Letterkenny Funeral Home, Port Road, Letterkenny (F92 P407), on Tuesday evening and again on Wednesday, January 14 from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral Home is private to family and close friends on the morning of the funeral please.

Leslie Burnett, 1 Abbey View Terrace, Ballyshannon 

The death has occurred of Leslie Burnett, 1 Abbey view Terrace, Ballyshannon, and formerly of Strangford, Co. Down.

Peacefully at home, on Monday, January 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his dearly loved partner Margaret Gallagher and beloved brother of Sylvia and brother in-law John Wills.

Predeceased by his parents Harry and Ethel. Deeply regretted by his partner Margaret, sister Sylvia, brother in-law John and nephews Ciarán, Jamie and Robbie, all extended family and friends.

Reposing at his late residence (f94 V304) on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm.

Angela Flanagan (Née Feely), Ballyshannon

The death has taken place of Angela Flanagan, East Port Ballyshannon and formerly of Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Letrim.

Peacefully in the gentle and exceptional care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Ballyshannon Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Angela will be dearly missed by her husband Tony, her sister Frances, her brother Ciaran (RIP), her niece and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral to arrive at St Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon on Wednesday evening at 7pm for reception prayers, to repose overnight.

Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30am on Thursday with service of cremation at Lakelands, Crematorium, Dublin Road, Co Cavan at 4pm.

Maureen Flynn (née Banks), East End, Bundoran

Peacefully in the gentle and exceptional care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at the Nazareth House Nurseing Unit, Sligo, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas, grandson Sean Flynn, brothers Padraic Banks and John Banks.

Beloved mother to Brendan (Caroline), Martin, Trisha, Michael (Amanda). Grand children and great grand children. Forever remembered by her extended family, neighbours and friends.

Removal from Breslin’s Funeral home on Wednesday, January 14 at 10.40am to arrive at Our Lady’s Star of the Sea Church, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with service of interment in St. Ninnidh’s cemetery, Bundoran.

The death has occurred of John Coyle, Main Street, Newtowncunningham.

Deeply missed by his partner Bella.

Beloved son of Seamus and Patricia. Proud father of Rachel, David, Leah and Debbie. Grandfather of Charlie and Riley.

Predeceased by his brother Patrick.

Deeply missed by his brothers and sisters Liam, Mary, Anne, Susanna, Louise, Raymond, Paula, Michael and Kieran.

Also deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Alfie Gallagher, St Johnston

The death has occurred of Alfie Gallagher, Ardagh, St Johnston, Co Donegal, F93 D924 .

Lovingly missed by his daughters and sons: Clare (Paul), Jim (Libby), Feargal (Georgina), Áine (Tommy), and Alfie (Natasha); his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and all his extended family and friends.

Alfie was predeceased by his wife Anne. May they both Rest in Peace.

Alfie will repose at his late residence today from 6pm to 9pm, and on Wednesday, January 14, from 12pm to 9pm.

The funeral cortege will leave his late residence on Thursday, January 15, at 10.15am, travelling to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham, for 11am requiem Mass, followed by burial in St Columba’s Church, Drumoghill.

Lily Harley, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Lily Harley (née Price), Curraghleas, Letterkenny.

Ms Harley passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice on Monday, January 12.

Deeply missed by her loving daughters Bríghde (Andy), Isle of Man and Marian (Liam), Letterkenny and her son John (Veronica), Bruckless, sister Nellie McHugh (Charlie), Letterkenny, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Lily is predeceased by her husband Joe, her parents and brothers and sisters.

Lily’s remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, January 14 at 1.15pm going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 2pm requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny.

The death has occurred of Davy Murray, Whiteleas, Ramelton.

Mr Murray passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 12.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Annabella, daughters Marian (Vinnie), Bernadette (John) and Angela, sons John (Margaret), David (Anne Marie), Francis (Cathy), Christopher (Janette), Paul (Patricia), Kieran (Olivia), Trevor (Nicole), Nicholas, Raymond, Kevin (Kelly-Anne) and Dessie (Grace), 33 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Martha and Susan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his brothers James and John.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday, January 14 from 11am until 10pm.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, January 15 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place of Dan McFeely peacefully at Saint Columbcille Village, Clonmany and late of Carrowmenagh on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Beloved husband of Helen and much loved father of Neil and Gary.

Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Dan’s remains will be reposing at the home of his late sister, Mary McGonagle, Carrowmenagh F93 PC93.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, January 14, at 10.30am for 11am requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Ballinacrae, followed by Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place at her home of Patsy Henderson (née Brennan), 10 Meenashesk Place, Strabane, and formerly of Corcullion, Castlefin.

Beloved wife of Noel, much loved mother of Barry, mother-in-law of Joanna, dearly loved grandmother of Megan and Marcus, and sister of Seamus, Kevin, and the late Kay.

Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday morning, January 14 at 9.25am, for requiem Mass in St Mary`s Church, Melmount at 10 o’clock, with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brothers and family circle.

Patricia Bonner, Convoy and Raphoe

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Patricia Bonner, née Doherty, Townparks, Convoy and formerly from Ballyholey, Raphoe.

Deeply missed by her husband Laurence Bonner and sons and daughters Donal, Stephanie (Daniel), Fionnuala (Cormac), Laurence (Patricia), Imelda (Seamus) and Lorraine (Simon),  13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Doherty, and her siblings.

Removal from The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny took place on Tuesday evening, going to St Eunan’s Church, Raphoe to repose overnight.

Funeral there on Wednesday, January 14 at 11am which can be viewed live on https://parishofraphoe.ie  with interment afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Mary O’Brien, Mayo and Ardara

The death has occurred of Mary O’Brien (née Ward), Treenduff, Bohola, Co Mayo and formerly of Lagunna, and Ardara.

Ms O’Brien passed away on Sunday, January 11, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of Mayo University Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Francis and Mary Ellen Ward. Sadly missed by her husband Michael, sons Jon and Aiden, daughters-in-law Adrienne and Niamh, grandchildren Kayleigh, Cormac and Finn, her sisters Peggy Roarty, (Creeslough), Bridget Magee, (Falcarragh), and brother John, (Ardrah) nephews, nieces, neighbours, and Friends.

Mary’s remains will repose at the Sheridan Memorial Community Centre, Bohola (F12 VP28) on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.

Mary’s funeral Mass will take place in the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara on Thursday at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Vivien Holt,  Malin

The death has occurred of Vivien Holt, Goorey, Malin, peacefully at Carndonagh Community Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband John and much loved mother of Caroline (RIP), Marianne and James.

Beloved grandmother of Edward, Patrick, Michael, Catherine and Esmé and Gran-Gran of Tilly, Evie and Romy.

Predeceased by her sister Sheila and sadly missed by her sisters, Di, Val and Ros, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Vivien’s remains will repose at her home on Friday, January 16 from 12pm to 6pm where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Vivien’s funeral Service will take place on Saturday, January 17 at 2pm in Cloncha Parish Church, Malin Town, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
