Kathleen McGLOIN (née Ferguson) West End, Bundoran, Donegal / Belcoo, Fermanagh

Kathleen McGloin, (nee Ferguson), West End, Bundoran, Co. Donegal and formerly of Belcoo, Co. Fermanagh. 25th September 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Sligo University Hospital. Kathleen will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving family, husband Michael, sons Michael, Patsy and Kevin, daughters Carmel and Nuala, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, her beloved 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, her brothers John (Kilkenny) Peter (Belcoo), sister Mary (Belcoo) and all her nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and all at Aras Mhic Suibhne Nursing Home, Laghey where Kathleen spent the last number of years. Predeceased by her loving daughter Catherine Kennedy (Ballyshannon), her parents Barney and Anne Ferguson, brothers Benny and Pakie and sister Rosanne.

Reposing at the Family Home, West End, Bundoran on Thursday, 26th Sept., from 3pm to 10pm, all welcome. House private to family, close friends and neighbours at all other times. Removal on Friday morning, 27th Sept., at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran for Burial Service.

Rose Theresa Mc Dermott (née Cannon) Birmingham and formerly Magheroarty, Gortahork

The sudden death has taken place in Wolverhampton Hospital, England of Rose Theresa McDermott (nee Cannon) of Birmingham and formerly of Magheroarty, Gortahork, Co. Donegal. Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Ellen, her brother James Anthony. Survived by her daughters Eve and Clara, her sister Geraldine, brother in law Hughie, nieces Laura and Charlotte, and a circle of family and friends.

Rose’s remains will travel the Derryconnor Road, over Magheroarty hill and back to arrive at Christ the King Church, Gortahork at approximately 6.00pm on Friday, the 27th Sept., with Rosary on arrival.

Rita Bradley, 35 Woodlawn, Stranorlar, formerly Rosslare, Co. Wexford

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Rita Bradley, 35 Woodlawn, Stranorlar, F93 H7E2, formerly Rosslare, Co. Wexford.

Beloved wife of John, much loved mother of Brendan, Damien, Claire, Shane, Eva, dearly loved grandmother to Tamara, Naomi, Shania, Joel, Yashin, Bobby, Callum, Jay, Davitt, Shaunie, Erin, Beth, Kael, Libby.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Queen of The Most Holy Rosary Pray For Her.

Remains reposing at her late residence on today, Thursday September 26th from 12 noon.

Funeral leaving her residence on Saturday September 28th at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.

Interment in Drumboe cemetery.

Michael Barr, 51 Brookhill, Culmore Road

The death has taken place of Michael Barr, on 23rd September, 2024, beloved husband of the late Patricia Gillen, 51 Brookhill, Culmore Road, loving father of Eoghan and Rory, father-in-law of Colleen and Andrew, devoted grandfather of Oisin, Ríain, Fionan, Eibhlin, Cillian and Charlotte, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth and dear brother of Mary, Celia, Philomena, Elizabeth, Sean and the late Liam and Patrick.

His remains will be reposing in his home from 3 pm on Wednesday.

Funeral from there on Friday at 11.30 am for 12 pm Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown.

Interment afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Iskaheen, Muff. Family time please from 10 pm to 11 am.

John Kennedy, Ballyshannon and Leitrim

THE death has occurred of John Kennedy, Coolcholly, Donegal Road, Ballyshannon and formally Rantogue, Aghacashel, Leitrim.

Mr Kennedy, a retired member of An Garda Siochana, passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the Northwest Hospice, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, 24.

Predeceased by his parents James and Brigid.

John will be sadly missed by his wife Peggy, children John (Ita), Orla (Matthew), Anne (Noel), Paul (Thomas) and Mary (Colm), grandchildren, Bronagh, Conal, Aoife, Aine, Orlaith, Brigid and Darragh, sister-in-law Kitty, Brothers in Law – Maute, Frank, and all his relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGee’s Funeral home, Belleek road, Ballyshannon on Thursday from 4.30p.m to 7.30p.m.

Removal on Friday morning from his late residence at 10.30a.m to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with service of Interment in the Abbey Assaroe cemetery.

Ann (Annie) Hinchey Kennedy (née French), Dundalk and Lifford

THE death has occurred of Ann (Annie) Hinchey Kennedy (née French), Crescent 2, Muirhevnamor, Dundalk, Louth and formerly Lifford and Scotland.

Ms Hinchey Kennedy passed away peacefully in the dedicated care of Silverstream Nursing Home, Dundalk and her daughter Christine on Tuesday, September 24.

Predeceased by her husband John Hinchey, sons Padraig (Glasgow) and Míceal, parents Tom and Mary, brothers Patsy, Jim and Tom and sisters Peggy and Lizzie. She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing daughters Marian (O’Connor), Irene (Love), Christine (Hinchey), son Tomás (Hinchey), sons-in-law Michael O’Connor and Andy Love, daughters-in-law Maryrose and Sheuli, grandchildren Barry, Donna, Anthony, James, Louise, Gerard, Darren, Sophie, Anthea, John, Christopher and Niall, great-grandchildren, brother Alec (French), sisters Bernie, Myra and Pam, sister-in-law Kathleen, brother-in-law John, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Funeral Ceremony and Liturgy on Thursday, September 26 in the adjoining Eternity Room at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation.

Owen (Owenie Charley Khit) Doherty, Carrick McGarvey, Derrybeg

The death has taken place at Áras Gaoth Dobhair of Owen Doherty (Owenie Charley Khit), Carrick McGarvey, Derrbeg, orignally from Knockastolar.

Predeceased by his son Owenie, brother John and sister Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughters Agnes, Margaret and Collette, son Mark, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will take place on today, September 26, at 1pm in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg with interment afterwards in Maghergallon cemetery.

Anne Buggy (née Lydon), Ballyshannon and Galway

The death has occurred of Anne Buggy, The Abbey, Ballyshannon and formerly Moycullen, Galway.

Ms Buggy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, September 22 in Mayo University Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of PJ and mother to Grainne (Ian), Donal (Mairead), Sinead (Adrian), Aisling (Paul), Pauric (Aine), Ciara (Brian), and Aoife (Andrea). She will be forever missed by her grandchildren Christopher, Anna, Matthew, Max, Lucy, Jack, Zoe, Noah, Olivia, Theo, Alex, and Amalia.

She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Padraic, Michael, Katherine, Bridie, Nora, Eileen, and Bernie, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues.

We lovingly remember her brothers Sean and Seamus, her sister Mary and her son-in-law, Kyle.

Funeral to arrive at St. Patricks Church, Ballyshannon on today for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with service of Interment in the Abbey Assaroe cemetery.

Grace Harkin, Falcarragh

The death has occurred of Grace Harkin (née Doogan), Upper Shroughan, Falcarragh.

Ms Harkin passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, September 22.

Predeceased by her husband; Micheál Rua, sisters; Annie, Mary, Margaret and Teresa and brothers; Danny, Johnny and infant brother.

Sadly missed by her daughters; Cathy, Margaret and Ann, sons; Paul and Michael, in-laws; Neil, John, Denis, Moira and Emer and her beloved grandchildren.

Funeral Mass today, September 26 at 11am in Christ the King Church, Gortahork with interment afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.
