Joe O’Hagan, Buncrana

The death has taken place in the Donegal Hospice of Joe O Hagan, Meenalooban, Linsfort, Buncrana.

Deeply saddened by his passing are his son Eamonn, daughter Marion, daughters-in-law Sherron and Joanne; son-in-law Gary, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sisters Bridget and Dolores; nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

Joe was predeceased by his son Joseph and brothers Pat, John, Colm, Eddie and Eugene.

Joe’s remains will be reposing at his late residence from 11am tomorrow (Tuesday)  where everyone is welcome to pay their respects.

Funeral from there on Wednesday at 10.15am going to Star of the Sea Church, Desertegney for 11am Requiem Mass with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Richard Shannon Bonner, Convoy

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Richard Bonner known as Shannon, of Calhame, Convoy. 

His remains will repose at Terence McClintock’s Funeral Home Ballyboe, Convoy  where you are welcome to pay your respects from 5pm to 9pm this evening (Monday).

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Shannon will take place in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2pm followed by burial in Gortlee Cemetery, Letterkenny at approximately 3pm.

Shannon will be greatly missed by his friends and family. 

Danny Diver, Falcarragh

The death has occurred in the Donegal Hospice of Dinny Diver, Ballyness, Falcarragh and formerly of Ballindrait, Bunbeg.

Predeceased by his parents Bridget and Ned, his sisters Sadie, Margaret, Bridie and Mary, his brothers Owenie, Paddy, Dermot and Charlie. 

Survived by his wife Bella, his daughter Denise, son-in-law Emmett, niece Marie Diver (Gaoth Dobhair), nieces, nephews and a circle of family and friends.

His remains arel reposing at his home in Ballyness, Falcarragh today (Monday)  until 9pm with Rosary at 9pm.

Removal from there tomorrow (Tuesday) for 11am requiem Mass in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh with burial afterwards in Gortahork Cemetery.

Stella Quinn, Glenties

The death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice of Stella Quinn, Mullantyboyle, Glenties. 

Predeceased by her loving son Kevin. Sadly missed and forever loved by her daughter Amanda and son-in-law Noel, siblings Yvonne (Eamonn), Enda (Angela), Hugh (Kate), Alec (Kathleen), Bernie, Angela (Christy), Caroline (Gerald), Irene (Colin), nieces, nephew, extended family, neighbours and friends. 

Stella’s remains will repose at her late residence from 6pm until 10pm this evening (Monday) and Tuesday from 10am until 10pm. 

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Hubert Reynolds, 6 Coastguard Station, Greencastle

The peaceful death has taken place at his home of Hubert Reynolds, 6 Coastguard Station, Greencastle.

Beloved husband of Annie and much loved father of Elaine (Jay), Mark (Breedge) and Patricia (Hubert).

A devoted grandfather to all his grandchildren, Beth, Harvey, Ethan, Makayla, Molly, Alex, Ryan and Corey.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Hubert’s remains are reposing at his home where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Wednesday at 10.30am for 11pm Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack, followed by interment in Ballybrack graveyard. 

Family time from 10pm to 11am.

P.J. Stevenson, Glencar Road, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of P. J. Stevenson, Glencar Road, Letterkenny, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His funeral took place earlier today (Monday) in St. Eunan’s Cathedral  followed by burial in Conwal Cemetery.

Olive Cassidy, Newtown Mews, Tramore, Waterford / Bundoran.

The death has taken place of Olive Cassidy, late of Newtown Mews, Tramore, Co. Waterford, formerly of Bundoran.

Olive passed peacefully in Killure Bridge Nursing Home, surrounded by her family on Saturday.

Olive will be sadly missed by her sister Rosemary and her brothers James and John; all her nieces and nephews, her extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Olive will be reposing at Falconer’s Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, on Wednesday, September 4, from 10am and concluding with a blessing at 11.30am before departing at 12 noon for a private Cremation Service.

Mass cards can be posted to Falconers Funeral Directors, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford.​

 

Mary Connaghan, Churchill

The death has occurred in Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family of Mary Connaghan (née Gallagher), formerly of Ballybolother, Trentagh, Churchill.

Predeceased by her husband Hughie, parents Mamie and Harry, her sister Kathleen Flanagan and grand-daughter Shauna Connaghan.

