Nellie Boyle, Arranmore Island and Ballyshannon Betty Pitcher, Inver

 

Rita Flannery, Sligo and Carrigart

The death has occurred of Rita Flannery, ‘Springmount’, Tubbercurry, Co.Sligo and formerly of Carrigart.

She died peacefully in the exceptional and compassionate care of the staff of the North West Hospice Sligo surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

Predeceased by her husband Dr. Sean, brothers Paddy, Danny, Bill and her son-in-law Tom Carmody.

Deeply mourned by her family, Evelyn, Enda, Una, Maeve, Louis and Lorcan, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Aifric, Eithne, Aengus and Emma, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Rita will be reposing in the family home on Sunday afternoon from 2pm until 5pm. Removal from the family home on Monday morning to arrive in St John The Evangelist Church, Tubbercurry for requiem Mass at 11.30am with the burial afterwards to Rhue Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to North West Hospice Sligo.

Ronald F. Gammell, Wicklow and Burtonport

The death has taken place in Blackrock Hospital of Ronald F. Gammell, Greystones, Co. Wicklow and Burtonport.

Devoted, loving husband and best friend of Rosemary (née Ferry), exceptional father to Colin, Geoff, Lorna and Darragh; adored grandfather to Georgia, Josh, Karla, Kieran, Ben and Pippa.

Sadly missed by his sisters Vera and Claire, daughters-in- law Eleanor and Wendy and Lorna’s partner Paul, his devoted dog Cooper, extended family and friends. 

Predeceased by his parents Frances and Henry and his brothers Tony, Jimmy and Vincent. 

Reposing at the William Doyle Funeral Home, Kilcoole from 6pm until 8pm on Monday. 

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 2pm in the Holy Rosary Church, Greystones after which Ronald will be laid to rest in Kilquade New Cemetery.

House private please. 

Dorothy Kelly, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Dorothy Kelly, Drimaneary, Mountcharles.

Predeceased by her husband Joe, sadly missed by her sons, Alex, Wayne, Peter and Shawn and her granddaughter, Shannon. 

Remains will be reposing at Gallaghers Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles, on Sunday from 2pm until 4pm.
Removal from there on Monday going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles for 12 noon funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

 

Dermot McCarthy, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Dermot McCarthy, Clareden Drive, Donegal Town, peacefully in Donegal Community Hospital.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Irene, sons Justin, Finbarr, Olan (Elaine) grandchildren Angela, Olan, Bernadette and Aisling.

Dermot’s remains will repose in Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Drumrooske, Donegal Town from 2pm until 6.30pm on Sunday with removal to St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town for 7pm.

Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town on Monday at 11am with burial immediately afterwards in Clar Graveyard.

Patrick McMenamin, Dunkineely

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Patrick McMenamin, Killaghtee, Dunkineely, 

Predeceased by his parents Seamus and Peggy and his sister Margaret. 

Patrick will be sadly missed by his wife Anne, son Kevin, his adoring grandchildren Caitlin and Alannah, brother Gerald, sisters Marian and Bernadette, extended family, friends and neighbours. 

Remains reposing Saturday at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Ardara  from 3pm to 6pm followed by removal to his residence. House private please.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in the Church of Saint Joseph and Saint Conal, Bruckless, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary McEntee, Dublin and Creeslough

The death has taken place of Mary McEntee (née McGinley) of Cabinteely, Dublin 18 and formerly of Killoughcarron.

She passed away peacefully, in her 90th year, on Thursday  in the kind and compassionate care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. 

Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) McEntee, devoted and much loved mother of Anne Marie, Kathleen and John and loving sister of Neil, Brigid and the late Kathleen. 

Sadly missed by all her family, relatives and friends.  

Requiem Mass on Monday at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Maeve Duffy, Derrybeg

The death has taken place in Áras Ghaoth Dobhair of Maeve Duffy, Factory Road, Derrybeg, formerly of Gola Island and Strand Road, Bunbeg.

She was predeceased by her husband Charlie Duffy, sisters, Annie and Sheila and infant brother Peter.

Sadly missed by her daughter Catriona (Enda), sons, Padraig (Anita), Joseph (Emma) and Charles (Sinead); sisters, Bridie and Maire; grandchildren, Conor, Niamh, Aoife, Daire, Aileen, Rachel, Charley Jo, Teddy, Max and Jasper and extended family and friends.

House private on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg at 11am on Sunday with interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

Noreen O’Boyle, Drumfries, Buncrana

The death has taken place at her late residence of Noreen O’Boyle, Owenbuoy, Drumfries, Buncrana.

She is reposing at her daughter’s residence, Pat Rafferty in Drumfries, Buncrana.

Leaving there at 9.30am on Sunday morning  for 11am requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Glenswilly. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please. House private from 10pm until 12pm.

Donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice. 

Patrick Logue, Carndonagh

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Patrick Joseph Logue, 44 Cedar Grove, Carndonagh.

Beloved husband of Roisin, sadly missed by his family Steven, Brendan, James and Suzanne.

Dear brother of Eileen, Frank, Marie and Harry. Deeply regretted by his grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Patrick will leave Kelly’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh on Friday at 2pm going to his late residence.

Removal from there on Sunday morning at 10.30am to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial in Lagg cemetery, Malin Head.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to St. Vincent de Paul, Carndonagh c/o any family member or Kelly’s Funeral Directors. Family time please from 9pm to 11am.

Nellie Boyle, Arranmore Island and Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Nellie (Mary Ann) Boyle, Ballintra, Arranmore Island.

She died peacefully at the home of her daughter Margaret (McGarrigle), 29 Assaroe View, Ballyshannon.

Predeceased by her husband Frank and son Seamus. Dearly loved and sadly missed by her son John and daughter Margaret, grandchildren Sean, Martin, James, Aaron, Jamie, Alannah and Matthew, daughters-in-law Caroline and Gemma, son-in-law Marty, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Nellie will make her final crossing to the island on Friday, November 22 on the 12 45pm blue ferry.

Reposing at the family home in Ballintra until 11pm and on Saturday from 12 noon to 11pm. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

House is private please outside of these times.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday morning at 11am in St Crone’s Church, Arranmore.

Betty Pitcher, Inver

The death has occurred of Betty Pitcher, Walsall, England and formerly Cranny Lower, Inver.

Ms Pitcher passed away on Thursday, August 8.

Pre-deceased by her husband Ray (Roy) and son Paul.

Sadly missed by her sons Mark, Colin and Charles and their extended families.

Ashes to return to Inver for interment in St Naul’s Cemetery, Ardaghey, on Sunday, November 24 at 2pm
