Willie O’Connor, Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Willie O’Connor, Malin Road, Carndonagh.

Mr O’Connor passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice, in his 101st year, on Wednesday, December 18.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Annie, his daughter Rose and his infant child Mary.
Much loved father of Shaun (Margaret), Pat (Kathleen), Liam (Ann), Noel (Anna), Anthony (Kathryn) and Michael (Ann).

Deeply regretted by his sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Removal from Kelly’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh at 12pm today, Thursday going to his son Michael’s residence, Malin Road.

Removal from there tomorrow evening, Friday at 5:30pm going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh to repose overnight.

Funeral mass on Saturday morning at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Nazareth House or Donegal Hospice, c/o any family member or Kelly’s Funeral Directors.

Maureen Quinn, Frosses

The death has occurred of Maureen Quinn, Ballybrillaghan, Frosses.

Ms Quinn passed away peacefully at Aras Mhic Suibhne Nursing home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 18.

Maureen is survived by her sisters Bernadette Gallagher (Danny) and Kathleen Mc Hugh, Mullinbuoys (Terence), sister in law Michelle, Niece, nephews and grandnephew.

She is predeceased by her parents Eddie and Mary and her brothers Eamonn and Harry.

Remains will be reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (F94 X02N) on Thursday, December 19, from 4pm until 8pm.

Removal from there on Friday, December 20, going to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses for 12 noon funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Teresa Gallagher, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Teresa Gallagher (née Muldoon), Ardeskin Heights, Donegal Town.

Ms Gallagher passed away peacefully at Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 18.

Much loved wife of Gerry Gallagher (deceased 2018), mother of baby Mary Joe (deceased).

Sadly missed by her brother Seamus and sister Annette (Dunphy) and all her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brothers, Frank, Fr Paddy, Fr Leo, Sean and Eamon and by her sister Mary (Boyle).

Reposing at Tir Conaill Funeral Home (F94 FX3A) on Thursday, December 19, from 3pm to 6pm.

Removal from there to St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town for 7.15 pm.

Funeral mass at 11am Friday, December 20, followed by burial in Killymard Cemetery.

Rita (Margaret) Quinn, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Rita (Margaret) Quinn (née Mc Monagle), 3 Bracken Lea, Letterkenny.

Ms Quinn passed away on Tuesday, December 10.

Predeceased by her husband Pat, their son Peter, her sister Julie and brothers Jim and Eddie.

She is survived by her daughters Margo, Nicola, Helena, and Angela, her son in law Nana, and her granddaughters Clodagh, and Eibhlin.

Rita’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, December 20, at 11am in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny.

Burial afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.

The wake is Strictly Private at Rita’s request, as is the house on the morning of the funeral,

Dinny McLaughlin, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Dinny McLaughlin, Shandrum, Drumfries, Buncrana.

Mr McLaughlin passed away on Tuesday, December 17.

Dinny is predeceased by his parents James and Mary, his brother Pat, sisters Katie and Mary RIP.

Dinny will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving sisters Annie and Bridget, his nephews and nieces, grand-nephews / nieces, cousins, neighbours and his family from his music circle.

Remains reposing at his late residence.

Funeral from there on Friday, December 20, leaving at 10am for 11 am requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Tessie McLaughlin, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Tessie McLaughlin (née McDaid), Luddan, Buncrana.

Ms McLaughlin passed away in Beach Hill Manor, Nursing Home, Lisfannon on Monday, December 16.

Wife of the late John and dear mother of Geraldine (Noel), Carl (Katrina) and Paul (Janette), grandmother of Ciara, Darragh, Adam, Tom and Gary and wee Steven RIP, great-grandson Eoghan, sister of Pader (McDaid) and Margaret (White) predeceased by her siblings Mary, Sarah, Rose Ellen, Bridget, Annie, Michael and James.

Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family circle and friends.

Funeral from there on Thursday, December 19 at 9.15 am going to St Mary’s Oratory Buncrana for 10 am requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Cockhill cemetery.

Wake strictly private to family and close Friends only at the request of the deceased.

No flowers or mass cards all donations to Donegal hospice c/o any family member.

Tom Cassidy, Bundoran and Westmeath

The death has occurred of Tom Cassidy, 29 Gaelic Park, Bundoran and formerly of Rathowen, Westmeath.

