Pat McDaid,  Manorcunningham

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday 29th August 2024 of Pat McDaid, 24 Abbey Park, Manorcunningham, F92 KP92.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Lorraine, sisters Annemarie and Maureen, brothers Hugh, William and Barry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Pat is predeceased by his parents Mary and Pat, brothers Sean, Christopher and Michael and his sister Audrey.

Pat’s remains will repose at his late residence on Saturday, 31st August, and Sunday, 1st September, from 2pm until 10pm.

Funeral from there on Monday, 2nd September, at 10.15am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/newtowncunningham.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael McAndrews, Pettigo

The death has occurred of Michael McAndrews, Drumharriff, Pettigo, Co.Donegal. Michael died peacefully on 29th August in St. Phelim’s Nursing Home, Drumahair surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents, sisters Kathleen and Mary, brothers John, Paddy and daughter-in-law Julie. Deeply missed by his loving wife Kathleen, sons Michael, Dermot (Helene), daughter Linda (Eamonn) and heartbroken grandchildren Luke, Jack, Eimear, Aoife, Aoibhinn and India. Remembered fondly by his brothers Collie and Frank, sister Bridie and his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Reposing in St. Mary’s Church, Pettigo from 5.00 pm – 7.00pm on Sunday evening. Family home private please. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.00 am with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Roy Davison, Malin

The peaceful death has taken place at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Roy Davison, Glentoskert, Glengad.

Predeceased by his daughter Melissa. Beloved husband of Liz and much loved father of Amanda, Andrew and Kelli.

A devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren, Roy, Annie, Thomas, Lee, Jack, Andrew and Laura. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sister Arlene, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Roy’s remains left Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh yesterday going to his home.

Funeral from there on Sunday at 2.15pm for 3pm Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Lagg, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time from 10pm to 11am.

Packie Doherty (Packie in Eugenes), Leiter, Culdaff

The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Packie Doherty (Packie in Eugenes), Leiter, Culdaff.

Beloved brother of Kathleen Boyle, Quigley’s Point and cherished son of the late Eugene and Annie Doherty. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Anne, Denis, Henry, Nan, Michael and Eugene.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Packie’s remains will repose at the home of his sister, Kathleen Boyle, Quigley’s Point where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Sunday at 9.30am for 10.30am Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Aughaclay, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 11am.

Michael Joseph Gallagher, Downings

The death has taken place at his late residence surrounded by his loving family of Michael Joseph Gallagher, Gortnaluchoge, Downings.

He is predeceased by his wife Kathleen (2017), and survived by his daughter Maureen Carr (Michael), sons Brian (Eileen), Paul (Noelle), Michael, daughter Kathleen Herraghty (Michael), and son Sean.

His remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there today going to the Church of St. John the Baptist, Carrigart for requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 11am.

Plunkett Duffy, Fahan

The death has occurred of Plunkett Duffy, Lisfannon, Fahan.

He passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday.

Predeceased by his parents Philip and Mary-Ellen, his brothers George, Jimmy and his sisters Margaret and Jean.

Plunkett will be sadly missed by his brothers Pat, Liam, Francis, his sister Mary Kemmy, brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, wider family circle and large circle of friends.

Removal is today at 10.15am to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Family time please on the morning of the Funeral.

Elizabeth Cave, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Cave (née Coburn), St Ernan’s, Donegal Town.

Ms Cave passed away on Wednesday.

Treasured mother of Sarah (Bob), Vera (Mike), Rachel (Tony) and Richard (Louise).

Predeceased by her husband Stephen and brother John.

Deeply missed by her sisters Marion Burgess and Eleanor Hort and brother James Coburn, nieces and nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Funeral service in Donegal Town Church of Ireland at 11am today, followed by burial in the Glebe Cemetery.
