Margro McConnell, Belfast and Manorcunningham

The death has occurred of Margro McConnell Marlborough Crescent, Carryduff, Belfast and formerly of Manorcunningham.

Ms McConnell passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Monday, May 5.

Deeply missed by her loving sister Frances and husband William Harris, Coachmills, Letterkenny, her adoring nieces and nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Margro is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Anna, and her brother Fred.

Margro’s remains will arrive at Ray Presbyterian Church Graveyard, Manorcunningham, for burial on Thursday, May 8 at 3 pm.

Funeral Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Margro will take place at 12 noon on Friday, May 9, at Carryduff Presbyterian Church, Belfast, BT8 8DT.

Family flowers only, please.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.

Myra Friel, Lifford 

The death has taken place at her home of Myra Friel (née Connolly), Rossgier, Lifford.
Beloved wife of Charlie, much loved mother of Bernie, Gerard, Martin, Margaret, Tony, Derek, Roisin, Mary, Michael, Audrey, Enda, Shirley, Garrett and the late Leonard and sister of John, Becky and the late Eddie, Martha, Andrew, Frankie and Martin.
Reposing at her home on Thursday, May 8 from 12 noon.
Funeral leaving her home on Saturday, May 10 at 11.45am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 12.30pm.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, sons, daughters, twenty grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, brother, sister and family circle.
Family time please from 10p.m. to 11a.m.

Bernadette Anderson, Letterkenny and Killygordon

The sudden death has occurred at her late residence of Bernadette Anderson, 7A Amalfi Court, Letterkenny, formerly Ardnaganna, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Much loved daughter of Philomena and the late P.J., devoted sister of Sevanna, Geraldine, Fiona, Alan and Paul.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her mother, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, brothers in law, sisters in law, extended family and very many friends.

Reposing at the home of her sister Fiona at Carnadore, Castlefinn from 6pm on Thursday, May 8.

Funeral from there on Saturday May 10th at 10.20am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Mary McNelis, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Mary McNelis, Cashelard, Ballyshannon and formerly of Ardara.

Ms McNelis passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional and gentle care of all her wonderful carers on Wednesday, May 7.

Remains will arrive in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon on Saturday for 11am Funeral Mass followed by interment in St. Mary’s cemetery, Cashelard.

Family flowers only please; donations in lieu, if desired, to the North West Hospice Sligo c/o any family or Peter Carty Funeral Director. House strictly private please.

Mary was beloved mother of Herman (Sen), cherished grandmother of Nollaig (Clay), Aoife, Herman Jnr (Liz), and Sorcha (Eugene).

Mary will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, her adored great-grandchildren, Kathy and extended family, her dear godson, kind neighbours and very dear friends. Mary is predeceased by her daughter -in-law Mary J.McNelis who died recently.

James McGarvey, Bunbeg

The death has occurred of James McGarvey, Magheralosk, Bunbeg.

Mr McGarvey passed away in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 4.

Predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Mary McGarvey, brother Owenie, grandson Seamus Owen, aunts and uncles, including Mary McGeady and Charlie McGarvey.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Rita, son James Anthony (Amanda), daughter Marie Clare (Ryan) and son John Paul (Karen), and his beloved grandchildren, Niamh, Charlie, Liam, Cliona and Lucia, his sister Marion (McGinley), nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Removal to Christ the King Church on Friday, May 9 for Mass at 6.30pm.

In Gweedore, James will repose in Roarty’s Funeral Home Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) between 5pm and 8pm on Saturday, May 10, with the Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, on Sunday, May 11 at 1pm followed by interment in Magheragallen cemetery.

William known as Bill Mc Cauley, Doneyloop

The death has occurred of William (Bill) Mc Cauley, Magherycallaghan, Doneyloop.

Mr Mc Cauley passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday, May 7.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret, sons William, David, Stanley and daughter Lorraine, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, daughters in law and son in law.

Funeral from his late home on Friday, May 9 at 1.15 pm for 2 pm Service of Thanksgiving in Donoughmore Presbyterian Church with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Mary Clare O’Donnell, Portnoo

The death has occurred of Mary Clare O’Donnell, Clogher, Portnoo.

Ms O’Donnell passed away peacefully in the loving care of the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, May 6.

Predeceased by her parents James and Elizabeth and brothers Liam, Fred, Finbar and Charlie.

Sadly missed by her brothers Peadar (Sligo) and Eugene Anthony (London), her sisters in law, nephews, nieces and all her relatives’ neighbours and friends.

Removal from there on Thursday at 12 noon to St Conal’s Church, Kilclooney for 12.30pm Requiem Mass with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Liam Kelly, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Liam Kelly, The Mullins, Donegal Town.

Mr Kelly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 6.

Sadly missed by his brothers Sean, Martin (Ann), sisters Anne (Ivan), Geraldine (Noel), nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and Roisin.

Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church Killymard at 11am on Thursday, May 8 with burial immediately afterwards in The Old Abbey Cemetery.

Family flowers only donations if so desired to The Donegal Hospice care of any family member or Faulkner Funeral Directors.

Michael (Mick) O’Dowd, Bunbeg and Sligo

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) O’Dowd, Bunbeg and formerly of Ballisodare, Sligo.

Mr O’Dowd passed away in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 4.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Marie.

Sadly missed by his daughters; Clodagh (Chris), Loretta (Geoff) and Sarah Jayne (Colin), son; Marcus (Jacinta) grandchildren; Amy-Leigh, Ryan, Callum, Liam, Comhghal, Kian, Tyler, Brían, Cathal and Farrah and extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, May 8, at 1pm in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Dunlewey (F92 N668) with interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery, Gweedore.

Jack Gallagher, Dublin and Creeslough

The death has occurred of Jack Gallagher, Dundrum, Dublin and Creeslough.

Mr Gallagher passed away peacefully after a long illness with his family by his side on Saturday, May 3.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Pam.

He will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his children Jill, Nigel (Nog), Andrew (Jack) and Lynn, their partners Damian, Jane, Sam and Conor, his cherished grandchildren Tara, Kalen, Leah, Faye, Tess, Natty, Elsie, Alex, Max, Tom and Rúben, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, especially Mabel and his long standing friends in Rathfarnham Golf Club and Old Wesley Rugby Club.

Bernard Keyes, Falcarragh and London

The death has occurred of Bernard Keyes, Ickenham, London and formerly of Falcarragh.

Mr Keyes passed away suddenly at his home in Ickenham on Sunday, April 27.

He is predeceased by his parents Johnny and Kathleen Keyes.

Brendan will be sadly missed by his loving wife Celia, sons Damian and Chris, daughter Amanda, daughters in-law Jeanette and Gemma, son in-law Steve and all his adoring grandchildren, his brother John, sisters Ann, Kathleen, Pat and Mary, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral Mass will be held at St Bernadette’s Church in Hillingdon on Thursday, May 15 at 11am.