Mr Cassidy passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady’s Hospital, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen and grandfather of the late Jennifer (Boland).

Tom will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family, his sons Mel (Martina), Thomas (Deirdre), James (Lorraine), daughters Doris, Eilish, Patricia (Liam), Siobhan (Eamon) and Deirdre (Micheal), his adored 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and all his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Breslin’s Funeral Home, West End, Bundoran F94E92F on Thursday evening, December 19 from 4pm to 7pm, all welcome.

Removal on Friday morning, December 20 from his late residence at Gaelic Park Drive, Bundoran at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am.

Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran for burial service.

Janet Barriscale, St Johnston

The death has occurred of Janet Barriscale (née Wagstaff), Magheracloy, St Johnston and formerly of Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Ms Barriscale passed away on Monday, December 16.

Beloved wife of the late Tod, much loved mother of Guy, mother-in-law of Patricia and dearly loved grandmother of Jude and Órlaith.

Funeral leaving the funeral home on Thursday, December 19 at 9.45am for private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son, daughter-in-law, granddaughters and family circle.

Peadar Quinn, Fintown

The death has occurred of Peadar Quinn, Beaghmore, Fintown.

Mr Quinn passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, December 15.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, daughter Fiona (Darren), son Rory (Ellie), grandchildren Conor and Oisín, brother John (Ardara), Patsy (Donegal), Anne (Galway), Marjorie (U.S.A) and Mary (Laghey), sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass in St. Colmcille’s Chapel, Fintown, at 11 am on Thursday, December 19, with burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

 Patrick Pearse Kelly, Drumkeen

The death has occurred of Patrick Pearse Kelly, 17 St Bridget’s Crescent, Drumkeen.

Mr Kelly passed away in Brentwood Manor Nursing Home on Monday, December 16.

Pearse will be lovingly missed by his sons Douglas (Roseanne), Pearse Jnr and Robert, his grandchildren Jessica, Riannon, Douglas, Pádraig, Lúcás, Fionnuala, Oisín, Fíachra, Leah and Aoibhín, his brothers Tom, Michael and Chris (Aberdeen) and sister Margaret Bonner, his nieces, nephews and all his extended family and friends.

Pearse was predeceased by his wife Jean, son Jeremiah, his parents, brothers and sisters may they all rest in peace.

Funeral from his late residence, on Thursday morning at 10.30am going to St Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen for 11 o’clock Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

 Fr P.J. Brady, Kerry/Donegal/Meath/Westmeath

The death has occurred of Fr P.J. Brady, Station House, Ballintra, Co Donegal.

Fr Brady, who is a former staff member of the Agricultural College, Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath, passed away peacefully after a long illness at Fatima Home, Tralee on Monday, December 16.

Beloved son of the late Patrick and Margaret and much loved brother of Hugh, Eugene, Mary Teresa Roper, Michael, Phelim, Breege, Margaret Doran, Gerard, Gabrielle McDevitt and the late Pauline.

Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, the Franciscan Community, Killarney and the Friars of the Irish Franciscan Province.

Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining Friary graveyard.

 Henry Bradley, Crossroads and Killygordon

The death has taken place of Henry Bradley, Gleneely, Crossroads and formerly of Killygordon.

Mr Bradley passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, December 16.

Beloved husband of Mary, much loved father of Marie (late Ken), Harry (Margaret), Michael (Valerie), Ann (Bryan), Kathleen and Brendan (Rachel), loving granda of Ryan, Níamh, Éoin, Charlotte, Jack, Jessica and Maxine, dearest brother of Mary and the late John, Maggie, Ellen, Michael and Seamus.

Funeral from the family home on Thursday, December 19 at 10.30 am for Requiem Mass at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Mary (May) Josephine Kelly, Killygordon

The death has occurred of Mary (May) Josephine Kelly (née Moss) Killygordon, Donegal.

The death has occurred of Mary (May) Josephine Kelly (née Moss), Barnes, London. Formerly of Cronalaughey, Killygordon, Donegal, December 13.

Beloved daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ellen Moss.

May will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken daughters Mary (Martin), Jacqueline, Rachel (Nigel), and Patricia, brothers Hugh (Margaret) and Michael (Patricia), sisters Phylis, Betty (Philip), Fidelma (Paddy), Brigid, Geraldine (Gez) and Ted, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Predeceased by her brother, Patrick Moss (London).
