Etta Wilkin, Carrigans

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Etta (Mary) Wilkin, Drumlougher, Carrigans, Lifford (F93W8NN). 

Predeceased by her late husband George, brothers John, William and Derek. 

Loving mother of son, Derek, daughters, Diane (Raymond), Judith (Trevor), Adeline (Gavin) and Valerie (Jeffery). Cherished grandmother of Nadine, Rachel, Kyle, Jack, Timothy, Charlie, Courtney, Hannah, Lucas, Isabella and Lilyana also great-grandchildren Farrah, Harrison and Theo. 

Etta’s remains will repose at her home from 7pm to 10pm on Thursday  evening, and 12 noon to 9pm on Friday.

Removal from her home on Saturday at 1.30pm for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving in Monreagh Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. 

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Newtowncunningham Day Centre and the Donegal Hospice, care of any family member or Terence McClintock funeral director. 

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.  

Edel Vitalis, London and formerly Glencolmcille

The death occurred of Edel Vitalis, (née Doherty) of London, formerly of Glencolmcille, on Sunday , January 12, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. 

Sadly missed by her husband, Richard, son, Orin, father, Jim, sisters, Emer (Gavin), Catherine (Stephen), brothers, Kenneth (Julie) and Owen (Caitriona), nieces, Aoife, Saorlaith and Leah, nephews, Josh and Jamie and her wide circle of relatives and friends. 

Predeceased by her mother, Ann, sister, Dervla and mother-in-law, Catherine.

A Mass for Edel will be held at St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille on Saturday, January 25 at 10am.

Her funeral and cremation will take place in London, with details to be released at a later date.

Mary Griffin, Ballybofey

The death has occurred at her late residence of Mary Griffin, née Brosnan, Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey, and formerly Knocknagoshel, Cordal East, Castleisland, Co.Kerry.

Mary was the daughter of the late Denis and Julia Brosnan. Beloved wife of the late Peter, and much loved mother to Denis, Peter, and Tony, cherished sister of Sheila, Peg, Dinjoe, and the late Breda. 

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her sons, sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.

Funeral leaving her late residence on Sunday at 10.40am for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill at 11am. Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the parish youtube channel at https://youtube.com/@killygordonparish

Joseph Boland, Killygordon

The death has taken place of Joseph (Joe) Boland, Curraghview, Brownstown, The Curragh, and late of Killygordon.

Retired engineer McDermott Barracks, The Curragh. 

He died peacefully in Naas Hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

Predeceased by his loving wife Molly. Sadly missed by his loving family, Jenny, Billy, Terry, Angie and Paul, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, Sinéad, Sarah, Wayne, Daniel, Ian, Rachel, Terry, Céire and Ellie, great-grandchildren Lucy, Tanner, Scott, Charlie, Leo and Sophie, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements later.

Ellen O’Connor, Carndonagh

The peaceful death has taken place at her home of Ellen O’Connor, Galwilly, Glentogher, Carndonagh. F93TC93.

Predeceased by her husband John and her son Gerard.

Deeply regretted by her sons and daughters. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, great -grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains will be reposing at her home from 7pm on Thursday evening.  

Removal from there on Saturday at 10.30am to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for 11.am Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Friends of Inishowen Hospice, c/o any family member or Kelly’s Funeral Directors.

Family time please from 10pm to 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Noreen McCormick, Greencastle

The peaceful death has taken place at Beach Hill Manor Nursing Home, Lisfannon, surrounded by all her loving family, of Noreen McCormick, Furze Cottage, Crossroads, Greencastle, F93 P9K7.

Predeceased by her parents, Hannah and Michael (Big Mick) and her loving husband, Seamus McCormick, her sisters, Ethna and Anne and her brothers, Patsy and Brendan.

Much loved mother of Eleanor (Frankie), Anne, RIP (Matty), Michael (Sheilagh), Nonie (Ian), James (Zoe), Paul, Ethna (Michael) and Brendan.

A devoted grandmother to all her 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours. 

Noreen’s remains are reposing at her home.  Funeral from there on Saturday at 1.30pm for 2pm Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack followed by interment in Ballybrack Cemetery.

Rosary both nights at 9pm with family time from 10pm to 11am.

Evelyn Daly, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Evelyn Daly (née Coulter), 34 Cluain Barron, Ballyshannon.

Ms Daly passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of the Ballyshannon Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving husband Edward, parents William and Ita and brothers Tommy and Jim.

Evelyn will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Denis (Moragh), daughter Michelle, grandchildren, Kieran, Róisin and Pauric and their mother Kathrina, her sisters Patricia, Ann, Mary (Bill), Geraldine (Paul), her brother Peter (Mena), aunt Madeline, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Reposing at her late residence on Thursday from 3pm to 9pm.

House private on the morning of the Funeral.

Funeral to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the Abbey Assaroe Cemetery, Ballyshannon.

James Joseph Boyle, Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of James Joseph Boyle,Ballard, Glencolmcille.

Mr Boyle passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Eddie and Mary and his sisters, May, Una and Brigid.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, his daughters Mary P (Thomas), Cathy Ann (Stephen), Martina (Manus) and son Seamus (Nathalie), his grandchildren Dylan, Senan, Pierce, Finlay, Ultan, Evan, Ruth, Conan, Fabian and Anna, his brothers, Eamon and Padraig and his sisters, Anne and Mairead and extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his home in Ballard (F94 DK71) on Thursday, January 16 from 2pm to 8pm.

House strictly private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass at 12pm on Friday, January 17 in St Columba’s Church, Glencolmcille with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Annie O’Neill, Dublin and Culdaff

The death has occurred of Annie O’Neill (née McLaughlin), Baldoyle, Dublin and formerly of Culdaff.

Ms O’Neill passed away peacefully in Beaumont Hospital on Friday, January 10.

Daughter of the late Cornelius and Kathleen, sister of the late Rosaleen, James, Patrick and Margaret.

Sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend Pierce, children Paul and Karen, adored six grandchildren Sam (his partner Lara), Ben (his partner Lauren), Eleanor, Jack, Orlagh and Caoimhe, sisters Kathleen and Geraldine, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Niamh, brother-in-law Dick, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a large circle of friends, neighbours and colleagues.

Reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Portmarnock, Thursday from 3pm to 5pm, removal Friday to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Baldoyle for 10am Funeral Mass, Annie’s funeral will then travel to Donegal.

Annie’s funeral will arrive at Muff border approximately 3pm, to continue to The Mill, Culdaff for repose approximately 4pm until 11pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday in St. Mary’s Church, Bocan for 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
