Danny Gallagher, Downings

The sudden death has taken place of Danny Gallagher, the Glebe, Downings.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, Marian, his daughters, Roisin and Sharon, his sons, Seamus, Martin, Paul and Danny, brothers, Ned and Micheal, sisters, AnneMarie and Cait, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest took place on Monday afternoon, going to his late residence.

Funeral from there on Wednesday going to the Church of St. John the Baptist for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 11pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Bríd Bean Uí Ghrianna, Ranafast

The death has taken place at Cornfield Care Home, Limavady of Bríd Bean Uí Ghrianna, Ranafast, Annagry.

Predeceased by her husband, John and daughter, Margaret.

Sadly missed by her daughters, Bridie, Roseanne and Mary, sons, James, John, Kevin and Frankie, sister-in-law, Mary Connor-Smythe, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at the family home in Ranafast, F94 VP38 on Monday from 4pm to 8pm and Tuesday from 11am to 8pm.

Rosary nightly at 8pm.

House private after rosary and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11am in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Annagry. Interment afterwards in the new graveyard.

Mary Ellen Caughlin, Ballyshannon

The death has taken place of Mary Ellen Caughlin (née McConville) Coolcholly, Ballyshannon.

She died peacefully in the loving care of the doctors and nurses of Our Lady’s hospital, Manorhamilton, surrounded by her loving family. 

Predeceased by her parents, Mary and Robert McConville and sister, Antoinette McConville. Dearly loved by her loving husband, Sean and her three children. 

Forever missed by her siblings, cherished grandchildren, Aaron, Amelie, Blake, Cora, Eoin and Killian, great-granddaughter, Sofia, sister-in-law, Bridie, sons-in-law, Martin and Eric, daughter-in-law, Anne, nieces, nephews, extended family, thoughtful neighbours and friends.  

Reposing at McGee’s Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyshannon on Wednesday for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with Service of Interment in Abbey Assaroe Cemetery. 

Donations in lieu of flowers if desired to Our Lady’s Hospital Comfort Fund, Manorhamilton c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon or any family member.

Paul Duffy, Bunbeg

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Paul Duffy, Lower Knockastolar, Bunbeg.

Predeceased by his mother, Nellie, father, Dominic and brothers, William and Francie.

Sadly missed by his wife, Ann, daughter, Elaine, sons, Colin and Paul, sister, Shelagh, son-in-law, Martin, daughter-in-law, Angelique, grandchildren, Caoimhe, Conor, Dominic, Cliodhna, Joseph, Grace, Olivia, Niamh, Luke, Charlie and Oliver and extended family and friends. 

His remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg, F92 on Monday evening from 6pm-8pm and on Tuesday from 3pm-8pm.

Rosary nightly at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg on Wednesday at 1pm with interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

William Morrison, Carndonagh

The death has taken place at Good Hope Hospital, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham of William Morrison, formerly Ballyloskey, Carndonagh

He was the dear brother of Mary and is deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. 

William’s remains will repose at Kelly’s Funeral home, Station Road, Carndonagh from 7pm to 9pm this evening, Monday where all are welcome to pay their respects.

Removal from there tomorrow morning, Tuesday April 1 at 10.40am going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Requiem Mass can be viewed live on the parish webcam.

Cecilia McGonagle, Moville

The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Cecilia McGonagle (née Craig), formerly of Ballynally, Moville.

Much loved mother of Louise, Marie and Paul (Patricia) and a cherished granny of Seán, Matthew, Aimee, Jaydin, Rylan, Pierce, Jake Paul and Ella.

Predeceased by sister Mary and brother Patrick, deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sister Christina and her brothers Hughie and John.

Cecilia’s remains are now reposing at the home of her sister, Christina, 120 St Finian’s Park, Moville (F93 E8HP) where everyone is welcome to pay their respects. Removal from there on Tuesday, April 1 at 11.30am for 12 noon private burial in Ballybrack Cemetery.

Eunice Toland, Clonmany

The peaceful death has occurred at Carndonagh Community Hospital of Eunice Toland, Tornabratley, Clonmany, F93P11F.

Predeceased by her parents Philip, Bridget, brother and twin sisters.

Much loved sister of Bernard (Bridie), Marion, Ellen Anne (Danny), Michael (Rose), Philip (Susie), Patrick (Margaret), sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and the wider family circle.

Her remains are reposing at her home.

Funeral from there on Tuesday morning, April 1 at 10.30am, going to St. Mary’s Church Clonmany for requiem Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Seamus Gillespie, Bruckless

The death has occurred of Seamus Gillespie, Drumaghy, Bruckless.

Mr Gillespie passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 29.

Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, infant son Brian, sisters Rita, Josephine and Kathleen and brother-in-law Patrick.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by his sons Jimmy (Fidelma), Michael (Louise), Jason (Laura), his adored grandchildren Daniel, Darragh, Chloe and Andrea and his extended family, friends and neighbours.

Remains reposing on Monday from 11am to 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 1 at 11am in St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Patrick McCabe, Glenties

The death has occurred of Patrick McCabe, Cornagrillagh, Glenties and Carnalynch, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Former principal of St. Anne’s NS, Maio, Tierworker Co. Meath.

Predeceased by his parents, John and Nan, his infant brother, Anthony and his infant sister, Brigid.

He will be forever loved and sadly missed by his devoted wife, Winnie (née Mimnagh), his children, Deirdre, Grace, John, Mairéad and Úna, son-in-law, Martin, daughter-in-law, Regan and grandson, Páidí; his sisters, Rita and Winnie, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence (F94 CF86), from 10.30am to 3pm on Tuesday where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Family time please before this and on the morning of the funeral.

Removal from his home on Tuesday evening to Holy Family Church, Edeninfagh, F94YA62 arriving at 4pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon which can be viewed on www.memoriallane.ie/livestream followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
