The death has occurred at his late residence of PJ Murray, Meenagoland, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Predeceased by his parents Barney and Bridget, and his brothers Benny and PJ, much loved brother of Seamus (Kathleen), and Bridget.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his brother, sister, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the home of his brother Seamus Murray, Carrickmagrath, Ballybofey, F93 KHP4, this evening from 6pm to 9pm and on Tuesday, February 17 from 12 noon to 9 pm.

Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, February 18 at 10.30pm for requiem Mass at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill.

Interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Jim Martin, Laghey

The death has occurred of Jim Martin, Carrack Bar, Laghey.

Mr Martin passed away peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home, Mullinasole on Sunday, February 15.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Evelyn.

Son of Daniel and Mary.

Brother of Mary, Peter, Sean and Donald (deceased).

Brother of Gabriel (Teresa), Manchester.

Much loved father of Tracy (Vincent), John (Francis) and Gerard (Caroline).

Devoted grandfather of Sarah, Luke, Ruth and Keiva.

Special family friend Teresa.

Jim will be dearly and lovingly remembered, and sorely missed, by his brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, the Horan family, neighbours and many friends.

Jim’s remains will repose in Aras Mhic Shuibhne Nursing Home today from 4 pm until 7 pm (strictly please).

Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock in St Brigid’s Church Ballintra followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Josephine (Josie) Chambers, Ballybofey and Lifford

The death has occurred of Josephine (Josie) Chambers (née Porter), 2 Sessiagh View, Donegal Road, Ballybofey and formerly Lifford.

Ms Chambers passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 14.

Beloved mother of Elaine (Matt), Donna (Late Terence), Mark, Michael and the late baby Garry.

Loving nannie of Michaela, Garry, Mark, Joe and the late baby Elaine and baby Keelan.

Devoted wife of Michael, dearest sister of Robbie Porter and the late Mena Browne and infant Lenny.

Josephine’s remains will be reposing at her late home 2, Sessiagh View, Donegal Road, Ballybofey F93 F4E1 this afternoon from 12 o’clock (noon).

Funeral leaving her late home on Wednesday, February 18 at 10.20 am (via Ard Mc Cool) for requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11 o’clock.

Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.

Kathleen Breslin, Ardara

The death has occurred of Kathleen Breslin, Lower Monargan, Ardara.

Ms Breslin passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital after a short illness and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 15.

Predeceased by her husband John Neil and sons Joe and Oliver.

Deeply regretted by her daughter Caroline (Joe MacHugh), son Paddy (Ann), daughters-in-law Ann and Mary, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother Paddy, sister Ethna McLoone, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at McCabe’s Funeral Home, Common, Ardara, F94 VCK1 today from 2pm until 9pm.

Funeral Mass in Church of The Holy Family, Ardara on Tuesday, February 17 at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

House private please.

Annie Curran, St Johnston

The death has occurred of Annie Curran (née Brown), Trensallagh, St Johnston.

Annie will be lovingly missed by her daughters and sons Christina, Bernie (Brian), Damien (Rosina), Liam (Catherine), Paul (Jeanette), Siobhan (Noel), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, and all her extended family and friends.

Annie is predeceased by her husband Joe, parents Mary and Andy Brown, grandson Jordan, great-grandchildren Martin and Michael, her brother James Henderson.

Annie is reposing at her late residence today.

Funeral from her late residence on Tuesday morning, February 17 at 10.30am, travelling to St. Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 11am requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Bernard Conaghan, Killybegs

Bernard Conaghan, February 14, Church Road, Killybegs, passed away peacefully in Sligo Hospital.

Reunited in heaven with his loving parents Packie and Catherine, brother Patsy, brother-in-law John, Frankie and Derek and sister-in-law Maria.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Susie, children Brian, Gary, Sue-Ann and Noreen.

Also sadly missed by his siblings Mary (Jimmy), Michael (Marion), Patricia, Angela, and Susanna, sons-in-law Chris and Pauric, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Debbie, grandchildren, extended family and many kind friends.

Remains reposing at McBrearty’s Funeral Home, Killybegs this afternoon from 3pm to 6pm followed by removal to his residence for family and friends.

Removal on Tuesday, February 17 to St Mary of the Visitation Church Killybegs for 11am funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Beryl Doherty, Malin Head

The death has occurred of Beryl Doherty (née King), Seaview Cottage, Slievebawn, Malin Head, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Benny and her son Mark (Debbie).

