Yvonne MURPHY (née McGettigan) Templetown, Carlingford, Louth / Kilmacrennan

Formerly Kilconnell Glebe, Kilmacrennan. Peacefully, in the dedicated care of the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents William and Sheila. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Harry, son Cormac, sister Deirdre, brothers Eamon, Denis, Liam and Kevin, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at her home (Eircode A91 K726) from 6pm-10pm on Monday, September 23rd and from 1pm on Tuesday, September 24th. Removal on Wednesday, September 25th at 10.20am, to St. James’ Church, Grange, (Eircode A91 V5XT), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sophia Meehan (née Sweeney) Fanaghan, Inver

Peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Denis. She will be forever loved by her daughter Margaret (Ian Stewart), sons Thomas (Teresa) and Martin (Christine) and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, friends & neighbours.

Reposing at her late residence on Monday, 23rd September, from 6pm until 10pm, and on Tuesday, 24th September, from 2pm until 10pm. Rosary both nights at 9pm, House private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal from her late residence on Wednesday, 25th September, going to St. Naul’s Church, Ardaghey, for funeral mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in St. Nauls Cemetery, Ardaghey. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if so desired, to Cancer Care West c/o Gallaghers Funeral Home, Mountcharles or any family member.

 

Joe Hannigan, 608 Killea, Carrigans

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Joe Hannigan, 608 Killea, Carrigans, F93 D3K2

Joe will be lovingly missed by his wife Betty, sons and daughters Rhona, Shane (Aisling), Ricky (Fiona), Steve, Julie (Charlie), grandchildren Davin, Darcy, Rowan, Tiana, Cody, Alana, Erin, Luke, Martin and Cian, his sisters Dolores, Geraldine, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and all his family and friends.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Christina and Willie sister Celine brothers Phoncie and Martin RIP

Deep are the memories, Precious they stay; No passing of time, Will take them away.

Removal from Kelly’s Funeral Home, Oakfield, Raphoe, F93 KP0N at 6pm this evening, Monday 23rd September going to his late residence to repose for wake until 11pm and wake tomorrow, Tuesday 24th September from 11am to 11pm

Funeral cortege leaving his late residence on Wednesday morning, 25th September at 10.20am going to All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham for 11 o’clock requiem mass with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Robert Jenkins, Mondooey, Manorcunningham

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University hospital of Robert Jenkins, Mondooey, Manorcunningham.
Much loved brother of Sally and May. Very deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and entire family circle.
No wake, house is private please at the request of the deceased.
A service of thanksgiving for Robert’s life will be held in Raphoe Presbyterian Church on Wednesday 25th September at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.
Everyone is welcome to join the family for the Service and the Burial.

Hugh Mc Cahill, Church Street, Ramelton

The peaceful death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family of Hugh Mc Cahill, Church Street, Ramelton.

Deeply regretted by his family, Seamus, Aodhán, Seán and Sorcha, brother Jim, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the residence of his brother Jim and Teresa Mc Cahill, Church Street, Ramelton, F92 XP92, today, Monday September 23rd from 5pm until 10am and tomorrow, Tuesday September 24th  from 11am until 6 30pm. Removal from there at 6 30pm going to St Mary’s Church, Ramelton for prayers at 7pm and to repose overnight. Requiem mass on Wednesday September 25th at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Shelia O’Donnell, Dublin and Dungloe

The death has occurred of Sheila O’Donnell (née Gallagher), Finglas, Dublin and formerly of Tully, Dungloe.

Ms O’Donnell passed away in The Mater Hospital on Saturday, September 14.

Sadly missed by her husband Owen, sons Paul and Turlough and daughter Aisling, daughter-in-law Andrea and her beloved grandchildren Grace, Katie and Carla, her brother Willie, sisters Winnie, Breige, Róise, Margaret and Ann.

Predeceased by her parents Johnny William and Bridget Gallagher, sisters Maire and Nellie and brothers Danny, Jamesie, Dinny and John.

Her remains will repose in McGlynn’s Funeral Home Dungloe on Monday, September 23 from 5pm, with Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Tuesday, September 24 to Sheskinarone (F94 D3T9) for wake from 1pm, with Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 25 at 11am in St. Crona’s Church, Dungloe with interment in Maghery Cemetery.

John McNulty, Mayo and Killygordon

The death has occurred of John McNulty, Chapel Street, Belmullet, Mayo and formerly Killygordon.

Mr McNulty passed away peacefully after a short illness at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 21.

