Seamus McBride, Milford

The death has taken place on April 14  of Seamus McBride, Moyle View, Milford, suddenly in Glasgow. 

Much loved son of Mary (Milford) and Eddie (Creeslough). Loving father of David, Hannah and Rebecca and regretted by their mother, Lucy. 

Sadly missed by his sister, Kim and her husband, Dermot, his niece, Tamara and his nephew, Eoghán. Forever in the thoughts of his partner, Shannan and her daughter, Kaylagh. 

Always loved by his aunts, cousins and wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his grandmother, Peggy Rodgers (Milford), his grandparents, James and Rosie McBride (Creeslough) and his cousin, Chris Toye (Milford). 

Reposing at the residence of his sister, Kim and Dermot Ward, 21 Lough Fern Heights, Milford, F92 VOY5. 

Requiem Mass on Monday April 28 at 11am in St Peter’s Church, Milford. Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral. 

Kalize McGuigan, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Kalize McGuigan, aged 13, of 45 Windmill View, Letterkenny, loving daughter of Sarah Louise McGuigan.

Sadly missed by her sisters, Sophie and Ruby, aunt Ciana (AKA Putsy), uncles, Martin and Damien (AKA Uncle’s Day), Granny Bridie, Granda John, cousins and extended family.

Kalize will repose at her late residence from 10am-10pm on Sunday. Rosary at 9pm.

The Mass of the Angels will take place in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny at 11am on Monday with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm-10am and on the morning of the funeral please.

Family flowers only with donations in lieu if desired to the Laura Lynn Hospice c/o any family member or Con McDaid Funeral Directors. 

Joe Lynch, Muff

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Joe Lynch, Killderry, Muff.

Beloved husband of Carol and dear father of Elaine (Greg), Christine, David (Anna), Stephan and Paul (Kyla).

Sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family circle and friends.

Removal from his residence on Monday at 12 noon going to St Patrick’s Church, Ishkaheen, Muff for requiem Mass at 12.30pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private to family and friends only at the request of deceased.

Rebecca Moore, Carrigans

The peaceful death has taken place at Altnagelvin Hospital of Rebecca (Ruby) Moore, in her 92nd year, née Hastings, Legnathraw, Monreagh Carrigans, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her late husband, Noel, her siblings, Roy, Norman, Kathleen and Willie.

Cherished mother of Harold and wife, Karen, Derek and partner, Deirdre.

Treasured granny of Hayley (James), Lindsey (John), Kyle (Lou, Brazil) and Matthew (Brooke) and a proud great-granny of Miguel, Zac, Mollie, Phoebe, Ozzie, Heidi and Koby.

Ruby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters, Margaret and Eileen and brother, David, fondly remembered by the Moore-Hastings family circle, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at her late residence Monreagh, Carrigans with house strictly private to family only.

All welcome to attend Ruby’s Service of Thanksgiving on Monday, April 28 at 2pm in Monreagh Presbyterian Church, with burial afterwards in the family plot in the adjoining graveyard.

Patricia McKeegan, Antrim and Castlefinn

The death has taken place of Patricia McKeegan, née Grieve, Tully Crescent, Cushendall, Co. Antrim

and late of Laught, Castlefinn.

She died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the exceptional care of the medical staff of Causeway Hospital, Coleraine. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Frankie (January 2025). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving siblings, Teresa O’Reilly (Mullagh, Cavan), Ann Gorman (Kilmacrenan) Genevieve McElwee (Kilmacrenan) Martina Hamilton (Ballintogher, Sligo), Carmel Feeney (Kilargue, Leitrim), Marion Rogers (Carrigart), Gerard (Tievebrack, Castlefinn), Deirdre McGinley (Carrigart) and Jacqueline Ryan (Ballyclough, Limerick), her beloved nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, relatives, the McKeegan family, neighbours and many friends. 

Reposing at her home 12 Tully Crescent, Cushendall BT 44 OSW on Sunday from 12 noon to 8pm, Requiem Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 10am in St. Mary’s Church Cushendall, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

House private to family on Monday morning please.

