The peaceful death has taken place of PJ Rooney, Laghey Waste, Tullywee, Laghey.
He left this world in the wonderful care of the staff of Donegal Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, January 10.
PJ is predeceased by his parents, Felix and Nellie, his nephew Bobby and his son-in-law, Mark.
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Patricia, a devoted father to Padraig (Lindsay), Elaine (Brian), Marie, Sean (Laura), Conall (Lauren) and Patrice (Pauric) and a cherished granda to Adam, Sadhbh, Sophia, Se, Daimhin, Roise, Cora, Matthew and Felix.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Bernie (and her husband Eddie), Eileen and Noleen, his brother-in-law Seamus, sisters-in-law Sophia and Margaret, as well as his many nephews, nieces, extended family and members of his Laghey Waste family.
PJ’s remains are reposing at his family home with removal on Monday at 10.15am going to St. Brigid’s Church, Ballintra for 11am funeral Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Clare Breslin, Buncrana
The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Clare Breslin, St. Oran’s Drive, Buncrana
Predeceased by her son Paul, sisters Mary, Madeline and Sheila.
Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her sisters Olivia and Joan, her daughter-in-law Ita, grandchildren Pierce, Rhys and Alannah. extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her late residence on Sunday from 10.30am to 5.15pm followed by removal to St. Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana arriving at 5.30pm to repose overnight.
Requiem Mass at 10am on Monday morning, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cockhill.

The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of Mary Rosaleen Canning, Old Road, Ballymacarry Lower, Buncrana.
Predeceased by her loving husband Jim.
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving sons and daughter Peter, Seamus and Anna Clare Allalouf, née Canning, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, extended family and friends.
Reposing at her home from 11am on Sunday where you are all welcome to pay your respects.
Removal from there on Tuesday at 10.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

John Donovan, Gaoth Dobhair and Dublin
John Donovan of Meenacuing, Gaoth Dobhair and formerly of Cabra in Dublin died peacefully at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin after a short illness on Friday, January 10.
Predeceased by his wife Sadie and son Mark and sister Maureen.
Sadly missed by his sons, Bryan and Sean, his daughters-in-law, Karen Murphy and Karen Henwood, his grandchildren, Malachy, Dearbhla and Ruadhan, his brother Paddy, sister-in-law Ann, his relatives, friends and old colleagues from the ESB in Gaoth Dobhair.
His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) between 2pm and 8pm on Sunday, January 12, with the Rosary at 8pm.
His funeral Mass will be held in Teach Pobail Cholmcille, Cnoc Fola on Monday at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The sudden death has occurred at her late residence of Maree Donnelly, Drumdoit, Castlefinn.
Beloved wife of the late Sean Donnelly, much loved sister of Anna and Rita, and sister-in-law of Sam.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, and wider family circle.
Reposing at her late residence on Saturday from 6pm until 10pm and on Sunday from 12 noon until 10pm.
Funeral leaving from her late residence on Monday at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Donnyloop at 11am.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

The death occurred on Christmas Day of Carl Ryan, Buncrana and formerly Ballyfermot, Dublin.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Teresa and his brother Arthur.
Carl will be very sadly missed by his loving partner Jackie, sons Carl and Dean, daughters Lisa, Shannon, Linda, Sandra, Lynn and Jodie, daughter-in-law Trisha, sons-in-law Mark and Eric, his adored grandchildren, brother Darren, sister Anna, Gina and Sylvia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Carl will repose in Stafford’s Funeral Home, Ballyfermot on Tuesday, January 14 from 2pm to 4pm.
Funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 1pm in Stafford’s Funeral Home followed by a burial at Palmerstown Cemetery.
Celine Mearns, Ardara
The death has taken place at her residence of Celine Mearns (The Saddler), Rose Cottage, Wood Road, Drumbarron, Ardara.
Deeply regretted by her son Jason. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.
Her remains will be reposing at St Shanaghan House on Saturday from 2pm to 6pm followed by removal to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara arriving at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
