The death has occurred of Catherine McNulty (née Wilkinson), Umerfad, Creeslough.

Ms McNulty passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27.

Sadly missed and much loved by her daughter Mary (Richard), her sons James (Michelle), Shaun (Caroline), Edmund and Vincent, her granddaughters; Aisling, Tara, Kate and Laura, her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent.

Her remains will be reposing at her late residence on Thursday, August 28 from 3pm.

Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Creeslough on Saturday, August 30 at 3pm with burial afterwards in Doe Cemetery.

Cornelius McKeague, Dublin and Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Cornelius McKeague, 1 West Block, Mount Anthony, Ardee Rd., Rathmines, Dublin and formerly Torr Head, Co Antrim and Letterkenny.

Mr McKeague passed away on Sunday, August 24.

Predeceased by his parents James and Mary and brothers Gerry, John, Patrick and Seamus.

Deeply regretted by his sister Kathleen, retired midwife (Letterkenny), brother Alex (Rathdowney), nieces, nephews, relatives, in-laws, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny (F92 XE35) from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on Friday, August 29, where you are most welcome to pay your respects, concluding with removal to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny (F92 PN81) for Reception Prayers at 5pm, reposing overnight for 11am Requiem Mass on Saturday, August 30 which can be viewed online at the Church of the Irish Martyrs YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657 followed by interment in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Sean McCready, Lettermacaward

The death has occurred of Sean McCready, Corr Point, Lettermacaward.

Mr McCready passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday, August 27.

Pre-deceased by father Hughie, mother Cecelia and brothers Aidan and Brendan. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Lisa, her partner Al and his adored grandsons Leo and Dylan, his sister Marjorie and brothers Ciaran, Micheal and Joe, sister in laws, brother in law, nephews and nieces.
Sean’s remains will repose at his family home in Corr Point (F94R923) from today, Thursday at 11am until rosary at 8pm and on Friday from 11am until rosary at 8pm.

Funeral will take place at 11am in St Bridget’s Chapel, Lettermacaward on Saturday with burial afterwards in the adjacent graveyard.

House strictly private to family only on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.

Frederick (Freddie) Duncan, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Frederick (Freddie) Duncan, Drumconnor, Mountcharles.

Mr Duncan passed away peacefully after a short illness at his home surrounded by his devoted family on Tuesday, August 26.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Viola, his children Jennifer (Fiach), David (Emma), Anne-Claire (David) and Matthew (Kelly).

Sadly missed by his adored grandchildren Sorcha, Rohan and Siomha, Lydia, Hannah and Chloe, Andrew, Jonathan, Alexander, Ellen, Alice and Eloise.

Predeceased by his brother Bill (Celine).

Also remembered by his sister Joyce (Billy) his nieces and nephews, extended family and many good friends and neighbours.

Remains will be reposing at his family home on Thursday, August 28 from 2pm until 9pm.

Funeral service in St. John’s Church, Inver on Friday, August 29 at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

Kathleen McHugh, Killygordon and Raphoe

The death has occurred of  Kathleen McHugh (née Matthewson), Kiltown, Killygordon and formerly Coolaghey, Raphoe.

Ms McHugh passed away peacefully, in her 88th year, in Croydon, London on Saturday, August 16.

Beloved wife of Denis, much loved mother to her daughter Catherine (Mc Gowan), son Nigel, daughter in law Debbie, and late son in law Kevin, devoted grandmother to Kerry, Sinead, Daniel, Ryan, Ciaran, Ellie, and great grandmother to Cáitlin, Finlay, Aoife and Tommy, cherished sister of Herbie, Maureen, Danny, Nancy.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her husband, son, daughter, daughter in law, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces extended family neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at her residence in Kiltown, Killygordon on Thursday, August 28 from 1pm to 9pm.

Funeral leaving from her residence on Friday, August 29 at 10.30pm for requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon at 11am.

Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Rosaleen Mc Cool, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Rosaleen Mc Cool (née Molloy), Glebe, Stranorlar.

Ms Mc Cool passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, August 26.

Beloved wife of the late Donal, much loved mother to sons Martin and Danny, daughters Shauna, Lorraine and Noelle, dearly loved grandmother to Caoilainn, Nora, Tara, Aisling, Tessa, Aaron, Aidan, Aoife and Donal, her cherished sister Angela in USA.

Predeceased by her brothers Jim and Patsy, sisters Peggy, Mary and Tessie.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters, sister, sons in law Declan, Paul and Lloyd, daughter in law Elva, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and large circle of friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at her late residence on Thursday, August 28 and Friday, August 29 from 1pm until rosary at 9pm each day.

