Anna Robinson, St Johnston

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Anna Robinson, Standfield House, Drumenan, St Johnston (F93Y9CX).

Predeceased by her husband Victor. Loving mother of Marshall and daughter-in-law Geraldine, Clive and daughter-in-law Dorothy, devoted grandmother of Joanna, William and Philip.

Anna will be deeply missed by her sisters Mary Fisher and Bertha Jamison, brother-in-law Robin, her nieces and nephews, wider family circle and her good friend Isobel.

Her remains will repose at her late residence from 4pm to 10pm today Saturday, January 1o and from 1pm to 10pm on Sunday, January 11.

Funeral leaving from her home on Monday, January 12 at 1.30pm going to Ballylennon Presbyterian Church for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving for her life, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Donations in memory of Anna if desired to Ballylennon Presbyterian Church, care of Geoffrey Vance or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Nora Sweeney (née Coll), Bunbeg

The death has taken place at her home of Nora Sweeney (née Coll) of Magheralosk, Bunbeg, originally from Derrybeg.

Predeceased by her husband Danny and two infant sons James and Noel, granddaughter Aisling, brothers Tomas, Brianniagh, Fred, John and Michael, sisters Bríd, Nan, Meabha, Caitlín, Peggy and Máire, and nieces and nephews.

Sadly missed by her sons James (Joanne), John, Dominic (Mary Theresa), Hughie and Eamonn, daughters Máire, Bríd (Martin), Róisín, Meave and Edel, her 16 grandchildren, in-laws Máire Coll, Bridget and Maurice Kiemel (Glasgow), and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) today from 1pm to 5:30pm.

Removal afterwards to St Colmcille’s Church, Cnoc Fola for 6pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, January 12 at 11am in St. Colmcille’s Church Cnoc Fola, burial afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Michael Doherty, Carndonagh

The peaceful death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of Michael Doherty, Benduff, Malin Road, Carndonagh.

Beloved husband of Maura. Dear brother of, and sadly missed by Eileen, Rose, Frances, Mary, Sheila and Paddy.

Predeceased by John, Willie, Kathleen, Eddie and Eugene.

Also deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, sisters in law, brothers in law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

His remains will be reposing at his home on Saturday from 4pm to 8pm.

House private, family and close friends are welcome to pay their respects.

Removal from there this morning at 10.30am, going to The Church of the Sacred Heart, Carndonagh for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in St Patrick’s Church graveyard, Aughaclay.

Requiem Mass can be viewed live on Carndonagh Parish, Derry Diocese, Ireland.

Margaret McKinley (née McFadden), Dunfanaghy

The death has taken place in University Hospital Galway of Margaret McKinley, nee Mc Fadden, 8 Chapel Road, Dunfanaghy,  Donegal.

Sadly missed and much loved by her husband Thomas, daughters Marissa (Charlie), Helena, Philomena (Miladur) and Samantha (Cavell), sons Matthew (Catherine) and Thomas (Vanessa), her twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

No wake, house is strictly private please. Funeral Service in Holy Trinity Church, Hornhead Road, Dunfanaghy, on Monday, January 12 at 1pm.

Burial afterwards in Clondahorkey Cemetery.

Bill Meehan, Convoy

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Bill Meehan, 201 Townparks, Convoy (F93XAR2).

Predeceased by his parents Rose and Robert, and brother-in-law PJ. Beloved brother of his twin sister Mary Maguire, and his sister Margaret Ponsonby (Eunan), his nieces, nephews and the wider family circle. He will be sadly missed by his carer Noelle, his neighbours and many friends.

His remains will repose at his home today Sunday, January 11 from 12noon until after the Rosary at 9pm, and from 12noon until after the Rosary on Monday.

Funeral leaving from his home on Tuesday 13 at 10.30am, going to St Mary’s Church, Convoy for 11am Funeral Mass followed by burial in the old graveyard. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Joe Boyle (Ann Eoin), Dungloe

The peaceful death has taken place in Dungloe Community Hospital of Joe Boyle (Ann Eoin) Shaskinarone, Dungloe and formally of Cardiff Wales and Cruckakeehan, Annagry surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Johnny and Bridget, his brothers Neillie, Paddy and John and his sisters Annie, Rosie and Maggie, numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

Sadly missed by his wife Margaret, his daughters Maureen (Eugene) and Fiona (Aidan) his grandchildren Joe, Alannah and Joshua, his sister Mary (Coventry), and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

Joe’s remains will repose at McGlynn’s Funeral Home Dungloe (F94 ND68) from 5pm on Friday,  January 9 with rosary at 8pm and on Saturday, January 10 from 5pm with rosary at 8pm.

Removal afterwards to his home in Shaskinarone.

House is strictly private to family only please.

Patsy McGinley, Castlefin

The death has occurred of Patsy McGinley, Ballylast, Castlefin, Lifford, Donegal, F93 A3H3.

