The death has taken place at her home of Mary Daly, Main Street, Lifford.

Much loved mother of Aidan (Brenda) and Nikita (Brian), dearly loved grandmother of Jake, Brooke, Conor and Sheá, dearly loved daughter of the late Austin and Margaret Daly and sister of Patricia, Austin, Liam, Michael and the late Thomas, Brid and baby Marjorie.

Reposing at her home on Monday, June 1 from 12 noon.

Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, June 3 at 9.20am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog, Lifford at 10am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son, daughter, grandchildren, brothers, sister and family circle.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Bernard Joseph McElhinney, Falcarragh and Quigley’s Point

The peaceful death has taken place of Bernard Joseph McElhinney, Ray, Falcarragh F92 K4C8 and formerly of Quigley’s Point.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Kathleen, brothers Willie and James, sister Kathleen, nephew Mark, niece Angela, brothers-in-law Billy and Tim.

Survived by his sisters Teish and Owen, Eileen and sister-in-law Faye, nieces, nephews and a circle of family and friends.

His remains are reposing at his sister Teish and Owen McGee’s residence in Ray, Falcarragh F92 K4C8 with the wake commencing Sunday, May 31 from 3pm to 9pm and Monday, June 1 from 12 noon to 9pm. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

House private after Rosary and on the morning of the funeral

Funeral from there on Tuesday, June 2 for 12 noon Requiem Mass in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh F92 X302 with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Thomas Anthony McLaughlin, Derry and Churchill

Thomas Anthony McLaughlin, formerly of William Street, West End Park and Glen Road, Derry, passed away peacefully at his home in London on Friday, May 22, aged 78.

He was the beloved husband of Margaret and the devoted father of Christopher, Nicholas and Emily. He was a loving grandfather to Willa, Hugh, Pep, Laurie, Salvador, Thomas and Martha, who brought him enormous joy. Beloved brother of Carol, Catherine, Anne, Norah and the late Philip, Willie and Donal.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A wake will be held at 6 Springham Park, Derry BT48 0RD on Sunday, May 31 from midday until 9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry, at 10am on Monday, June 1. Tom will be buried at Gartan Graveyard, County Donegal, at 11am on Tuesday 2nd June.

Maeve O’Donnell, Stranorlar 

The death has occurred of Meave O’ Donnell, formally Chapel Street, Stranorlar, retired nurse at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Stranorlar. Predeceased by her parents Joe and Kate O’ Donnell, and her brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her sister Nora (Deo), all her nieces and nephews, who meant so much to her, by all her colleagues, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the home of her niece Grace and her husband Michael Mc Closkey, 27 Willowbrook, Glencar, Letterkeny F92 F5X9 this Saturday evening from 5pm to 9pm, and on Sunday, May 31 from 12 noon until removal at 6.45pm to the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Monday, June 1 at 11am. Interment in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Churchyard, Frosses.

Michael (Mickey) McGeever, Downings

The death has occurred of Michael (Mickey) McGeever, Gortnamore, Downings Co. Donegal.

Predeceased by his daughter Margaret, son-in-law Paddy, and sister Mary.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife Brigid, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Paddy.

Reposing at his late residence from 10am on Saturday morning, May 30, with family time please from 10pm to 10am, and on the morning of the funeral.

Rosary nightly at 9pm. A shuttle bus will be in operation from F92ACW8.

Removal from his late residence on Monday morning, June 1, for funeral Mass at 11am in Saint John the Baptist Church, Carrigart (F92FW93), followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Oncology Ward, Letterkenny.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Adrian (Ned) McDaid, Culdaff

The death has occurred of Adrian McDaid (Ned), Templemoyle, Culdaff, suddenly at his home.

Predeceased by his father Neshie and his brother Mark.

Beloved son of Bernie and loving father of Cathal, Hugh, Shaun, Katie, Mikey and AJ.

Cherished brother of Aislinn (Stephen), Gary, Catriona (Joey) and Declan (Michelle).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family circle, friends and neighbours.

Adrian’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN, this evening, Friday May 29 at 7pm going to his home (F93 NTPO).

Funeral from there on Monday, June 1, at 10.20am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay, followed by burial in Lagg graveyard.
