The death has occurred of Raymond Wray, The Heneys, Donegal Town.

Mr Wray passed away peacefully at Donegal Community Hospital on Sunday, March 16.

Remains arriving at Christ Church Lough Eske, Sunday, March 16 at 7.30pm.

Removal from Christ Church Lough Eske Tuesday, March 18 at 1.30pm to Donegal Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 2pm followed by burial in the Glebe Cemetery, Donegal Town.

Jenna Shovlin, Portnoo

The death had occurred of Jenna Shovlin, The Rock, Clogher West, Portnoo, Donegal..

Ms Shovlin passed away suddenly in Manhattan, New York.

She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken parents, Frankie and Kathleen, brothers Christopher (Tanya), Keith (Hannah), nieces Lilly and Jodie, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Jenna’s remains will repose at the family home F94 N6C2 from Tuesday, March 18 from 12 noon straight through until removal on Friday, March 21 to St. Conal’s Chrurch, Kilclooney for funeral Mass at 12 noon. The funeral Mass will be streamed live on the McCabe’s Funeral Directors Facebook page.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Rosary nightly at 9pm.

A shuttle bus service will be in operation from the Dolmen Centre Kilclooney, for the traffic from Ardara direction and Narin Beach car park for the traffic from Glenties direction to the wake house from 5pm daily.

Moire Toye, Letterkenny

The death has occurred, surrounded by her loving family,  of Moire Toye (née Madden) 14 The Grange, Letterkenny, F92CH9W.

Predeceased by her loving husband Tony.

Sadly missed by her sons, Bernard (Sharon), Pete (Christina), Anthony, Michael (Fionnuala), Paddy (Mary T); daughters Majella (Jim), Nicola (Gary); grandchildren and partners and great-grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Pat) and her sister Roslie (Andy) and families.

Funeral Mass on Sunday, March 16 at 12 noon in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.  Funeral Mass can be viewed at wwwsteunanscatherdal.ie.

David McKeown, Quigley’s Point

The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of David McKeown, Crehennan, Quigley’s Point.

Predeceased by his parents, Annie and Andrew, brothers, Andrew and Robert and sister, Dorothy.

Beloved husband of Joan, much loved father of Stephen (Laura), Gillian (Nicholas), Lynne (Jason); cherished grandfather of Katie, Sam, Charlotte, William and baby Tom. David will be sadly missed by his brother, John and sisters-in-law, Jean, Sharon and Hazel and the wider family circle.

His remains are reposing at his late residence.

House private at the request of the deceased, family and close friends welcome.

Funeral leaving from his home on Sunday afternoon at 2.30pm for 3pm Service of Thanksgiving in Greenbank Presbyterian Church followed by burial in St Finan’s Graveyard, Redcastle.

Sadie Sweeney, Glenties

The peaceful death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny of Sadie Sweeney (née Brennan), Drumnasillagh, Glen Road, Glenties and Main St., Glenties and formerly Crucknagapple, Ardara.

Predeceased by her husband, Danny, son, James and daughter, Eileen, sons-in-law, Cormac and Tony.

Deeply regretted by her daughters, Claire (James), Christine, Bernadette (Tim), Caroline (Mick); sons, Frank, Danny (Elaine), Terence (Tina); brother, Sean (Ardara); sisters, Kathleen (Kilclooney) and Eileen (Bruckless); grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Sadie’s remains will repose at Glen Road, Glenties (F94YF83), on Sunday from 10am until 10pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday afternoon at 1pm in St. Connell’s Church , Glenties with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Pearse McGarrigle, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Pearse Mc Garrigle, Nevada, USA and formerly Castle Street and Drumcliffe, Donegal Town.

Predeceased by his parents, Joe and Anna, and his brother, Ciaran.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sister, Geraldine, brother-in-law, Dan, brother, James and sister-in-law, Marie and dear nephew, Jamie, relatives and friends.

Anthony John Dick, Galway and Killybegs

The death has occurred of Anthony John Dick, Forramoyle West, Barna, Galway, formerly of Killybegs, and Alaska.

John died after a short illness on Wednesday, March 12. He will be sorely missed by his devoted family: Florence, Andrew and Veronica, daughter-in-law Erika, son-in-law Killian, adoring grandchildren, Louis, Charlie, Charlotte and Jack, siblings, Valerie, Fiona, Gerald, Vivienne and Adrian, nieces, nephews, neighbours and his wide circle of friends both here and abroad.

Welcomed in heaven by his daughter, Sarah, sister, Cathy, parents, Veronica and Herbert, recently by his sister-in-law, Mary Crisham and by his brothers-in-law, Johnny and Maurice.

John’s family would like those attending the funeral to wear colourful clothes to celebrate his life. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Down Syndrome Ireland. House private please.

Funeral Arrangements – Monday, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 – John will Repose in the ‘Cillín’ within the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Bearna from 4pm. to 5.30pm.

Tuesday, March 18 – Requiem Mass will be celebrated for John on arrival at the Church of Mary Immaculate Queen, Bearna at 11am. A Committal Service will take place at 4pm at Shannon Crematorium. Live Streaming link for Mass: https://www.churchtv.ie/barna/

Delia Pender, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Delia Pender, Knather, Ballyshannon.

Ms Pender passed away peacefully at University Hospital Galway surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 13.

Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary, her brothers, Peter, Kevin and Kieran and her dear son, Patrick.

Delia will be forever missed by her daughters, Irene and Fiona, her brothers, Paddy and Anthony, as well as her grandchildren, Connie, Patrick and Jamie, Finn, and Shea, and great-grandchildren Rose, Fiadh and Sean, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon on Sunday, March 16 for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with service of interment afterwards in Abbey Assaroe Cemetery.
