Frank (Frankie) Blaney, Dublin and Letterkenny

Frank (Frankie) Blaney of Kill o’ the Grange, Dublin and formerly Wolfe Tone Place, Letterkenny.

He passed, peacefully, on February 24, in the care of all the staff at St Vincent’s University Hospital, after excellent care at Belmont Nursing Home.

Beloved husband of Marian and devoted father of Helen, Suzanne, Denise, Frankie, Marian, Patrick and Seán.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren John, Blaney, Joseph and Iveagh, his sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday, March 1 from 3pm to 5pm.

Funeral on Monday, March 2 in the Church of the Holy Family, Kill Avenue arriving at 10.45am for an 11am Mass followed by private cremation.

Patricia McGarvey, Ramelton

The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Patricia Mc Garvey (née Gallagher), White Leas, Ramelton, F92 W2W8.

Sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters, Edward (Annette), Nichola (Leon), Kieran (Amanda), Daryl (Shauna), Bróna (Brendan), Niamhann (Paul) and Ursula, grandchildren, sisters Pauline and Margaret, brothers Patsy and Edward, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Dan, son Kevin, brother Jock and parents Margaret and John.

Reposing at her home today from 10am until 10pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday, February 27 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen McKeague, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Kathleen McKeague, 1 Ashlawn, Letterkenny and formerly of Torr Head, Co Antrim.

Ms McKeague passed away on Tuesday, February 24.

Predeceased, by her parents James and Mary and brothers Gerry, John, Patrick, Seamus and Cornelius.

Sadly, missed by her brother Alex (Rathdowney), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

The family are deeply grateful to the dedicated carers for their care, compassion and support.

Requiem Mass today at 1pm in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine.

Following Mass, burial will take place in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Joseph Chambers, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Joseph Chambers, 20 O’Cleirigh Ave, Donegal Town peacefully in Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Philomena, son’s Paul(Christine) Barry(Caroline), daughter Gillian(Darren), grandchildren, nieces nephews neighbours friends and extended family.

Requiem Mass this morning at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Killymard with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining graveyard.

Paddy Deeney, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place at his home on Tuesday,  February 24 of Paddy Deeney, Dromore, Letterkenny F92 WFA4.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Maíread, daughters Margaret Ann and Maureen (Mark), son Charlie (Fiona), grandchildren Charlie, Meara, Rylee and Hannah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Paddy is predeceased by his brothers and sisters James, Joe, John, Kathleen, Mollie and Una.

Funeral from his home this morning at 10.15am going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny for 11am requiem Mass.

Interment afterwards in St Columba’s Church Cemetery, Drumoghill F92 DX31.

Enda Drummond, Ballyshannon

The sudden death has occurred of Enda Drummond, Finner, Ballyshannon. Peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

Predeceased by his loving parents Eddie and Philippine. Sadly missed by his brother Kieran (Frances) and sister Frances (John), his nephew Eugene (Louise) and his nieces Sarah (Shane) and Eve and his godson Adam and all extended family and friends.

Tony Foy, Raphoe

The death has taken place of Tony Foy, Raphoe, formerly of Bannow Road Cabra Dublin 7.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Julia, brother Bernard.

Tony will be very sadly missed by his brothers, Joe, Gerry, John, Edward and Philip, sister Sally, sisters-in-law Theresa, Sheila, Angela, Beverly, Meena and Anne, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Lanigans Funeral Home, Faussagh Avenue, Cabra on Friday, February 27 from 2pm to 4pm.

Removal on Saturday morning, February 28 to the Church of the Most Precious Blood, Cabra arriving for 10.15am Mass, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium at 12.30.

Mary McDaid (née Gallagher), Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Mary McDaid (née Gallagher) of 10 Swilly Park, Ashlawn, Letterkenny, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at the Donegal Hospice.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, Pat, Noreen, Brendan (Claire) and JR, grandchildren, sisters Roisín (Calgary), Brigid (Philadelphia) and Ann (Glebe), brothers Brian (Cabra) and Eamonn (Trimragh), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband James and her parents Nora and Packie.

Requiem Mass this morning at 11am in St Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan.

Burial afterwards in Templedouglas Cemetery.

Rita Kane, Carrick and Blackrock, Co Dublin

The death has occurred of Rita Kane, Carrick, Derrybeg and formerly of Blackrock, Co Dublin, Arklow, Co Wicklow and Kenmare, Co Kerry.

Ms Kane passed away peacefully in the care of the staff at Áras Ghaoth Dobhair Nursing Home, Letterkenny on Sunday, February 22.

Predeceased by her husband Michael Kane.

Sadly missed by her daughters; Brenda, Sheila and Eileen, sons; Michael, John, Brian and Ronan, extended family and friends.

Reposing in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28) today from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Friday, February 27 in St Patrick’s Church, Curtlestown, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Michael Curran, Loughanure and Falcarragh

The death has occurred of Michael Curran, 14 A Loughanure and formerly of Ballintemple, Falcarragh.

Mr Curran passed away suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, February 22.

Survived by his wife Margaret, children Michael Joseph and Niamh, his parents Daniel and Sarah his brothers Danny Óg (Sandra), John (Janet), Bryan (Hilary) and his sisters Cáit (Mark) and Maire, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Funeral Mass will be held this morning at 11am in the Star of the Sea Church, Annagry with burial afterwards in the new graveyard.

John Holmes, Ballybofey

The death has occurred at Brentwood Manor Nursing Home, Convoy of John Holmes, Meencarriagh, Ballybofey, formerly Drumboe, Stranorlar.

Beloved husband of the late Ruby. Predeceased by his father and mother Charlie and Bella, and his sisters Charolotte Long and Margaret Dorrian.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his sister in law Katie Harron, brothers in law Charlie Long and J.J. Dorrian, his nephews, nieces, extended family, ex work colleagues and many friends.

Funeral leaving from there today at 10.30am for requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar.

Interment in Drumboe cemetery.

Rita Kane (née Byrne), Derrybeg

The peaceful death has taken place of Rita Kane (née Byrne) of Carrick, Derrybeg, and formerly of Blackrock, Dublin, Arklow, Wicklow and Kenmare, Kerry, in the care of the staff at Áras Ghaoth Dobhair Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Michael Kane.

Rosie Woods, Louth and Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Rosie Woods (née Byrne), Coventry, England and formerly of Drumgoolestown, Stabannon, Co Louth and Ballybofey.

Ms Woods passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8.

Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Bridget and brother, Pat.

Rosie will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, Robert, daughter, Laura and sons, Steven, Paul and George, son-in-law, Ryan and daughters-in-law, Sarah, Kelly and Emma, brothers, Tommy and Harry, adored grandchildren and great-grandson, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends in England, Stabannon and Donegal.

Rosie’s funeral will take place in Coventry on Thursday, March 5.
