Alexander (Lander) Boyd, Ardara

The death has taken place peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and friends of Alexander (Lander) Boyd Stonebrook, Loughros Point, Ardara.

Predeceased by his loving wife Martina and sister Margaret.

Sadly missed by his brothers Tom (Imelda), Desmond (Hilda), Alfred (Kathy), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

His remains will repose at his residence, F94XD95, today, Tuesday.

Funeral service at his home on Wednesday afternoon, April 30 at 2 pm followed by burial in Kilcashel Graveyard.

Christina Peoples, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Christina Peoples, Derryveagh Avenue, Letterkenny.

Deeply regretted by her son Paul (USA), her daughter Mary, grandchildren Calumn, Shannon and Brandon (his partner Savanna) and great-grandchild Kaiden.

Sadly missed by her niece Shiela Wright, grandniece Lisa Wright, great-grandniece Harper her extended family, neighbours and many friend.

May She Rest In Peace.

Christina’s remains will arrive at St. Eunan’s Cathedral at 6pm on Tuesday, April 29 to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 30 followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

James McDaid, Culdaff

The peaceful death has taken place at Carndonagh Community Hospital of James McDaid, Redford, Culdaff.

Predeceased by his sister Mary Bennett.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters Eileen, Hannah, Kathleen, Margaret and Elizabeth, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

James’s remains will repose at the home of his niece Mary and Gearld Dixon, Gortin, Ballyloskey, Carndonagh F93 N139.

Funeral from there on Wednesday (April 30th) at 10.10am for 11am Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Bocan followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Maeliosa Doherty, Clonmany

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Maeliosa Doherty, Terhoran, Clonmany, F93 R6C2 surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved Husband of Annabelle, dearly loved Father of Bernard (Gabby), Joseph (Maria), Lucille (Alan) and Maeliosa (Marie). Adored grandfather of Odhran, Dylan, Ryan, Aoibh, Cuan, Saoirse and Oisin.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Maeliosa’s remains will repose at his home.

Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday 30th April at 10.30am, going to St. Mary’s Church, Clonmany, for requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the new cemetery.

Joan Kennedy, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Joan Kennedy, 55 Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny.

Ms Kennedy passed away on Monday, April 28.

She is predeceased by her parents Christy and Nan, brother Jim and sisters Maura (London) and Eileen (San Francisco).

Sadly missed by her nieces Jackie, Suzanne, Louise and Helen, nephews Kevin, Rory and Jimmy, Shaun, Kevin, Chris (London) and Kevin (San Francisco), extended family, many friends and neighbours.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 29, where you are most welcome to pay your respects, concluding with removal to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for Reception Prayers at 8pm.

Reposing overnight for 1pm Requiem Mass on Wednesday, April 30, which can be viewed live on the link www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Tadhg Gallagher, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Tadhg Gallagher, Church Road, Killybegs.

Mr Gallagher, of Gallagher Bros. Ltd (Fish Merchants), passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday, April 28.

Predeceased by his parents Jack and Maud, brothers Phelim, Jackie, Michael and Patrick, nephews Jack, Paul, Michael, Barry, Philip and grandchild Maria Anna.

Sadly missed by his beloved wife Sheila and cherished children Susan, Marc and David, son-in-law PJ, daughters-in-law Ailbhe and Evelyn, Brothers Frank and Eamon, sisters Mai and Anne, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A dear grandfather to Michael, Adam, Matthew, Finn, Jake, Liam, Eva, Lily and Maggie.

Remains reposing at his late residence on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon – 8pm.

House private at all other times.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 1 at 11am in St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Anna Luisa Bonamici, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Anna Luisa Bonamici, Creevy, Ballyshannon.

Ms Bonamici passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of all at The Ballyshannon Community Hospital on Sunday, April 27.

Predeceased by her husband Enzo and daughter Christina.

Anna Luisa will be forever loved and sadly missed by her loving family, her adored son Luca, daughter-in-law Caroline (Patton) and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal from her late residence on Tuesday to Lakeland’s Crematorium Cavan for Private Cremation service.

Betty Stewart, Falcarragh 

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Betty Stewart, Moyra, Falcarragh.

Sadly missed by her son, Leslie, daughter, Jacqueline, grandchildren, Stewart, Philippa and Jennifer, extended family and friends. Berry was predeceased by her husband, Bobby.

There is no wake.

Funeral Service in Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday at 2pm with burial afterwards in Ballymore Graveyard.

Manus Elliott, Doochary

The death has occurred of Manus Elliott, Doochary, peacefully, following a long illness borne with great strength and dignity, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful tender care of the staff of Áras Mhic Shuibhne.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary, his parents, Simon and Rosie, and his brother, Paddy.

Manus will be forever loved and greatly missed by his children, Rosemarie, Annette and Simon, his grandchildren, Enda, Paul, Maria, Cian, Eoin, Katie and Luke, his sons-in-law, Oliver and Liam, daughter-in-law, Mary, his brothers, Dinny, Connell, Huddie (Hughie) and Columba, his sisters, Mary, Sarah-Anne, Gracie and Teresa, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 1pm in St. Conal’s Church, Doochary followed by burial in the new cemetery. 

Catherine (Kitty) Sweeney, Clydebank and Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kitty) Sweeney (née Hone), Clydebank, and formerly of Finadose, Clar, Donegal Town.

Ms Sweeney passed away, aged 92 years old, at her home surrounded by all her loving family on Tuesday, April 15.

Beloved wife of the late Peter, mother to Annemarie, John, Patricia, Kathleen, Brenda, Denise, Peter, and the late Andrew. Sister to Eamon Hone.

Much loved by everyone including her sons and daughter in laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren friends and wider family.

Funeral Mass will take place in St Eunan’s Chapel, Clydebank on Tuesday, April 29 at 9.30am, followed by burial in Dalnotter Cemetery.

House private from Monday evening, April 28.
