The death has occurred of Kathleen Ward (née Mc Ateer), Portsalon and formerly of Ray, Doaghbeg, Downings and Kilsaran, Co Louth.

Ms Ward, who is a retired primary school teacher, passed away at St Eunan’s Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 15.

Predeceased by her husband Enda and daughter Thecla.

Forever loved and deeply missed by her son Ronan (Dundalk), daughters Ita (Ballybofey), Maeve (Letterkenny) and Dara (USA), her grandchildren Clare, Neil, Sadhbh, Aoife, Rochelle, Michael and Cian, her great grandchildren Brayden, Senan, Fionn, Béibhinn and Nora.

Sister of Margaret Keeney (Letterkenny), Bridie Boyle (Ray), and the late Jimmy Kelly, Sr May McAteer, Nora Harkin, Eithne McGrath, Gerard McAteer, Agnes McAteer, Francis Mc Ateer and Paddy Mc Ateer. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her son, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandsons-in-law Peter, Victor, Joey, Doug, sister-in-law Sheila (Ray), nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home in Croaghross, Portsalon (F92 R5H9) from 2pm on Thursday, October 16.

Rosary at 8pm.

House private after 10pm and on the morning of the funeral.

Requiem Mass on Friday, October 17 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Fanavolty, Fanad, followed by a private cremation.

Michael Needham, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Michael Needham, Drumcliffe, Donegal Town.

Mr Needham passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday, October 15.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Phyllis, daughter Sharon (Jason), son Sean (Esther) grandchildren Finnan, Rowan, Una & Liam, nephews, nieces, neighbours, friends and extended family.

Michael’s remains will repose in Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94 FX3A from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday 16th October.

Michael’s requiem mass will be in St Mary’s Church, Killymard on Friday at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (Pat) Loughlin, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Loughlin, Tonery, Ballyshannon.

Mr Loughlin passed away in the gentle and exceptional care of Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 15.

Predeceased by his parents Denis and Johanna.

Beloved husband of Bernadette, cherished father to Marie (Edel), Lorraine (Jason), Pauric and Shelley (Cormac).

Devoted grandfather to Abbie, Fiadh and Sadhbh. Deeply missed by his siblings Hugh, Marie, Josephine and Dinny and extended family and friends.

Reposing on Friday at McGee’s Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon from 4 o’clock to 8 o’clock followed by removal to his late residence to repose overnight.

Removal from his late residence on Saturday at 11.15am to arrive at St Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon with service of interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Gavin Hanna, Donegal Town and Cork

The death has occurred of Gavin Hanna, Ardeskin, Donegal Town and formerly Midleton, Co Cork.

Mr Hanna passed away on Wednesday, October 15.

Sadly missed by his wife Elaine, daughters Kate and Niamh, sons Jack, Paul, David, his mother Margaret, brothers Ronan and David, sisters Arlene (Pauric), Lisa, Ciara (Killian), Aoife (Martin), nephews, nieces, friends, extended family, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Predeceased by his father David.

Gavin’s remains will repose at Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town, F94 FX3A from 3pm until 9pm on Friday, October 17.

Gavin’s requiem Mass will be in St Patrick’s Church Donegal Town on Saturday, October 18 at 10am with removal to Midleton, Co Cork, immediately afterwards.

Funeral Mass in The Church of the Most Holy Rosary, St Mary’s Road, Townparks, Midleton P25P265 on Monday, October 19 at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Wilkinson, Australia and St Johnston

The death has taken place in Melbourne, Australia, of Margaret Wilkinson, nee Graham, formerly of Momeen, St Johnston.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her beloved daughters, Colleen and Lynette, grandchildren, her sisters Mary Henderson (Donegal Town) and Eileen Hardy (London) and brothers Jim (Gillian) Momeen, William (Nellie) Ballyholey, and Maurice (Raye) Australia, and all her extended family and friends.

The Celebration for the Life of Margaret will be held in Melbourne on Thursday, October 16 at 11.15am (Irish Time, Thursday, October 16 at 1.15am).

