Kaitlyn Louise Glackin, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Kaitlyn Louise Glackin, Aughlim, Donegal Town.

Kaitlyn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness bravely fought on Wednesday, March 4.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her devoted father Aidan; her sisters Clodagh and Niamh; her brother Tiernan; her cherished grandparents Gerard and Evelyn; her aunt Colette and partner Terence; her extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her late residence.

House strictly private please.

Funeral Mass in St Agatha’s Church, Clar, on Friday, March 6 at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Tommy McFadden, Falcarragh

The sudden and unexpected death has taken place at the Blackrock Clinic Dublin of Tommy Mc Fadden, Clonbara, Falcarragh.

Predeceased by his father Danny and father-in-law John. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, sons; Kevin (Francess), Ryan (Adele), daughter Adele, mother Mary Rose, mother-in-law Kitty, brothers; Danny (Grace) and Paul (Maureen), sister Madge, grandchildren; Callan, Odhrán, Cara, Eabha, Lennon and Bonnie, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

His remains will repose at his home (F92 A9F9) today from 2pm to 9pm and on Friday from 11am to 9pm. Rosary nightly at 9pm.

House private after Rosary and on the morning of the Funeral.

Tommy’s funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 7 at 1pm in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh, interment afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Sharon Keane, Redcastle

Sharon Keane, of Redcastle Donegal and formerly of Erinagh Beg, Fountain, Ennis, Clare, who passed away peacefully on March 2, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Michael.

Sadly missed by her beloved partner Engie, daughter Emma, sons Jack and Kian, brothers Michael and David, sister Maureen, sister in law Cathy, nieces and nephews, dear friends, neighbours and everyone who loved her.

Funeral Mass Friday, March 6 at 11am in St Tolas Church Dysart.

Burial after at Drumcliffe Cemetary.

All donations to Donegal Hospice.

Alan Murray, Kildare and Ballyshannon

The death has occured of Alan Murray late of Duncreevan, Kilcock, Kildare and formerly of the Mall, Ballyshannon.

Forever loved and missed by son Christopher and partner Catriona, parents Aidan and Jean, brothers and sisters Brian (Della), Anita (Brian), Val (Caroline), Jeanette (Colin), niece, nephews Lorna, Ciaran, Aidan and Niall and all his close friends. Alan is predeceased by Christopher’s mum Rachel Harper.

Remains will repose in Val and Caroline’s house, Killeen, Ballyshannon, F94 X276 today from 4pm to 8pm with house private at all other times.

A one way traffic system will be in operation for the wake, entrance off the Belleek/Ballyshannon road onto the Killeen road and exit via Station road.

Remains will arrive in St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon on Friday for 12 noon requiem Mass followed by interment in the Abbey, Assaroe Cemetery.

Kathleen (Kate) Meehan, Mullinasole and Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Kathleen (Kate) Meehan, Aras Mhic Shuibhne, Mullinasole and formerly of Duignan Ave, Donegal Town.

Ms Meehan passed away peacefully under the exceptional care of staff at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Catherine and Christy, her siblings Mary (Seamus), Patsy (Reo), Hughie (Madge), Eugene, Chris, Michael, Betty (Denis) and Grainne.

Sadly missed by her sister Anne (Mick) Athenry, her sisters in law Marie, Dundalk and Peg, New York, her brother-in-law, Brian, her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Especially missed by her dear friends and staff at Aras Mhic Shuibhne, who cared for Kate with tender love and kindness and the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa with whom Kate (Sr Anthony Mary) spent many happy years caring for those less fortunate in Zambia and the USA.

Kate’s remains will repose at Tir Conaill Funeral Home, Donegal Town F94 FX3A today from 2pm to 7pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 6 in St Mary’s Church, Killymard at 11am with burial taking place afterwards at Clar graveyard.

Paula Sweeney, Dungloe

The death has occurred of Paula Sweeney (née O’Donnell), Chapel Road, Dungloeand formerly of Killybegs.

Ms Sweeney passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 2.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, parents Ann and Paidin O’Donnell and baby brother John Patrick.

Sadly missed by her sons, Jamie (Maighread) and Paul (Maria), her two loving grandchildren Aoife and Patrick, her five sisters; Mary (Jim), Sara (Eunan), Patrice (Martin), Maeve (Francie), and Martina (Paddy), nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass today at 12pm at St Cronas Church, Dungloe with burial afterwards in Maghery cemetery.

Daniel McCarthy, Maynooth and Bundoran

Daniel McCarthy, Laurence Avenue, Maynooth and formerly of Bundoran, Co Donegal, Newbridge, Co Kildare, died peacefully at The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his loving wife Mary, parents Paddy and Mary, brothers Padraig and Declan and sister Kathleen.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Ronan, Lorna and Donal, friend Pat, daughters-in-law Sam, Aline, Suzie and Mary, son-in-law Paul, adored grandchildren Jodie, Abi, Louis and Sophie, brothers Luke, Gerard, Paul and Mark, sisters Gaye, Betty and Mary, Aunt Monica, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Danny was the much-loved Lead Singer with Fiddlers Green and will be fondly remembered for his music, voice and friendship by all who knew him.

Removal from Oliver Reilly’s Funeral Home, Leinster St, Maynooth (W23V99E) this morning at approximately 10.30am to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Maynooth for 11am funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium at approximately 1pm.
