Ernie Steele, Manorcunningham

The death has occurred of Ernie Steele, Galdonagh, Manorcunningham.

Mr Steele passed away peacefully at Brindley Manor Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 11.

Beloved husband of Margaret, much loved father of Julian (Donna), Gwendoline (the late Stanley), Alison (Paul) and Lindsey (Gavin).

He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and wider family circle.

His remains will repose at his late residence.

House private please to immediate family only.

All are welcome to attend a Service of Thanksgiving at his home on on Friday, December 13, at 2.45pm followed by burial in Newtowncunningham Presbyterian Churchyard.

Family flowers only please donations in lieu to Brindley Manor Nursing Home care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Timothy (Tim) Ryan, Trentagh

The death has occurred of Timothy Ryan, Trentagh, Letterkenny.

Mr Ryan passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 10.

Predeceased by his wife Angela and brother Peter.

Deeply missed by his family, incredible dad to Tony and Emily.

Tim is survived by many loved ones including Julia (granddaughter), daughter-in-law Aphria, Avril (mother of Emily and partner), Janet (niece) and seven brothers (Jim, Hugh, Pat, Terry ,Chris, Mike and Joe) and sister (Marg), as well as many cherished friends and extended family.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) on Thursday, December 12 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, where you are most welcome to pay your respects, concluding with removal to St.Eunans Cathedral for Reception Prayers at 6pm.

Reposing overnight for 11am Requiem Mass on Friday, December 13, which can be viewed live on the link www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by family only private cremation.

Family residence at Trentagh is private to family only.

Mary McGarry, Falcarragh

The death has occurred of Mary McGarry, Derryreel, Falcarragh.

Ms McGarry passed away at the Falcarragh Community Hospital on Tuesday, December 10.

Predeceased by her husband John, father Michael, mother Mary, brothers Barney and Charlie and sisters Kate and Nora.

Sadly missed by her sisters Sheila and Nellie, and brothers Paddy and Michael, her in-laws Myra, Margaret Gallagher and Michael Ferry.

Her remains are reposing at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Ballyboes, Falcarragh F92 RW32 on Thursday, December 12 from 11am to 1.30pm with removal to St. Finian’s Church, Falcarragh at 1.30 pm on Thursday, December 12 for 2pm Funeral Mass with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Josephine McBride, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Josephine McBride, Cappry, Donegal Road, Ballybofey.

Ms McBride passed away at Archview Lodge Nursing Home in Letterkenny on Wednesday, December 11.

Beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Marcel, Joanne and Don, cherished sister of the late Kathleen, Phonsie and Tommy.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughter, grandchildren, nephew, extended family and very many friends.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey, on Thursday, December12 and Friday, December 13 from 5pm until rosary at 9pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, December 14 at 10.10 am, via Cappry for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.

Interment in St. Mary’s churchyard, Sessiaghoneill.

John Flood, Pettigo

The death has occurred of John Flood, Pettigo and formerly of Floods Hotel, Pettigo and London.

Mr Flood passed away peacefully at the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 10.

Beloved son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth Flood, much loved brother of Mona (Flood), PJ (Flood), Betty (Colton), Vera (Smith), Josephine (Kilkenny), Joan (Flood), Rosaleen (Roohan) and the late Frankie (Downing).

John will be reposing at his sister Betty Colton’s residence, eircode F94 Y165 on Thursday, December 12 from 2pm to 9pm, with removal on Friday morning at 10.15am arriving at Saint Mary’s Church, Pettigo for 11am Requiem Mass followed by Cremation.

Funeral Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam (St Mary’s Church Pettigo).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sorrowing brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and entire family circle.

Jimmy Begley, Milford

The death has occurred of Jimmy Begley, Glenalla, Milford.

Mr Begley passed away peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday, December 10.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sister-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his brothers Willie and Neil and his sister Frances.

Reposing at the residence of his sister-in-law Mary Begley, Glenalla, Milford, F92 Y803.

Funeral Mass on Friday, December 13 at 11am in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan with burial afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery.

Jacquline Hannigan, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Jacquline Hannigan (née Ryan), Corgary, Ballybofey.

Ms Hannigan passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 9.

Beloved wife of Martin and much loved mother of Aishling (Marc), Shea and the late Rosaleen, cherished daughter of John and Brenda, adored sister of Caroline, and Lorraine, dearly loved grandmother to Jamie, Millie and Layla.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her husband, father, mother, son, daughter, sisters, son-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and very many friends.

Funeral leaving her late residence on Thursday, December 12 at 10.15am for Requiem Mass in St.Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill at 11am.

Interment in Drumboe cemetery.

Elma Duncan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Elma Duncan (née Stevenson), Aughliard, Letterkenny.

Ms Duncan passed away at University Hospital Galway on Monday, December 9.

Deeply missed by her loving daughters Adeline Doherty, Patricia Diver and Jacqueline Duncan, son John, daughter-in-law Annette, sons-in-law James Doherty, Lexi Diver, Eddie Ateef, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, brother Henderson Stevenson, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Elma is predeceased by her husband John (2021), sisters Adeline McKnight and Margaret Parke and brother Roy Stevenson.

Elma’s remains will repose at her late residence on Thursday, December 12 from 12 noon until 10pm.

Funeral from there on Friday, December 13 at 12.15pm going to Ray Presbyterian Church, Manorcunningham for Funeral Service of Thanksgiving at 1pm.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Ewen Campbell, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Ewen Campbell, Englewood, New Jersey and formerly Beechwood Avenue, Letterkenny.

Mr Campbell passed away suddenly on December 6.

Predeceased by his mother Bernie Campbell (Letterkenny).

Deeply missed by his father John Campbell (New Jersey), brothers Garrick (New Jersey) and Scott (Brisbane), sister Colette Balaam (New Jersey), brother-in-law Martin (New Jersey), sister-in-law Kelli (Brisbane), nieces Lucy, Sophie and Darcie, nephew Paxton, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Kugler Funeral Home, 311 Fifth Street, Saddle Brook, New Jersey 07663.

Funeral services and visiting hours for family and friends will be on Friday, December 13, with viewing from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm local time at Kugler Funeral Home.

Cremation will be private to family members and close friends only.

The death has occurred of Eugene (Dodger) Gamble, Sessiagh, Castlefinn.

Mr Gamble passed away at his home on Saturday, December 7.

Much loved father of Kyle (Laura) and Katie, dearly loved grandfather of Cormac, beloved son of the late Kathleen and Michael Gamble and cherished brother of John (Anita) , Anne (Stephen), Michael (Caroline) and Kieran (Carmel).

Funeral leaving his home on Thursday, December 12 at 11.25am for Requiem Mass in St Mary`s Church, Castlefinn at 12 noon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing son, daughter, grandson, brothers, sister and family circle.