Joe Sweeney (Joe Beag Joe Mór), Bunbeg

The death has taken place at Falcarragh Community Hospital of Joe Sweeney (Joe Beag Joe Mór) of Magheraclogher, Bunbeg.

Predeceased by his parents, Annie and Joe Mór, nephew Cormac, brother-in-law Barry, sister Máire and her husband Vincent, sister Susie and her husband Patsy.

Sadly missed by his sister Margaret (Richardson), nieces and nephews; Ciarán, Colm, Daríona, Paul, Majella &and Brian, and extended family and friends.

House private on the morning of the funeral.

Joe’s funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning, October 16 at 10am in St Patrick’s Church, Meenaweal, with burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Peggy Mooney, Bunbeg

The death has occurred of Peggy Mooney, Strand Road, Bunbeg.

Ms Mooney passed away in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair.

Predeceased by her parents; Kate and Mickey, sister Gracie, brother Neilí and niece Kathleen.

Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 16 at 1pm in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Dunlewey, F92 N668, with burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Conall Carr, Kilcar

The death has occurred of Conall Carr, Main Street, Kilcar and formerly of Paris, France.

Mr Carr passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14.

Susan Duffy, Carrigans

The death has occurred of Susan Duffy (née Peoples), Dunmore, Carrigans.

Ms Duffy passed away on Sunday, October 12.

Susan will be lovingly missed by her daughters Seána and Stephanie (Adrian); her grandchildren Liam (Zane) and Grace (David); her sister Annie Quinn, Galdonagh; her faithful companion Buddy the dog and all her extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Liam, her parents James and Sarah, her brothers Jimmy and Johnny, and her sisters Nellie and Rose.

May they all rest in peace.

The funeral cortege will leave her residence on Thursday morning, October 16, at 11.30 am, proceeding to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston, for 12 noon requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Ralf (Rafal) Konarski, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Ralf (Rafal) Konarski, Sheil Avenue, Bundoran and formerly of Poland.

Mr Konarski passed away suddenly while at home in Poland on Thursday, October 9.

Beloved and loving partner of Sylwia and adored father to daughter Weronika and son Kacper.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his loving partner, daughter and son, his mother Ewa, his brother Arek and all his extended family and his many friends.

He made Bundoran his home along with his loving partner Sylwia, and since moving here many years ago he loved the town and its community, Ralf was the most kind, helpful and heart-warming person to all he met and adored his family so much, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

His funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 16 in the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran at 11am.

Removal afterwards to St Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown Rd, Bundoran for burial service.

Grace Mary Norton, Antrim and Fintown

The death occurred on Wednesday, October 8 of Grace Mary Norton, (née McDevitt), Ballyclare, Co Antrim and formerly  Fintown, peacefully in her 99th year.

Beloved wife of the late Joe. Much loved mother of Deirdre, Eamonn, Peter and Grainne, mother-in-law of Paula, Joanne, Conor and the late Andrew. A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.

Grace’s remains are reposing at 101 Boghill Road, Templepatrick, BT39 0HS.

Requiem Mass will be held in St Bernard’s Church, 165 Antrim Road, Glengormley on Thursday, October 16 at 9.45am, followed by committal at Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium at 3pm.

No flowers please.

Charlie Logan, Raphoe

The death has occurred of Charlie Logan, London and formerly of The Diamond, Raphoe.

Mr Logan passed away in London on October 3.

Charlie is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Kathleen, his children, Emma, Brian, and Kevin, his cherished grandchildren, his brother, Ollie, sisters Etta, Gertie and Jean, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

He will be fondly remembered by all his family in London, Raphoe, and his connections in Buncrana.

Charlie was predeceased by his beloved parents, Charlie and Sadie Logan, and his brothers, Tommy and Willie.

The funeral service for Charlie is at the Roman Catholic Church of St Paul, Harefield on Thursday, October 16 at 11am.

After the service, you are warmly invited to join Charlie’s family at The Shamrock Sports and Social Club to share a drink and memories in his honour.
