The death has occurred of Hugh McGeady, Loughnagin Heights, Letterkenny.

Mr McGeady passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, November 1.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Carmel, sons Rogan and his partner Eli and Ryan and his wife Anne, sister Bernadette and husband Cathal and their sons Lorcan and Cian (Gweedore), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and extended family, friends and neighbours Letterkenny, Gweedore and Glasgow.

Hugh is predeceased by his parents Teresa ‘Tim’ and Jimmy (Ard na gCeapairi, Derrybeg).

Hugh’s remains will repose at The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny F92 XE35 on Monday, November 4 from 5pm until 7pm followed by removal to his late residence. House private to family and close friends only please.

Funeral from there on Wednesday, November 6 at 10.30am going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657 followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Paramedic Section at Letterkenny Ambulance Station c/o any family member.

Trevor Logue, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Trevor Logue, Crieve, Letterkenny.

Mr Logue passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Saturday, November 2.

Deeply missed by his loving mother Frances, sister Jean and husband Gordon Peoples (Wood Road, Cullion), brother Alistair and wife Karen (Crieve, Letterkenny), nephews David, Evan and Adam, niece Laura and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Trevor is predeceased by his father William (2008).

Trevor’s remains are reposing at his late residence.

House private to family, close friends and neighbours please.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, November 5 at 12.15pm going to Conwal Parish Church, Letterkenny for 1pm Service of Thanksgiving with interment afterwards in Gortlee Cemetery.

Kathleen Gallagher, Glenties and Mayo

The death has occurred of Kathleen Gallagher (née Peyton), Tullynaglaggin and Main Street, Glenties, F94 XK5 and formerly of Attymass, Co Mayo.

Ms Gallagher passed away at Letterkenny Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 3.

Predeceased by her loving husband Peter in 2016.

Much loved mother of Maureen (John), Geraldine (Tom), Peter (Margaret), Josephine (Owen) Elaine (Danny), FIdelma (Jimmy).
A devoted grandmother to her grandchildren Josephine, Declan, Tommy, Kevin, Fidelma, Pete, Michelle, John, Stephen, Sinead, Aoife, Fionnuala, Eoghan and Sarah and great grandchildren Róisín, Kyle, Jack, Nathan, Sarah-Jane, Cullen, Peter, Faye, Torbjørn and Elenor.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by sisters Bridget Holland and Geraldine Campeau, Canada, her nieces, nephews and wider family circle and dear friends.

Ms Gallagher’s remains will repose at her late residence on Monday morning from 11am until 10pm and on Tuesday from 11am until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Attracta Whoriskey, Derry and Gweedore

The death has occurred of Attracta Whoriskey (née Coyle), Derry and formerly Gweedore.

Ms Whoriskey passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on Friday, November 1.

Loving mother of Joseph, Elaine, Shaun and Sinead, mother-in-law of Jacqueline, Patrick, Sam and Ryan, devoted grandmother of Donnacha, Emmet, Maeve, Hannah, Oscar and Evelyn and dear sister of Joanne and the late Angela and Billy. Deeply regretted by all her extended family and friends.

Funeral from her home on Monday at 9.30 am for 10 am Requiem Mass in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty.

Interment afterwards in the City cemetery.

Bridget Quinn, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Bridget Quinn, Mullins, Knather Road, Ballyshannon.

Ms Quinn passed away peacefully at North West Hospice in Sligo surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 2.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret McCafferty, sisters Ann, Eilish and brother Patrick.

Ms Quinn will be sadly missed by her husband Patsy, son Kevin (Margaret) and daughter Patricia, sister Stella Shields and all extended family and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Monday from 12pm to 8pm.

Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon for 11am funeral Mass, followed by burial afterward in The Abbey Cemetery.

House private on the morning of funeral please.

Aidan Doherty, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Aidan Doherty, Edenmore, Ballybofey.

Mr Doherty, retired teacher at Stranorlar Vocational School, passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 1.

Beloved husband of Noreen and much loved brother of John and the late Kathleen (Kelly), Bridget (Matthews), Nuala (Grant), Agatha (Stewart), Liam, Paddy and Michael.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his wife, brother, brothers in law Des, Harry, sisters in law Lisa, Teish, nephews, nieces, extended family neighbours and very many friends.

Removal from his late residence on Monday, November 4 at 11.20 am for Requiem Mass in St.Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill, at 12 pm with interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

Martin Cassidy, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Martin Cassidy, Trillick, Buncrana.

Mr Cassidy passed away in Buncrana Community Hospital on Saturday, November 2.

Son of the late Edward and Sarah Cassidy, brother of  Tony, John, Eileen (Shaw), Seamus, Susie (McCoy), Sheila (Grimes), Denis, Noel and the late Eamonn.

Sadly missed by his sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, family circle and friends.

Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Oratory at 10am on Monday, November 4 with burial afterwards in Cockhill cemetery.

Nora Breslin, Lifford

The death has occurred of Nora Breslin (née Donnelly), Gortin North, Ballindrait, Lifford.

Ms Breslin passed away on Friday, November 1.

Lovingly missed by her sons John and Brian, daughter Anne, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all her extended family and friends.

Ms Breslin was predeceased by her husband Connie.

Funeral from her late residence on Monday morning, November 4 at 11.30am going to St Patrick’s Church, Murlog for 12pm Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
