Patrick (Pat) Walsh, Bundoran and Ballintra

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Walsh, Finner Avenue, Bundoran and formerly Ballintra.

Mr Walsh passed away on Monday, September 16.

He is predeceased by his parents Paddy and Rose.

He is sadly missed by his siblings, Mick (Shell), Ann (Ralph R.I.P), Pauline and Sarah, his nieces and nephews, Darren, Siobhan, Aisling and Luke, extended family and friends.

Pat’s remains will arrive at St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra on this evening, Thursday, September 19 at 7.30pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am followed by cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2pm.

Jean Mc Elwee (née Doherty), 29 Ardnalee Park, Strabane and formerly of Drumenny, Burndennett

The death has taken place September 18th 2024 at her home of Jean Mc Elwee (née Doherty), 29 Ardnalee Park, Strabane and formerly of Drumenny, Burndennett.

Much loved mother of Paul, Peter, Nicola, Darren and Lynda, dearly loved grandmother of Adam, Hannah, Jack, Ella-Mae, Leah, Aimee and Sam, beloved daughter of the late Gretta and Sam Doherty and sister of Marie, Frances and Linda.

Reposing at her home on today, Thursday, September 19.

Funeral leaving her home on Friday, September 20 at 11.20a.m. for Requiem Mass in St Mary`s Church, Cloughcor at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters and family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.

Mary Sweeney (née McGroarty), Fanad

THE death has occurred of Mary Sweeney (née McGroarty), Cooladerry, Ballylar, Fanad.

Ms Sweeney passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 17.

Predeceased by her parents Johnny and Sally and by her brother Jim and sister Rose.

Deeply regretted by her husband Patrick, daughter Rose and son John.

Sadly missed by her sister Resa Sweeney, her nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Requiem Mass will take place today, Thursday, September 19 at 12pm in St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty, Fanad.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

The Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the Mc Ateer Funeral Directors Facebook page.

Rosemarie Burke, Manorcunningham

THE death has occurred of Rosemarie Burke, 36 Abbey Park, Manorcunningham.

Ms Burke passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, September 16.

Deeply missed by her loving partner Kevin, daughters Amylee and Rachel, her father Anthony, brothers David and Noel and sister Katie, Kathleen, D.J, Mark and Stephen, uncles, aunts, cousins and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Rosemarie is predeceased by her mother Bridget.

Requiem Mass will take place today, Thursday, September 19 at 11am in All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham with interment afterwards in St. Columba’s Church Cemetery, Drumoghill.

The death has taken place at The Donegal Hospice of Ann Boyle, Tullycleave, Ardara.

Predeceased by her husband Peter.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Martin, John (Melissa) and Peter (Louise) and her daughter Caroline(Winston).

Sadly missed by her grandchildren Chloe, Ava and Garry, brothers John and Vinney (RIP) sisters Mary and Bernie and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass will take place today, Thursday, September 19 at 11am in The Church Of The Holy Family, Ardara with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Higdon (née McDaid) 8 Binnion Avenue, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday, September 17 of Kathleen Higdon née McDaid, 8 Binnion Avenue, Letterkenny F92 CPX3.

Deeply missed by her loving daughters Eileen McCormack (Paul) and Shirley Duddy (Mick), son Mark (Trish), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Margaret Matthewson, Annie O’Brien and Angela Dorrian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Howard, parents Neil and Eileen McDaid, sister Bridie Gibson and brothers John and Neil.

Requiem Mass will take place today, Thursday, September 19 in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny with interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Bernard Dillon, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Bernard Dillon, Glenview, Ballyraine, Letterkenny.

Mr Dillon passed away peacefully, surrounded by his devoted family in the special care of the Donegal Hospice on Monday 16.

Deeply regretted and forever missed by his loving wife, Brid, son Ciarán (Jacqui), daughters, Bronagh and Sinead (Gráinne), granddaughter, Aoife (Graham), great-granddaughter, Fíadh, nieces, nephews and extended family, friends and neighbours.

Requiem Mass will take place today, Thursday, September 19 at 11am in St. Eunan’s Cathedral followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.