Funeral leaving from her late residence on Saturday, August 30 at 10.30 am, for requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.

Interment afterwards in Drumboe cemetery.

Hedley Gilliland, Bundoran

The death has occurred of Hedley Gilliland, Siocháin no. 21 Tullan Strand Rd., Bundoran.

Mr Gilliland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 25.

Predeceased by his granddaughter Grace.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Patricia, his son Neil, Neil’s partner Katriona and special close family friend Olga and all his neighbours and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning at 9.30am to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan for a private cremation.

All family and friends welcome to attend the removal at the funeral home on Thursday morning.

Mary Gillespie, Lettermacaward and Carrick

The death has occurred of Mary Gillespie (née Gallagher), Lettermacaward and Carrick.

Ms Gillespie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and under the wonderful care of Donegal Community Hospital.

Mary is predeceased by her father Michael James Gallagher and will be sadly missed by Eamon, her children Maureen (Carl), Gary (Katie) and Paul, her grandchildren Amy, Leah, Jason, Thomas and Shay, her mother Nora, sisters Catherine, Jackie, Fiona, Amanda and Noreen, her brothers Michael, Kevin, Danny, Declan and Peter, her in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Carrick with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Gabrielle Carty, Dungloe

The death has occurred of Gabrielle Carty (née Saunders), Meenmore, Dungloe and late of Croydon, UK and Mallow, Co Cork.

Ms Carty passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, August 23.

Beloved and devoted wife of John Carty who was with her when she passed.

Loving mother to Joanne, doting grandmother to Rian and sister of the late Anna, Dermot and Pat.

Sadly missed by her sisters Frances and Dene and her nephews and nieces: Rachel, Rónán, Feargal, Geraldine, Gavin, Gráinne, Siobhan, Colm, Sean, Annagh, Terence, Michelle and Amanda.

Reposing in McGlynn’s Funeral Home, Dungloe (F94WD68) on Thursday, August 28 from 6-8pm .

Funeral liturgy in St. Crona’s Church, Dungloe on Friday, August 29 at 12 noon. Followed by internment at Maghery graveyard.

Martin McCallion, Buncrana

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Martin McCallion, Lisnakelly, Buncrana.

Beloved husband of Martina (nee Walker), much loved father of Joanne (Shane), Christopher (Roberta), Jennifer (Anthony) and Mark, loving son of Anna and Barney, and dear brother of Enda, Gareth, Patrick and Brian.

Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by his loving wife, daughters, sons, mother, father, brothers, grandchildren, wider family circle and friends.

Martin’s remains will be reposing at his home where all welcome to pay their respects.

Removal from there on Thursday morning, August 28 at 10.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Margaret McCauley, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Margaret McCauley (née Fox), Bonahill, Ballyshannon.

Ms McCauley passed away peacefully after three years in the loving care of the staff at Springvale Care Home on Saturday, August 16.

Sadly missed by her loving sons Seán and Cathal, sister Helen, grandchildren Cara, Calum and Katie, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 28, at 11am, followed by burial in St. Michael’s graveyard.

Mary Ann Byrne, Kilcar

The death has occurred of Mary Ann Byrne, Straleel, Kilcar and formerly of Srath Buí, Gleann Cholmcille.

Ms Byrne passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 25.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Martin (Margaret), Pete (Mary), Mary (Seamus), Bríd (Michael) Michael (Ann), Margaret (Seamus), Gerry (Christine), Ann (Danny RIP), Jimmy (Ciara), Charlie (Orla), Martina (Francis), her 34 cherished grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Fondly remembered and sadly missed by her brothers Sean, Francie and Hughie, her sisters Threasa, Kathleen and Bríd, her extended family, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Hugh Patrick, her grandson Barry Breslin, son in law, Danny Mc Gill, her brother Peter and sisters Benadette and Philomena.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Cartha’s Church Kilcar with burial afterwards in the local Cemetery.

Theresa Ferguson, Scotland and Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of Theresa Ferguson (née McGlynn), Ayr, Scotland and Malinmore, Glencolmcille.

Ms Ferguson passed away peacefully at the Ayrshire Hospice in Ayr surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 15.

Pre-deceased by her mother Margaret McGlynn (née Craig), her father John and her sister Mary.

Sadly missed by her husband Hugh, daughter Lynn, son Richard and grandchildren Robyn, Adam and Kit and nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral Mass will be held on September 4 at 10am in St. Margarets RC Church in Ayr followed by Ayr Crematorium.

Her final remains shall be taken to St. Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille on Friday, September 12 where Mass will be held at 12 noon with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
