Phyllis Patton, Castlefinn

The death has occurred of Phyllis Patton (née Gillespie), of Grahamsland, Castlefinn.

Ms Patton passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, on Sunday, August 3.

Much loved mother of Chris (Kathy), Lyndon (Lorraine), Sha (Ellie) and Benita (Paul), loving nana of Conor (Edel), Darryl (Chloe), Zara, Jack and Molly and great-nana of Méabh, dearest sister of Benny, Nettie, Michael, Leo, Margo, Damien and the late Marie Goretti, Billy and Cherie, cherished daughter of the late Eileen and Joe.

Reposing at Lynch’s Funeral Home, 50 Castlefin Road, Castlederg BT81 7EE on Tuesday, August 5 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Phyllis will be conducted in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6 at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Castlefinn.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by her entire family circle.

John Gibbons, Dublin and formerly Fanad

The death has taken place of John (Pat) Gibbons, Rathmines, Co. Dublin and formerly of Ballymagahey, Fanad.

John passed away peacefully on Sunday in the tender care of his family at St James Hospital Dublin.

He was predeceased by his brothers, James and Mickey and sisters, Sally and Katie.

John will be deeply missed by Brendan, his companion in life and love, his siblings Margaret, Úna, Paddy, Sheila, Bernard, Fr Danny and Columba. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his extended family, neighbours, past colleagues and students, and his many friends.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 5 at 12 noon in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Refuge of Sinners, Rathmines, Co. Dublin. John’s remains will then travel to St Columba’s Church, Massmount, Fanad, arriving at 7pm, to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 6, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Merchants Quay Ireland or The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association care of any family member.

Danny Kelly, Termon

The death has occurred of  Danny Kelly, Currin, Termon (F92F586), peacefully at his late residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by parents, John and Ellen, sister, Ellen and brother, Hugh.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, son, John and wife Fionnuala. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Jack, Finn, Luka and Ava, extended family members, neighbours and friends.

Danny’s remains will repose at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Wednesday for requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Termon at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 11pm until 12 noon and on the morning of the funeral.

Samuel Delap, Milford

The death took place on July 4 of Samuel Delap, 44 Ashburton Avenue, Addiscombe, Croydon. CR0 7JE. United Kingdom, formerly Ballyconnelly, Milford.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife, Colina, son, Hector, daughter-in-law, Jane, grandson, Leo, sister, Eileen Moore and brother-in-law, George Moore (Ballymaleel), sister-in-law, Carol Delap (Ballyconnelly), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his sister, Anna Stewart (Brambles, Ramelton) and his brother, Roy Delap, (Ballyconnelly).

Reposing at the residence of his nephew, Austin Delap, Aughnish, Ramelton, F92 P668, on Tuesday August 5 from 1pm until 10pm.

Funeral Service on Wednesday August 6 at 2pm in Ramelton Presbyterian Church. Burial afterwards in Bank Cemetery.

Joe O’Donnell, Jersey and formerly Gortahork

The death has occurred of Joe O’Donnell, St Helier, Jersey, and formerly of Ardsmore, Gortahork.

He passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 26, aged 51.

Predeceased by his loving parents, Bernard and Gracie O’Donnell. Sadly missed by his brothers, David McNally and David O’Donnell, sisters, Julie and Marianne O’Donnell, his nieces and nephews, Fionn, Naincí, Gracie, Úna, Sally, Maureen, Daphne and Oscar, brothers and sister-in-law, Brian, John and Abi, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues and a wide circle of friends in Jersey and Donegal.

A memorial service will be held at Jersey Crematorium, Westmount Road, St Helier on Thursday, August 7 at 10am.

Remains will repose at Ardsmore, F92 E4H1 with wake commencing on Friday, August 15 at 12 noon with Rosary at 8pm. Private house after the Rosary.

Removal to Christ the King Church, Gort a’ Choirce F92 DP86 for requiem Mass on Saturday, August 16 at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

A shuttle bus will be available from An Stór, Gort a’ Choirce to attend the wake.

Michael McMenamin, Birmingham and formerly Ballybofey

The peaceful death has occurred of Michael Joseph McMenamin in Birmingham, England, formerly of Curraghamone, Ballybofey (F93 2DP5).

Predeceased by his parents, Lizzie and Dan, brothers, Vinnie and Danny, and grandsons, Éamonn and Tony.

Devoted husband of Gráinne and dearly beloved father of Kathleen, Éilis, Roseleen, Noel and Michelle and father-in-law to Mick, Joe, Sharon and Steve. Loving grandfather to Gráinne, Tony, Kate, Éamonn, Rónán, Michael, Dan, Pearce, Ciarán, Luke and Aidan and great-grandchildren Lily and Luke. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A Mass to celebrate Michael’s life will take place on Tuesday, August 12 at 11am in Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Yardley Wood, Birmingham.

Interment afterwards in Widney Manor Cemetery, Solihull at 1pm.

Michael Gallagher, Scotland and Downings

The peaceful death has taken place in the Donegal Hospice of Michael (Michi) Gallagher, Scotland and Kinelargey, Downings.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 1pm followed by interment in Mevagh Cemetery.

Mary McBride, Downings

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary McBride (Fenny), Larganreagh, Downings.

Her remains are reposing at the home of her son Denis (Bubbles) at Kinnelargey, Downings.

Funeral from there on Tuesday going to the Church of St. John the Baptist for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary will be sadly missed by her son, Denis (Bubbles), her daughter, Mary Clyde, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
