Ivan Walker, Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Ivan Walker, Spamount, Dunkineely.

Mr Walker passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 16.

Predeceased by his parents Isobel and William, his brothers John and Bob, sisters Edna, Maud and infant sister.

Sadly missed by his wife Joan, sons Adrian (Gail), Trevor, Brian (Janet) and his daughter Anne, his adoring grandchildren Ruth, Rachel, Lauren, Robert, Megan, Derek, Zoe and Jodie, great grandchildren Zach, Kayden, Maddison, Henry and Hadley, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at his residence on Thursday from 2 pm to 8 pm and on Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm.

House strictly private at all other times please.

Funeral service on Saturday at 1pm in Dunkineely Methodist Church, followed by committal in the Killaghtee graveyard.

A one way system will be in operation for the duration of the wake, entering via Killaghtee garage.

Derek Row, Kildare, Derry, Sligo and Donegal

The death has occurred of Derek Row, Nas Kildare, Derry City, Sligo and Donegal.

Mr Row passed away after a long illness bravely borne on Tuesday, September 16.

Beloved husband of Nuala and loving daddy of Caitríona and Molly.

Derek will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife and daughters, grandchildren Aoife, Frieda, Nicholas, Abbie and Méabh, brother George, sons-in-law Michael and Evan, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, (Eircode W91 CD0K) on Thursday, September 18 from 5pm to 7pm.

A celebration of Derek’s life will take place on Friday, September 19 at 4pm at The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, followed by cremation.

Family flowers only please.

Donations, in lieu, to The Irish Cancer Society.

Ellen Robinson, Dunfanaghy and Antrim

The death has occurred of Ellen Robinson (née McKeown), Pound Street, Dunfanaghy and formerly Carrickfergus, Antrim.

Ms Robinson passed away on Wednesday, September 17.

Sadly missed by her husband Willie, daughter Mary, son in law Shane and her beloved grandsons Noah and Luke.

Also her brothers and sisters Bobby, John, Ned, Marie and Genny, nieces and nephews and the entire family circle.

Ellen will be reposing at her home in Dunfanaghy on Thursday, September18 and Friday, September 19 (house private please to family and friends).

Funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, Dunfanaghy on Saturday, September 20 at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Elizabeth McGinley, Cavan and Dunkineely

The death has occurred of Elizabeth McGinley (née Meehan), Mill Hill House, Belturbet, Cavan and formerly Dunkineely, Donegal.

Ms McGinley passed away peacefully at Lisdarn Unit, Cavan on Wednesday, September 17.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, son Shane, daughter Nuala, sister Margaret and brother Patrick.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, sons Tadgh and Michael, daughters Maura and Niamh (Sexton), brothers Charlie and Pete, grandchildren Shauna, Finola, John Teague, Daniel, Conal, Cassie and Rory, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Lily will be reposing at Lawlor Funeral Home, Ernehill Belturbet, (H14 R583) this Thursday from 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm.

Remains will arrive at the Church of Immaculate Conception, Belturbet for 12 noon funeral Mass on Friday morning with burial afterwards in Annagh cemetery.

House private please.

Kathleen Doherty, Laghey

The death has occurred of Kathleen Doherty (née Dunnion), Tullygallan, Laghey.

Ms Doherty passed away peacefully at her family home after a tough battle surrounded by the tender care of her loving family on Tuesday, September 16.

Born on August 3, 1956, Kate was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter baby Lauryn, her parents Mary and Denis, and her brother John.

She will be forever missed by her devoted husband Michael, her cherished children Linda (Joe), Shane (Jayne), Stephen (Karen), and Laura, and her adored grandchildren Callum, Dylan, Eoin, Emie, Kaiya, Kadi, Codyn, Jessica, Aaron, Odhran, Cara, and baby Bobby.

Kate is also deeply mourned by her sisters Margaret, Nelly (Seamus Rip) Marion (Puis) and Paula (Jim) her brothers Con (Sarah) Denis (Cath) and Peter (Eileen) brother-in-law’s Denis (Bredge), Joe (Susan) Eamonn(Tina) Eileen (Raymond) Marie (Willie RIP) her aunt Kathleen Cannon and uncle Tommy Gillespie, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, her many good friends, and the countless families whose children she lovingly cared for over the years.

Remains reposing at her late residence at Tullyearl, Laghey, F94 E0X4on Thursday, September 18.

Removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Lisminton, Ballintra, Co Donegal on Friday at 10:15 am for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock, with interment to the adjoining cemetery immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Dan Greene, Loughanure

The death has occurred of Dan Greene, Loughanure.

Mr Greene passed away in The Lakehouse Nursing Home Portnablagh on Monday, September 15.

His remains will repose at his home in Loughanure.

House is private please and also on the morning of the funeral.

Removal from his home on Thursday morning for 11am funeral Mass in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, followed by burial in Dungloe Cemetery.

Majella Duffy, Glengad

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Majella Duffy (Duey), Bunn, Glengad F93 K0E4.

Predeceased by her husband Johnny, her parents Rose and Andy Davenport and brother Gerard.

Much loved mother of Darren (Susan), Michelle (Kevin) and Patricia (Aiden) and devoted granny of Jessie, Emma, Danny and Shay, and sadly missed by her life long friend Teish.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters Esther and Mary K, her brother Phelim, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, all her work colleagues at Inishowen Oil Company, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Majella’s remains will repose at her home.

Funeral from there on Thursday, September 18 at 10.20am for 11am requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Joan McGee, Carrigans

The sudden passing has occurred of Joan McGee (née Gallagher), 2 Millpark, Carrigans, Co. Donegal, F93 WY01.

Joan will be lovingly missed by her son Christopher (Denise), daughter Joanne (Christopher), her partner Des Devlin, grandchildren Calvin and TJ, sisters and brothers Bernie, Marie, Pauline, Geraldine, Dolores, Martin, David, Neil, Oliver, Jimmy, Tony, and Paul, as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Joan is predeceased by her parents Mary and John, her brother Tommy, sister Nora, nephew Brian McDaid, and niece Noeleen Moore.

May they all Rest in Peace.

The funeral cortege will leave her residence on Thursday morning, September 18, at 10am, proceeding to St. Baithin’s Church, St. Johnston, for 11am requiem Mass.

Cremation will follow at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, Co Cavan.

Kevin Francis DeBurca, Killybegs and London

The death has occurred of Kevin Francis DeBurca (Burke), born November 18t, 1948, formerly of St. Catherines’ Road, Killybegs, and Balham, London.

He passed away peacefully on Sunday in a respite care home in London after a short illness.

Predeceased by parents, Joe and Cappy DeBurca, sisters, Catherine, Leonora (Comiskey) and brother, Rory.

Survived by his loving sisters, Joan (Simpson) and Sheila (Dunleavy), brothers, Fergus, Declan and Cormac, nieces, nephews, and grandnephews and grandnieces.

Cremation in London, and a subsequent funeral service in Killybegs to be announced at a later date.
