Michael McGlynn, Bruckless

The death has occurred of Michael McGlynn Bruckless, formerly Dunkineely. He died peacefully on Friday at the Harbour Lights Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his beloved son, Peter and his parents Danny and Elizabeth. Deeply missed by his wife Margaret, his brothers and sisters, Mary (Clifford RIP), Angela, Antionette (Aidan), Gertie (Michael), John (Jean) and Raymond (Moya), his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Remains reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara (F94 A250) on Saturday from 3pm to 6pm and on Sunday from 3pm to 5pm, followed by removal via Ardaghey/Dunkineely to the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless to arrive at 6pm to repose overnight. 

Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. 

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Harbour Lights Nursing Home or Killybegs Community Hospital, care of any family member.

Paddy Elliott, Lettermacaward

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Paddy Elliott, Elliott’s Bar, Lettermacaward.

His remains reposed at McGlynn’s Funeral Home on Friday followed by removal to his own family home.

House strictly private on Saturday and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1pm in St. Bridget’s Church, Lettermacaward with interment afterwards in the new cemetery.

Dale Latendresse, Newtowncunningham

The death has taken place of Dale Latendresse, Newtowncunningham. She died peacefully on Wednesday, December 18 in the wonderful care of the staff of Beaumont Hospital surrounded by her loving family. 

Beloved wife of Robert and loving mother to Heather and Jessica. Dale will be very sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, children, grandson Joshua and his wife Jade, relatives, friends and neighbours.  

A private family Funeral will take place. 

Esther Mahon, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Esther Mahon (née Kerrigan), 53 Erne Dale Heights, Ballyshannon.

Ms Mahon passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 19.

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, sadly missed by her son Jim, daughter Julie (Edward), grandchildren Maurise (Maurice), Amanda, and Tyler, her brothers and sisters Doreen, Noelle, Josie, Frances, Michael, Assumpta and Mary, nieces, nephews and all extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her mother and father Jimmy and Maureen and her brothers and sisters Sally, Jimmy, Pa and Anne.

Removal from her residence on Saturday morning from her residence going to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for 11 am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Sligo University Hospital or The Palliative Care Team c/o any family member or John McGee & Sons funeral directors.

Margaret Bradley, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Margaret Bradley (née Laughlin), 52 Dr McGinley Road, Letterkenny and formerly of Rahan, Letterkenny.

Ms Bradley passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday, December 19.

Predeceased by her loving husband Willy, Sadly missed by her heartbroken children William (Claire), Johnny (Brenda), Jackie (Martin), Josephine and Caroline and grandchildren.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Saturday, December 21, in St. Eunan’s Cathedral with burial afterwards in Leck Cemetery.

Willie O’Connor, Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Willie O’Connor, Malin Road, Carndonagh.

Mr O’Connor passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice, in his 101st year, on Wednesday, December 18.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Annie, his daughter Rose and his infant child Mary.
Much loved father of Shaun (Margaret), Pat (Kathleen), Liam (Ann), Noel (Anna), Anthony (Kathryn) and Michael (Ann).

Deeply regretted by his sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Removal from his son Michael’s residence, Malin Road took place on Friday evening going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