Lovingly missed by his wife Margaret; daughters and sons Mary, Majella, Kevin, Raymond, Paul, Angela, Geraldine and Aidan; his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners; his 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and all his extended family and friends.

Patsy was predeceased by his parents Mary and Patrick, and by his brothers and sisters John, Joseph, Francie, Maryrose and Bridget.

Patsy will be reposing at his late residence from today, Friday, January 9 from 6.30pm to 9pm, and on Saturday,  January 10 from 12pm to 9pm.

Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.

The funeral cortege will leave his late residence this afternoon, January 11 at 12.20pm, travelling to St Columba’s Church, Doneyloop, for 1pm Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. F93 VH90.

Died peacefully in Letterkenny surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his dearly beloved wife Frances, and daughters Charlotte (Gordon), Claudia (Nigel) and Lorraine (John), loving grandfather of Graham, Clinton, Samantha, Lavina, Stacey and Andrew.

Funeral service in Donegal Methodist Church at 2pm this afternoon, January 11, followed by burial in the Old Abbey Graveyard, Donegal Town.

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Matt Moore, 14 Ard Colmcille, Letterkenny F92 TCV4.

Deeply missed by his loving sons Ronnie, Mark, Stephen and Allister (Letterkenny), daughter Betty McGinty (Kincraigy, Manorcunningham), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brother Willie (Crieve, Letterkenny), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Matt is predeceased by his wife Isobel, daughter Margo Coyle and his brothers and sisters.

Removal from The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny F92 XE35 on Friday, January 9 at 2pm, going to his late residence. Wake on Friday, January 9 from 4pm until 10pm and on Saturday, January 10 from 12 noon until 10pm.

Funeral Service in the family home this afternoon, January 11 at 2pm followed by interment in Gortlee Cemetery, Letterkenny. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Conwal Parish Church c/o any family member.

Philomena Taylor (née Monahan), Mountcharles

The peaceful death has taken place of Philomena Taylor (née Monahan) surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon, predeceased by her grandson Josh. Much loved mother of Rosalind, Bridget, John, Jane and Marie-Claire. Loving Nanny to David, Emma, Lora-Jane, Ross, Sarah, James, Jack, Robert, Luke, Oliver, Sebastian and Ariela, great-grandchildren Liadh, Ruby, Katie, Karla, Elle, Harry and Lila.

Dearly missed by her sister Noreen, brothers Sean and Eamonn, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Family flowers only donations if desired to Aware.

Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home Willbrook, Rathfarnham, Sunday, January 11 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, January 12 in the Church of the Annunciation Rathfarnham at 10am followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery.

Peter Boyle, Frosses

The death has occurred of Peter Boyle, Derryherk, Frosses, formerly of Dysart, Letterbarrow, Donegal PO peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary and his infant daughter, Méabh. Sadly missed by his extended family, his close relatives, neighbours and friends.

Peter’s remains will repose at his home at Derryherk, Frosses, F94P628 on Friday and Saturday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal this afternoon for 1pm requiem mass in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses with internment afterwards in the Cranny Road Cemetery, Frosses.

House private on the morning of the funeral.

Anyone attending the wake are kindly asked to park at Frosses Hall where a shuttle bus service will run from 5pm to and from the wake.

Brendan Silver, Dungloe

The death has taken place of Brendan Silver, Roscommon and Dublin, at his home in Caravan Road, Dungloe.

Survived by his heartbroken partner Anne-Majella, his sisters Patricia, Phil, Catherine Breege and Anne. His god-daughters Deborah and Catherine. Also the Gallagher and Quinn Families, his niece and nephews and his many friends.

Pre-deceased by his mother Bridie, father Michael, sister Mary (USA), brother Gerard and John (USA).

The wake will take place at his home at (F94KP83) on Caravan Rd Dungloe from 11am on Friday, January 9 and Saturday 10 with Rosary both nights at 8pm.

Brendan’s funeral mass will take place in St Crona’s Church, Dungloe at 1pm this afternoon, Sunday, January 11 with burial in the old graveyard.

Declan McColgan, Dublin and Inishowen 

The sudden death has taken place of Declan McColgan late of Old Court Avenue, Firhouse, Dublin and Keady, Iskaheen, Donegal.

Declan will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his wife Mary, his children Oisín and Lauren, and their partners Lisa and Richard, his sisters Geraldine, Eibhlin, Veronica, Carmel, Marie, Brenda, Fiona, and Caroline, his brothers and sisters in law, his nieces and nephews, his aunt Suzie, and his extended family, friends, neighbours and co-workers.

Predeceased by his parents Denis and Sadie McColgan and his brothers Peter and Kevin.

Declan’s remains will repose home, Keady Iskaheen (F93 HF67) on Saturday, 10 January from 2pm. House private on Sunday morning. Removal from there this afternoon, January 11 at 1.40pm going to St Patrick’s Church, Iskaheen for 2pm Requiem Mass.