Predeceased by his sons Michael and Ian, brother Barney and sister Breege.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Anna, his children Rosaleen, Desmond, Eileen, Derek and Anita, his loving grandchildren, his sons in law, daughter in law, brothers Andy (Belmullet), James Donegal), his sisters Kathleen and Ann (Donegal), brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing at his residence (F26 W2 97) on Monday, September 23 from 3pm until 8pm.
House private at all other times please
Funeral will arrive to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet on Tuesday, September 24 for mass at 1pm.
Burial afterwards in Emlybeg Cemetery.

Grace Harkin, Falcarragh

The death has occurred of Grace Harkin (née Doogan), Upper Shroughan, Falcarragh.

Ms Harkin passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, September 22.

Predeceased by her husband; Micheál Rua, sisters; Annie, Mary, Margaret and Teresa and brothers; Danny, Johnny and infant brother.

Sadly missed by her daughters; Cathy, Margaret and Ann, sons; Paul and Michael, in-laws; Neil, John, Denis, Moira and Emer and her beloved grandchildren.

Her remains will repose at her home on Tuesday, September 24 from 2pm and on Wednesday from 11am.

Rosary both nights at 8pm.

House private after the rosary and on the morning of the Funeral.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 26 at 11am in Christ the King Church, Gortahork with interment afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Isobelle Hammant, Creeslough and Belfast

The death has occurred of Isobelle Hammant, Magherablade, Creeslough and formerly Belfast.

Ms Hammant passed away on Saturday, September 21.

Beloved wife of the late Stanley Hammant, loving mother to daughters Sharon, Brenda and Natasha and son Quentin.

Caring and dearly missed granny to Sean, Jenny, Ella, Alfy, Zoe and Bodhi. Forever remembered by all her sisters, brothers, son in laws and daughter in law, extended family and friends.

Loved and remembered every day.

No wake, house private.

Memorial Service at the family home, F92A064, on Wednesday, September 25, at 1pm with burial afterwards in Doe Cemetery.

Samuel George Black, Convoy

The death has occurred of Samuel George (Sammy) Black, Cloughgore, Convoy.

Mr Black passed away at Brindly Manor Nursing Home on Sunday, September 22.

Predeceased by his wife Pearl and brother Roy.

Beloved father of John (Fiona), Jacqueline (Jonathan), Stuart (Lorraine), Brian (Edel) and Elaine.

Sammy will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and wider family circle.

His remains are reposing at his home.

Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, September 24 at 1.30 pm for 2pm Funeral service in Convoy Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Teresa Mulkern, New York and Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of Teresa Mulkern (née McNelis), New York and formerly Ballard, Glencolmcille.

Ms Mulkern passed away in New York on Tuesday, September 17.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick (2011).

Will be sadly missed by Kevin, Rita (Maurice, Co Limerick) Patrick (Sinead, Co Donegal), Brian and Geraldine (Ciarán, NY). As well as her adoring grandchildren; Ciara, Áine, Sean, Aidan, Dylan, Cian, Caitlin, Ellen and her loving sister Rita McGinley, Malinbeg.

Arriving at Shannon Airport on Tuesday morning, September 24, travelling to St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille, to arrive for 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Bridie McMenamin, New York and Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Bridie McMenamin, Queens, New York and formerly of Corraine, Ballybofey.

Ms McMenamin, who was in her 94th year, passed away on Tuesday, September 17.

Beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Mc Menamin, cherished sister of Rose Morrissey, Castlepollard, and the late Cassie, Josephine, Frances, Dan, Willie, Agnes, Packie, Madeline, Frankie, Mick, and Tom.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving sister, sister in law Mary Mc Menamin, Ballinaglack, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey on Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25 from 5pm to rosary at 9pm.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, September 26 at 10.20 am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin at 11am Interment afterwards in Kilteevogue cemetery.

Gerard McLaughlin, Galway and Carndonagh

The death has occurred of Gerard McLaughlin, Dangan, Bushypark, Galway and Carndonagh.

Mr McLaughlin passed away with his beloved family by his side on Friday, September 20.

Deeply loved and mourned by his wife Patricia, sons Andrew and Brian, daughter-in-law Alma, cherished grandchildren Ava and Sam, brother Terence and sisters Mary, Rita and Siobhán.

Fondly remembered also by their families, the extended O’Malley and McLaughlin family and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Monday, September 23 from 5.30 pm to 7 pm.

Removal to St. James’ Church, Bushy Park on Tuesday, September 24 in advance of Requiem Mass therein at 11 am.

Following Mass Gerard will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
