Joe Gallagher, Falcarragh

The peaceful death has taken place of Joe Gallagher, Drumfin, Falcarragh, in the loving care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin.

Predeceased by his father John (Teish).

Sadly missed by his mother, Bridie, wife, Bernie, daughter, Maria and granddaughter, Croía, brothers, Danny, John Anthony and Paul, sisters, Patricia, Eileen and Bernadette.

His remains will repose at his mother’s residence at Drumfin, Falcarragh F92F791 on Monday and Tuesday. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

House private after the rosary each night until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon in St Fionan’s Church, Falcarragh, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired to Donegal Cancer Flights and Services in care of any family member or Sweeney Funeral Directors and Embalmers.

Eileen O’Gorman (née Sweeney), Milford

The peaceful death has taken place at her residence of Eileen O’Gorman, surrounded by her loving family.

Deeply regretted by her devoted husband, John, son, Luke, daughter, Katie and sister, Mary. Predeceased by her parents, Willie and Bida and her sister, Sadie.

There is no wake at the request of the deceased.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, Golan followed by interment in Milford Cemetery.

House strictly private.

Brendan (Thomas) McBrearty, Glasgow and formerly St. Johnston

The death has occurred of Brendan (Thomas) McBrearty, No.41, Cockenzie Street, Glasgow, Scotland G32 6XH, formerly 195 Ard Baithin, St. Johnston.

Brendan died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

He will be missed dearly by his loving wife, Maudie, sons, Brendan, Bobby, Raymond, Christopher and daughter, Susie, daughters-in-law, his grandchildren, Caitlin, Ross, Ryan, Erin, Danni, Christi, Neve, Abbie, Aedan, Aengus and great-granddaughter, Rhea and extended family and friends.

Brendan was predeceased by his mother, father and brothers RIP.

Brendan will be reposing at Kelly’s Funeral Home, Oakfield, Raphoe, F93 KP0N from Monday evening, March 10 from 6pm to 9pm.

Funeral cortege will be leaving Kelly’s Funeral Home, Oakfield, Raphoe on Tuesday at 10am travelling via Church Street, then Main Street, St. Johnston and onto St. Baithin’s Church, St. Johnston for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Vinnie Grant, Clonmany

The peaceful death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Vinnie Grant, Annaugh, Clonmany, F93K6C9.

Predeceased by his daughter, Pauline and twin boys, Vincent Martin and Daniel Columba.

Beloved husband of Margaret and much loved father of Marie, Anne, Madelene, Declan and Shaun.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his eight grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters in-law, nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Vinny’s remains are reposing at the family home where you are welcome to pay your respects

Funeral from there on Monday at 10.40am going to St Mary’s Church, Clonmany for requiem Mass at 11am with interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

Family time please from 10pm until 10am.

Kevin (Colm) Ward, Downings

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Kevin (Colm) Ward, Murlog, Downings.

Predeceased by his parents Colm and Agnes and his siblings, Brian and Joan.

Forever loved and deeply missed by his wife, Kath, his daughters, Catrina (Lee) Sarah (Frank) and Angela (John), his grandchildren, Alanna, Aidan, Ellie and Sophie, his sister, Maureen and brother, Dermot and extended family and friends.

Reposing at his residence in Murlog, Downings F92 A6K5.

A bus service will run from Downings GAA Centre to and from the wake on Sunday from 1pm-9pm.

Rosary at 9pm.

House private please each night after the rosary until noon and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in St John the Baptist Church, Carrigart with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired to Donegal Hospice, c/o any family member.

John Sheridan, Bruckless

The death has occurred of John Sheridan, Ballyloughan, Bruckless and Carrick Sheltered Housing, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff at Donegal Hospice, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Mary, infant brother and sister, Paul and Kathleen and brother-in-law, Francie Cunningham.

Sadly missed and deeply loved by his daughters, Charmaine and Michelle and son-in-law, Shay, his adoring grandchildren, Leighann, Samantha, Richard, Stewart and Owen, his brothers, Charles (Susan), Des (Karolyn), Francis, Connor and Maurice, sisters, Bernie (Francie RIP), Irene (Sean) and Kathleen, his nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing on Sunday at Tir Conaill Funeral Home, Donegal Town F94 FX3A. from 4pm to 7pm followed by removal to the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless to arrive at 8pm and repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Seamus Goe McShane, Teelin

The sudden death has occurred of Seamus Goe McShane, Ballymore, Teelin.

Sadly missed and dearly loved by his wife, Noreen, children, Barry (Amanda), Amanda (Dermot), Isla (David), grandchildren, Jess, Cora, Beth, Cora, Kian, Callum, Mia and Evie, brother, Colm, sisters, Mairead and Maire, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Tommy and Brigid, and his brother, Sean.

Mary Bridget Doherty, Carrick

The death has taken place of Mary Bridget Doherty, Carrick (Paisley, Scotland).

She passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the staff at Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs.

Predeceased by her parents, John and Cassie, her brothers, John and Seoirse, her sisters, Anne, Vera and Rose, her brothers-in-law, Hugh, Owenie, Ernie and John and her nephew, Kieran.

Mary Bridget will be sadly missed by her sisters, Jane and Kathleen, her sisters-in-law, Rita and Mary Catherine, her nieces and nephews and extended family.

Remains reposing in Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara on Sunday from 2pm – 5pm. Removal from there to St. Columba’s Church, Carrick to arrive at 6pm, travelling via Killybegs.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Leon Kelly, Lifford

The death has taken place at his home of Leon Kelly, 42 Beechwood Grove, Lifford, F93 KW6P

Much loved father of Kian, Freya and Zack.

Cherished son of Rosemary and Michael, dearly loved brother of Stephen, Michelle, Michael, Tegan and the late Shaun.

Reposing at his home.

Funeral leaving his home on Monday at 9am for Requiem Mass in St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston at 10am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken sons, daughter, mum, dad, brothers, sisters and family circle.

Family time please from 10pm until 11am.

  

Gemma McVeigh, Cavan, Donegal and Fermanagh

The death has occurred of Gemma McVeigh, Cavan / Donegal / Fermanagh.

She passed away peacefully on Friday surrounded by her loving family in the Palliative Care Unit at Omagh Hospital.

Gemma was cherished beyond words and will be forever missed by her adored son Oisín Doran (Eimear), her devoted partner Stephen Kelly, her heartbroken parents Michael and Kitty, and her beloved brothers and sisters Ronan (Elaine), Michelle (Kevin), Aisling (John), Marie Louise (Aidan), and Niall (Riona). She was a treasured aunt and godmother to James, Orlagh, Kate, Luke, Conáll, Laoise, Méabh, Senán, Michael, Etaoin, Lugh, and Solan, each of whom she loved so dearly.

House strictly private on Friday.

Gemma will be reposing at her parents’ home, Tirconaill Lodge, Sligo Road, Enniskillen BT74 7JY, from 2pm to 9pm on Saturday and from 4pm – 8pm on Sunday.

Her funeral will leave the family home on Monday, March 10 at 11.30am for 12 noon Requiem Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Enniskillen, followed by burial in Cross Cemetery. House strictly private to immediate family on Monday morning.