Beloved mother of Bridie Murray (Eamonn), Kate McGinley (Eugene), John Connaghan (Trés), Marie McDaid (Dan), Hugo Connaghan (Fiona) and Kevin Connaghan.

Deeply regretted by her brother Danny Gallagher, sisters-in-law Mary and Catherine Doohan. Forever loved by her 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, wider circle of neighbours and friends.

Mary’s remains will be reposing at her daughter Marie and Dan McDaid’s home in Doon, Glebe, Newmills, from Thursday, September 5 from 10am – 10pm. Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday, September 6 in St. Columba’s Church, Glenswilly, at 11am with interment afterwards in the family plot in Gartan Cemetery.

Edward (Eddie) Ferry, Rathmullan

The death has taken place, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Edward (Eddie) Ferry,  Oughterlin, Rathmullan.

Sadly missed by his loving family, sons James, Eamonn, John and Martin, daughters-in-law Pamela, Pauline and Eileen, grandchildren, sister Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, brother John, sisters Margaret and Hannah.

Requiem Mass took place earlier this morning (Monday)  in St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan with burial afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery. 

Mary Logue, Kilmacrennan

The death occurred on Friday in Letterkenny University Hospital of Mary Logue,  5 Chapel View, Kilmacrennan.

Predeceased by her mother Susan. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons Matthew and Patrick, daughter Shauna, father Michael, sisters Brigid (Marcus) and Michelle (Liam), brothers JP (Kelly) and James, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass took place today (Monday)  in St Columba’s Church, Kilmacrennan with burial afterwards in Kilmacrennan Cemetery.  

Patricia McBrearty, St. Johnston

The sudden death has occurred of Patricia McBrearty, Church St, St Johnston.

Wife of the late Paddy and loving mother of Brian (Majella), Tina (Ciaran) and Susie (Geoff), adoring grandmother of Cara, Hannah, PJ and Eimear, sister of Anne Strain (Burnfoot) and late Elizabeth Kavanagh (Fahan) and missed by her much loved larger circle of family and friends.

Patricia will be reposing at her late residence Church St, St Johnston, from 7pm this evening (Monday) and all day Tuesday for wake. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral Cortege will be leaving Church St, St Johnston at 10.30am on Wednesday morning, September 4 going to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. 

Brid McLaughlin, Creeslough

The death occurred on Friday at her residence of Brid McLaughlin (née Coyle), Derryherriff, Creeslough.

Beloved wife of John, much loved mother to John (Vienna) and Rosaleen (Patrick). Devoted granny to Jack and Patrick. Deeply regretted by her sisters Gracie and Sheila.

Predeceased by her parents Nellie and Den John and sister Annie.

Funeral Mass took place this morning (Monday) in St. Michael’s Church, Creeslough followed by burial afterwards in Doe Cemetery.  

Dara O’Malley Daly, Ballyshannon

The death took place on Saturday, August 31 of Dara O’Malley Daly, ‘Rosserne’, Abbeylands, Ballyshannon, peacefully at his home, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Dearly cherished and sorely missed by his wife Mairead (née Finn), sons Oisin and Eoin, his mother Mary, sisters and brother, Orla, Sarah and Patrick, as well as his nieces, nephews, and a wide community of extended family and friends.

Celebratory Mass at St Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon took place this morning (Monday),  followed by burial afterwards at the Abbey Cemetery, Ballyshannon.

Pat McDaid,  Manorcunningham

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Thursday of Pat McDaid, 24 Abbey Park, Manorcunningham.

Deeply missed by his loving wife Lorraine, sisters Annemarie and Maureen, brothers Hugh, William and Barry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Pat is predeceased by his parents Mary and Pat, brothers Sean, Christopher and Michael and his sister Audrey.

Funeral took place this morning (Monday) in  All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham.

Michael McAndrews, Pettigo

The death has occurred of Michael McAndrews, Drumharriff, Pettigo.

Michael died peacefully on Thursday in St. Phelim’s Nursing Home, Drumahair surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his parents, sisters Kathleen and Mary, brothers John, Paddy and daughter-in-law Julie. Deeply missed by his loving wife Kathleen, sons Michael, Dermot (Helene), daughter Linda (Eamonn) and heartbroken grandchildren Luke, Jack, Eimear, Aoife, Aoibhinn and India. Remembered fondly by his brothers Collie and Frank, sister Bridie and his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Requiem Mass took place this morning (Monday) with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
