The death has occurred of Lily O’Sullivan, 61 Ballina, Falcarragh and formerly of Derry.

Ms O’Sullivan passed away peacefully in Falcarragh Community Hospital on Wednesday, July 2.

Survived by her loving husband James, and two daughters Maureen and Loretta.

Remains will be reposing at her late residence in Ballina, Falcarragh, F92 E7P0, with rosary at 9pm.

Family time after the rosary until 11am the following morning.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, July 4 at 12pm in Teach Phobail Naomh Fionán, Falcarragh Church F92 N6Y9, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Falcarragh Community Hospital, c/o any family member or Carton Funeral Directors.

Des McGinley, Milford

The death has occurred of Des McGinley, Main Street, Milford.

Mr McGinley passed away peacefully in the dedicated care of the staff of Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home, Milford on Wednesday, July 2.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Peggie, sons and daughters-in-law, Damian, Edmund (Barbara, RIP), Michael (Mary), Peter, Fergus (Mary), grandchildren, Meadhbh, Niall, Odhrán, Fergal, Ciara, Ross, Enda, Anna, Isabel and Daithí, great-grandson, Khaled, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Cathleen, May, John, Joe and Gerard.

Reposing at his home today, Thursday, July 3, from 5pm until 10pm and tomorrow, Friday, July 4, from 12 noon until 10pm.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, July 5 at 10am in St Peter’s Church, Milford.

Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Deirdre (Dee) O’Connell, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Deirdre (Dee) O’Connell, The Abbey Lane, Ballyshannon.

Ms O’Connell passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her caring family on Tuesday, July 1.

Predeceased by her loving husband P.J., Dee will be remembered by her sons Paul, Liam, Pádraic and Feargal, daughters-in-law Erna, Sharon, Maaike and Liesl. Much loved by her grandchildren Joe, Tasya, Kate, Maya, Niamh, Peter, Aoife, Caolán, Molly and Finn.

She will be sadly missed by her sister Breda and her brother Tom, sisters in law Angela and Joan and brother-in-law Francis.

Reposing at her residence today from 4pm to 7pm.

House private at all other times.

Removal from her residence on Friday at 10:30am to arrive at St Patricks Church, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with interment in the Abbey Assaroe Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Northwest Hospice, The Mall, Sligo, c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon or any family member.

Catherine McGinley, Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of Catherine McGinley (née Gillespie), Faugher, Glencolmcille.

Ms McGinley passed away peacefully at 99-years-old in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 1.

Predeceased by her husband John Teague, son Paul, sisters Ellie, Maryand Rose; brothers John, Con and Eddie.

Sadly missed by her loving family, John (Liz), Marie, Sadie, Kathleen, Bríd, Joe, Michael (Maura), Jamie, (Anna), Connie (Noreen), Evelyn and Annie; her sisters Bridget (Kerr) Rathmullan, and Annie and Lucy USA; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her late residence, Faugher, Glencolmcille (F94WF93) on Thursday, July 3 from 2pm until Holy Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday, July 4 at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sr Magdalene Moore, Donegal Town, Ballyshannon and Galway

The death has occurred of Sister Magdalene Moore, Convent of Mercy, Ardeskin, Donegal Town and formerly Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

Sr Moore passed away on Tuesday, July 1.

Sadly missed by the Sisters of Mercy Community, Donegal Town and Ballyshannon, and the wider Mercy Community of the Northern Branch, her brother Mikey, her sisters-in-law Mary Frances and Nora, her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her many friends and colleagues.

Mass of the Resurrection today, July 3, at 12 noon, in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town, with internment afterwards in Clar Cemetery, F94 VXT6.

John Barron, Letterkenny and Muff

The death has occurred of John Barron, 5 Rann Mor Walk, Letterkenny and formerly of Lenamore, Muff.

Mr Barron passed away at the Donegal Hospice surrounded by his loving family earlier this week.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Phil (Philomena Laughlin), son Paul (Lorena), grandchildren Ellie, Max, Ru, Jess and Gryffin, brothers Patrick (Joan), Frankie (Mary), Noel (Beverly), Mickie (Elima) sisters Celia Harrigan (Malachy), Bridgen mc Laughlin and Margaret Brogan (Enda).

Pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Mary and baby brother Paul.

Reposing at his late residence from 12noon to 10pm today, July 3 with rosary at 9pm.

Funeral on Friday, July 4 at 11am in The Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny with private cremation to follow.

The death has occurred of Hugh Kelly, Porthall, Lifford.

Mr Kelly passed away at the Donegal Hospice on Monday, June 30.

Predeceased by his parents Billy and May, his sister Marie and brother Eugene.

Deeply regretted by his loyal neighbours, extended family and many friends.

Robert O’Brien, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Robert O’Brien, 11 McNeely Villas, Letterkenny.

Mr O’Brien passed away peacefully and under the wonderful and compassionate care of the staff of Medical 3 at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday, June 30.

Very much loved and deeply missed by his brothers and sisters Patrick (Philomena), Dublin, Margaret (Russ), USA, Paul (Dorrie), Derry and Angela (CJ), Letterkenny, nieces and nephews, aunts Madge O’Donnell (England) and Eileen McGonagle (Scotland) and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.
Robert is predeceased by his parents Pat and Vera.

Funeral from his late residence today, July 3 at 12.30 pm going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 1 pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny.

Interment afterwards in New Leck Cemetery, Letterkenny.

The death has occurred of Joe O’Donnell, St Helier, Jersey and formerly of Ardsmore, Gortahork.

Mr O’Donnell passed away suddenly on Friday, June 28.

Predeceased by his loving parents Bernard and Gracie O’Donnell.

Sadly missed by his brothers David McNally and David O’Donnell, sisters Julie and Marianne O’Donnell, his nieces and nephews, Fionn, Naincí, Gracie, Úna, Sally, Maureen, Daphne and Oscar, brother and sister in laws, Brian, John and Abi, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues and a wide circle of friends in Jersey and Donegal.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Paddy Mongan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Paddy Mongan, 61 Cashel Park, Lisnennan, Letterkenny.

Mr Mongan passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Lisa, sons Tom and Paddy, daughter Kathlyn, father Paddy, brother Martin, sister Geraldine, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his mother Annie, son Gerard Pio and daughter Annalisha.

Requiem Mass today, July 3 at 11 am.

Burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.

John Hanlon, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of John Hanlon, Drumanaught, Newmills, Letterkenny.

Mr Hanlon passed away peacefully in the caring hands of the staff in the Donegal Hospice on Monday, June 30.

Predeceased by his father Sammy and his mother Sarah.

Cherished and beloved husband of Maeve.

John will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, his children – Melissa (Paul), Letterkenny, Shane (Elaine), Perth, Australia and Pauric (Emma), Letterkenny.

John will be deeply missed by his loving grandchildren – Carraig, Iarlaithe, Donnchadh, Erin, Guy and Penelope.

Deeply regretted by his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

Funeral from his late residence for requiem Mass on Thursday, July 3 at 11am in St. Columba’s Church, Glenswilly with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 11am, and on the morning of the funeral.
