The death occurred at the Donegal Hospice of George Doherty (G), Molly’s Brae, Churchtown, Carndonagh.
Predeceased by his wife Mary Margaret and his son Paul and much-loved father of Michael, Kevin, Deirdre and Karen.
Deeply regretted by his sisters, brothers, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
His remains will be reposing at his home from 3pm today where all are welcome to pay their respects.
Removal from there on Saturday at 10.30am going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carndonagh for 11am requiem Mass followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Des Kavanagh,Roslin, Taylor’s Hill, Galway City, and formerly of Clonmany.
Des died peacefully surrounded by those he loved in the late hours of Monday, January 19.
Deeply mourned by his wife, Mary and sons, Ronan and Conal. He will always be fondly remembered also by his daughters-in-law, Liz and Laura, and by his grandchildren, Anna, Tom, Eve, Ryan, Callum and Charlie, by his much-loved brother and sister, Fidelma (USA) and Terence (USA), brother-in-law, John, nephews and nieces, former colleagues, relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his precious and beloved son, Rory and his older sister, Maeve and husband Billy, and sister-in-law, Mary Jane.
Des will lie in repose at the family home on Taylors Hill (‘Roslin’ H91NX6F) from 5.30pm to 8pm.
On Friday, requiem Mass will be celebrated for Des on arrival at St Joseph’s Parish Church (H91 YA30), Presentation Road at 11am.
Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with his beloved son, Rory in Rahoon Cemetery.

The peaceful death has taken place at Faithfull House Care Home, Cheltenham, England of Audrey Stevens née Coyle, formerly of Cornagill and High Road, Letterkenny.
Deeply missed by daughters Danielle and Siobhan, son Paul, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family and friends.
Audrey is predeceased by sisters Phyllis, Carrie and Avery and brothers Cyril, Hillary and Fenton.
Audrey will be reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny F92 XE35 today from 6pm until 8pm.

Brigid (Bridgeen) passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of St Joseph’s Nursing Home, Virginia Co Cavan at the age of 90 after a long and full life.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Tony, her parents Christopher and Mary, her brother Fr Micheál and her sister Evelyn.
She is mourned by her son Tony (Shrewsbury), daughter-in-law Fliss and grandchildren Jess and Rosa.

The tragic death has taken place at her home of Helen McLoughlin, South Lome Place, Edinburgh on September 22, 2025.
Helen was the daughter of the late Patrick and Kathleen McLoughlin. Her loss is deeply regretted by her brothers, Enda and Donal, relatives and friends.
She will be missed terribly by those who knew her, may her gentle soul rest in peace.
The scattering of Helen’s ashes will take place at Dowie’s Mill Lane, Cramond Bridge, Edinburgh at 11am on Saturday, January 24 to which family and friends are invited.
