Joan Attridge, Wicklow/Dublin/Donegal

The death has occurred of Joan Attridge, Oaklands Court, Church Lane, Greystones, Co Wicklow and formerly of Blackrock, Co Dublin.

Ms Attridge, who previously taught in secondary schools in Donegal, passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of Liz, Pat and their team at Eyrefield Manor Nursing Home Greystones in her 100th year.

Daughter of the late Nora (née McCarthy) and David Attridge.

Remembered with love by her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Attridge, neighbours, friends and residents of Eyrefield Manor.

Funeral Mass and cremation will take place privately at her own request.

Martin Geelan, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Martin Geelan, Donegal Road, Ballybofey.

Mr Geelan passed away at his late residence on Wednesday, November 13.

Beloved husband of Anne, much loved father of John, and Peter. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters in law Sharon, and Catherine, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Thursday, November 14, from 6pm to 9pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Friday, November 15, at 11.40 am for Interment in Drumboe Cemetery at 12 noon.

Francie Doherty, Burtonport

The death has occurred of Francie Doherty, Acres, Burtonport.

Mr Doherty passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at his home on Wednesday, November 13.

Beloved husband of Bridget and dear father of Mary Frances, Joanne, Louise, Paul and Francis.

Deeply regretted by his sons in laws Mike and Matthieu, daughters in law Francesca and Netsi, grandchildren Erin, Cian, Liam, Mia, Kara, Heather, Rianna, Eva, Oisín and James.

Sadly missed by his brothers James and John and sister Helena, his late sister Nollaig and brother Denis and by a wide extended family.

Pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Minnie Doherty.

His remains will repose at his home in Acres (F94V2C8) today, Thursday and Friday from 11am until Rosary at 8pm both nights.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Columba’s Church Burtonport with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.

House private please on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please with donations in lieu to palliative care c/o any family member or Mc Glynn Funeral Directors.

John Joe Carlin, Crossroads

The death has occurred of John Joe Carlin, Ballinacor, Crossroads.

Mr Carlin passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Hospital, Stranorlar on Wednesday, November 13.

Much loved brother of Mary B. Gallen, Joe and the late Kathleen Mc Glinchey (Ballybun), Celene Duggan (Falcarragh), Sadie Conway (Aveltygort) and Lena Carlin (Ballinacor).

Remains reposing at the family home.

Funeral from the family home on Friday, November 15 at 10.20 am for Requiem Mass at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon with interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Thomas McGinley, Milford

The death has taken place of Thomas McGinley, 236 Lower Mount Marian, Milford.

Mr McGinley passed away suddenly at Letterkenny General Hospital on Monday, November 11.

Predeceased by his father Francie.

Deeply regretted by his mother Teresa, sister Teresa, grandmother Philomena, uncle Jock, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, November 14 at 11am in St Peter’s Church, Milford. Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Rose MacBride, Mountcharles and Dublin

The death has occurred of Rose MacBride, Dublin and formerly Mountcharles.

Ms MacBride passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10 in the compassionate and dedicated care of the staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin with her devoted sisters Anne, Breege, Eibhlin (Tamblyn) and Kathleen Angela (Hurley) by her bedside.

Predeceased by her sister Mary Gallagher MacBride, her brother Tommy, brother-in-law Robert Gallagher, sister-in-law Peggy (nee Dockery) and her parents Maurice and Annie Maria Mac Bride.

Ms MacBride will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her nieces Alanna, Maura, Cróna, Eanya and Deirdre, her nephews Tommy Jnr. and Fergus, brothers-in-law Russ Tamblyn and Gerard Hurley, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family and friends.

Prior to Rose’s death she was lovingly cared for by the kind and considerate staff of Leeson Park Nursing Home, Dublin.

Removal from Fanagans Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Rd, Dublin (D6W N279)  at 9am on Thursday, November 14 to Gallagher Funeral Home, Station Rd, Mountcharles (F94 X02N), reposing from 6pm to 8pm and overnight in her family home.

Removal from the family home on Friday, November 15 for Requiem Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Family flowers only.

Marius Lynch, Clonmany/ Gweedore/ Glasgow

The death has occurred of Marius Lynch, Clonmany/ Gweedore/ Glasgow.

Mr Lynch passed away at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, November 12.

Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Celia, brothers Aloysius and Colm and sister Carmel.

Sadly missed by his daughters Marisa, Shauna and Carolanne, dear friend Pat Young, brothers Gerard, Martin and Terence, grandchildren Courtney, Chloe, Charlotte and Leah, son-in-law Conal Gallagher and extended family and friends.

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) at 2pm today, Wednesday to Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X).

His remains will repose at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 12pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg at 1pm on Friday, November 15, interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Isobel Gillespie, Castlefinn

The death has taken place of Isobel Gillespie (née Lindsay), Hollow Road, Castlefin.

Ms Gillespie passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday, November 12.

Beloved wife of the late Jim and much loved mother of Alan (Valerie) and Reg (Olive).

Cherished granny of Andrew and Zara.

The house and wake are strictly private to family only please at the request of the deceased.

A service of thanksgiving will be held in St Anne’s Church, Monellan on Thursday, November 14, at 2pm followed by burial in the family plot in St Patrick’s Church graveyard, Donaghmore.

Everyone is welcome to attend the service of thanksgiving and committal.

Margaret Ferry, Gweedore

The death has occurred of Margaret Ferry (née Mc Fadden), Carrick Mc Garvey, Gweedore.

Ms Ferry passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday, November 12.

Predeceased by her husband James, brothers Denis, Ned, Charlie, Paddy, Joe, Feilimí and Colm and sisters Máire and Kitty.

Sadly missed by her daughters Máire and Bríd, sons Seamus, Neil, Philip, Denis, Sean and Eamonn, brother Sean, sons-in-law Jack and Tony, daughters-in-law Kathleen, Gráinne, Noreen, Breidge, Geraldine and Bernadette, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at her home on Thursday from 11am to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm.

House private after Rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg at 11am on Friday, November 15, interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Colman O’Doherty, Dublin and Buncrana

The death has occurred of Colman O’Doherty, Dalkey, Co Dublin and formerly of Buncrana.

Mr O’Doherty passed away peacefully in the kind care of all the staff of the Newtownpark House Nursing Home on Monday, November 11.

Beloved husband of the late Pat, loving father of Sharon, John, Mark, and Colie. Sadly missed by his children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Gina, Leanne, Emma, Sarah, Sean, Laura and Maria, his sister Jill Tripp, extended family and his many friends. Remembering also his late brother Ronnie.

Removal Thursday, November 14 to the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey arriving for 10am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/dalkey followed by burial on Friday, November 15 in Templetown Cemetery at 2.15pm approx. following a short blessing in All Saints Church, Templetown at 2pm.

No flowers please.
