Andy McCallion, Muff

The death has occurred of Andy McCallion, Iskaheen, Muff, Co. Donegal, on December 7, peacefully at the Donegal Hospice.

Predeceased by his wife Mary and sadly missed by his son Seamus (Rosemary), his daughters Mary and Kathleen (Jonathan) and grandchildren Mollie, Jack, Ciaran, Aine, Andrea, Patrick and great-grandchildren India, Ionah and Arlo.

Funeral from the home of his son Seamus (Iskaheen, Muff, F93 F9C9) on Tuesday, December 9 at 10.30 am for 11am requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Iskaheen, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time 10pm to 10am and on the morning of the funeral, please.

Maxi McCreary, Killygordon

The death has occurred of Maxi McCreary, Glebe House, Ballinacor, Killygordon.

Mr McCreary passed away at Brindley Manor Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 6.

He is predeceased by his parents Kathleen and William, son Wesley, brother Derek and brother-in-law Tom. Maxi will be deeply missed by his loving wife Louise, sons Darren (Lorraine), Brian, daughter Maxine (John).

Much loved granda of Caitlín, Sophie, Josh, James and Ben.

Sadly missed by his sisters Muriel (Jimmy), Frankie, Wendy (Robert), sister-in-law Anne (Peter) and their daughter Kerry, the wider family circle, all Topline McCreary staff and his many friends.

His remains will repose at his late residence on Monday, December 8 until 10pm.

Funeral leaving from his home on Tuesday, December 9 at 1.30pm going to Donoughmore Presbyterian Church, Liscooley for 2pm Service of Thanksgiving, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

The house is private to family only please today Sunday, December 7 and on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland, care of Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Michael McGarvey, Annagry and Gweedore

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Michael Mc Garvey, Ranamona, Annagry and formerly of Meenaniller, Gweedore.

Predeceased by his parents; Mary and Owenie Mc Garvey, brothers; Anthony, Patrick, Hughie, Joe, Owenie and baby John Raymond.

Sadly missed by his wife Máire, daughters; Mary (Gerrard), Marjory (Dinny), Anne Marie (David) & Frances (Shaun), sons; Michael (Leah) and Owen (Michelle), sisters; Frances, Sadie and MaryAnn, brother Willie, 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

House private on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 8 in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry at 1pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamonn (Eddie) McCafferty

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eamonn (Eddie) McCafferty, a much-loved husband, father, granda, and brother.

Eamonn’s remains will be received into St Gabriel’s Parish, 83 Merrylee Road, Glasgow, on Thursday, December 11 at 5pm.

The funeral Mass will take place at St Gabriel’s on Friday, December 12 at 10am, followed by burial at Linn Cemetery at 11.15am.

A memorial service will be held in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton, Co Donegal, at 11am on Sunday, January 18.

Maura Ronan, Wicklow and Ballintra

The death has occurred of Maura Ronan (née O’Boyle), kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow and formerly of Ballintra, Co Donegal.

Ms Ronan passed away peacefully in the tender and exceptional care of St Joseph’s Nursing Home on Thursday, December 4.

Deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of over 62 years and best friend Michael, her loving sister Frances, and her many and much loved nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her loving parents, Joseph and Doreen, sisters, Dorothy and Cabrini, and brothers, Sean and Joseph.

A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service will take place at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, A98 PX65 on Monday, December 8 at 12.30pm, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, D6W HY98.

No flowers please.

Frank Porter, Cork and Redcastle

The death has occurred of Frank Porter, Fergus, Dripsey, Cork and formerly of Redcastle.

Mr Porter passed away peacefully at Beaumont Residential Care on Thursday, December 4.

Frank is the beloved husband of the late Bridget and loving father of Wayne and the late Rachel.

Sadly missed by his son, daughter-in-law Liz, grandchildren Mabel, Freya, James and Lexi, brothers Michael and Paul, sisters Nance, Maura and Nora, extended family, friends and his godson Michael.

Requiem Mass on Monday, December 8 at 11am at St Columba’s Church, Drung, Co Donegal which can be viewed on http://www.stcolumbasdrung.net/index.html .

Funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