Much loved mother of Caroline (Tony) and Katherine (Michael) and cherished grandma of Michelle, Mark, Dale, Rachel, Hugh, Eoghan and Kaitlyn and great-grandma of Ruby, Violet, Sam, Joe, Thomas and Orlagh.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nieces Linda and Christine, close friend Ann, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Beryl’s remains are now reposing at her home (F93 Y2P4), where everyone is welcome to pay their respects.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, February 17, at 3pm for 3.30pm requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Lagg, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 9pm to 11am.

Paddy (Sean) Doherty, Gleneely 

The death has occurred of Paddy Doherty (Sean) Tulmore, Gleneely, peacefully at Carndonagh Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Mary, his daughter Ann and his granddaughter Mary Ann.

Much loved father of Marina, Dolores (Joe) and Bernadette (Gary) and devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Paddy’s remains are reposing at Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh F93 E4FN today from 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm, where everyone is welcome to pay their respects.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, February 17 at 10.20am for 11am requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Bocan, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place at his home of Eamonn Doohan, Meenlaragh, Gortahork.

Predeceased by his mother-in-law Máire Joe Diver.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Deirdre, daughters; Shauna (Aidan) and Shannon, son Tomás, parents; Tom Rua and Kathleen, father-in-law John Diver, granddaughter Aoibhínn, sisters Mary (Ronan), Marjorie (Donal) and Katie (Danny), brother John, in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Eamonn’s funeral Mass will take place this afternoon at 1pm in Teach Pobail Chríost Rí, Gortahork, burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Edward (Eddie) Lynch, Linsfort, Buncrana

The death has occurred in Luton, Bedfordshire of Edward (Eddie) Lynch, formerly of Menaloobin, Linsfort, Buncrana.

Predeceased by his parents John and Sarah and his brother John.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wider family circle and friends.

Eddie’s remains will arrive at Star of the Sea Church, Desertegney this evening, February 16 at 5.30pm for Prayers of Reception.

Reposing overnight followed by requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am.

Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

William Gibson, Gleneely

The peaceful death has occurred at his home of William Gibson, Dristernan, Gleneely.

Predeceased by his brothers Alexander, Ernest and Albert and his sister Eileen. Dear brother of Norman, Samuel, Elsie, and Honor.

William is deeply regretted and will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, his extended family, friends and neighbours.

William’s remains are reposing in his home this evening. Please note the wake house is private to family and close friends.

Removal from there this afternoon, February 16 at 12.50pm going to Glacknadrummond Methodist Church, where a funeral service will take place at 1.30pm followed by burial afterwards in the All-Saints Graveyard, Gleneely.

Jean Melly, Ardara

The peaceful death has occurred of Jean Melly (nee Godman) Tullycleave, Ardara, Co. Donegal, at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary Godman.

Jean will be greatly missed by her loving husband Josie, her sons Ian and Paul (Sarah), her daughter-in-law Nonie, her grandson Joe, her sister Patsy, her brother Arthur, her extended family and friends.

Funeral from her late residence this morning at 11.30am to the Church of The Holy Family Ardara for 12 noon requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Susan McGrath, Pettigo

Susan McGrath (née Morris) passed away Friday February 13, peacefully at Barnes View Ward, St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Stranorlar.

Formerly of Grouselodge, Pettigo.

​Predeceased by her late husband Packie.

Much loved mother of John James (Rose) Lettercran, Bernie (Martin) Drumskinney, Dympna (Stephen) Letterkenny, Kieran (Eileen) Glenfin, Declan (Maura) Cashelenny and stepson Denis (England).

The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses, and staff of Barnes View for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Susan.

​Funeral from her late residence this morning at 10.30am, arriving at St Joseph’s Church, Lettercran (F94 Y642), for 11am requiem Mass, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The peaceful death has occurred of Margaret Gillespie (neé Corrigan) of Kings Cross, London. Formerly of Achill, Co Mayo.

Predeceased by her loving husband Charles, late of Cashlings, Kilcar.

Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, nieces in law and nephews in law and her extended family and friends in Ireland and England

Margaret’s remains will arrive to St Cartha’s Church, Kilcar this evening at 7pm to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday, February 17 at 12noon followed by burial in the local cemetery.