Rosaleen Mogan, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Rosaleen Mogan, Lower Glencoagh, Mountcharles, peacefully following a short illness at Letterkenny University Hospital. 

Predeceased by her daughter, Ann, husband, Cyril, granddaughter, Nicola, parents, Mickey and Annie Keeney and her brother, Joe (USA).

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving sister, Margaret Bonner (Willie RIP) and family (USA), her sons and daughters, 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren: Cindy and Pat Gallagher, Patrick and Nicola, Jack, Holly, Aoife, Grace and Saoirse, Kevin and Chantelle, Sean and Daniel, Cecil and Teresa, Austin, Amy and Bronagh, Aisling, Damien Conor and Killian, Stephen and Aliah, Siobhan and Gerard, Caoimhe, Peter and Archie, Ciara and Josh, Noelle and Patrick Mulhern, Bryan and Grace, Erin, Aidan and Ronan, Bridgeen, Ritchie, Alanna and Paddy, Mick and Geraldine, Natasha and Raymond, Ann Marie, Ronan and Jayden, David,

Remains are reposing at her late residence (F94F62V), today from 2pm until 10pm. 

Removal from there on Monday for 11am funeral Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles, with cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 3pm. 

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu if desired to the Stroke Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o Gallagher Funeral Directors, Mountcharles. 

There will be a one-way system in operation at the wake – enter via Mountcharles Village (opposite the green pump) and exit at the Glen (Mountcharles/Donegal Road).

Betty Stewart, Falcarragh 

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Betty Stewart, Moyra, Falcarragh.

Sadly missed by her son, Leslie, daughter, Jacqueline, grandchildren, Stewart, Philippa and Jennifer, extended family and friends. Berry was predeceased by her husband, Bobby. 

There is no wake. Viewing will take place at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny on Monday from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to Holy Trinity Church, Hornhead Road, Dunfanaghy for 8pm to repose overnight. 

Funeral Service in Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Ballymore Graveyard. 

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Áras Uí Dhomhnaill Nursing Home, Patient Comfort Fund, c/o any family member or James Harkin, Funeral Director.  

Manus Elliott, Doochary

The death has occurred of Manus Elliott, Doochary, peacefully, following a long illness borne with great strength and dignity, surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful tender care of the staff of Áras Mhic Shuibhne.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary, his parents, Simon and Rosie, and his brother, Paddy.

Manus will be forever loved and greatly missed by his children, Rosemarie, Annette and Simon, his grandchildren, Enda, Paul, Maria, Cian, Eoin, Katie and Luke, his sons-in-law, Oliver and Liam, daughter-in-law, Mary, his brothers, Dinny, Connell, Huddie (Hughie) and Columba, his sisters, Mary, Sarah-Anne, Gracie and Teresa, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends. 

Remains reposed at Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home, Dungloe on Sunday with removal on Sunday evening  to his home in Doochary. 

Reposing on Monday from 1pm with Rosary at 8pm. House strictly private until 1pm.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 1pm in St. Conal’s Church, Doochary followed by burial in the new cemetery.   

Catherine (Kitty) Sweeney, Clydebank and Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kitty) Sweeney (née Hone), Clydebank, and formerly of Finadose, Clar, Donegal Town.

Ms Sweeney passed away, aged 92 years old, at her home surrounded by all her loving family on Tuesday, April 15.

Beloved wife of the late Peter, mother to Annemarie, John, Patricia, Kathleen, Brenda, Denise, Peter, and the late Andrew. Sister to Eamon Hone.

Much loved by everyone including her sons and daughter in laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren friends and wider family.

The rosary will be held in McColgan’s Funeral Directors, Kilbowie Road, Clydebank at 4.30pm on Monday, April 28.

Funeral Mass will take place in St Eunan’s Chapel, Clydebank on Tuesday, April 29 at 9.30am, followed by burial in Dalnotter Cemetery.

House private from Monday evening, April 28.
