Margaret McBride, Milford

The death has occurred of Margaret McBride (née McLaughlin), Main Street, Milford (F92 K5N4), in her 97th year, peacefully at home.

She was predeceased by her husband, James, and her parents, Margaret and Daniel.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family, Patrick, Danny, Brendan, Margaret, Michael, Anita and John, sister, Celia (Kerr), daughters-in-law, Patrice, Jane, Mairéad, Louise and Paula, sons-in-law, Con and John, her 21 cherished grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ann, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home from 5.30 pm on Monday, July 28, and from 11am on Tuesday, 29. Rosary on Monday and Tuesday at 9 pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 30 at 11am in St Peter’s Church, Milford. Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

Hugh Doherty, Buncrana

The death has occurred of Hugh Doherty (Widow), Gransha, Buncrana.

Hugh is predeceased by his parents, Willie and Mary, and his sisters, Anita and Eileen.

He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving wife, Kathleen, and his family, Rosemary (Hughie), Margaret (Patsy), Bridgeen (Mickey), Sadie (Kevin), his sisters in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and the wider family circle.

Hugh’s remains will be reposing at his late residence today, Monday, from 6pm, where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from his home on Wednesday at 10am going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time 10pm to 12noon.

Bernadette (Bernie) Brogan, Fanad

The death has occurred of Bernadette (Bernie) Brogan (née O’Reilly), Radharc na Maoil Ruaidhe, Tamney, Fanad.

Ms Brogan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Deeply regretted by her partner Patrick (Paddy) Fealty, daughters Diane (Shane) Brown (St. Johnston), Aisling (Jamie) Lord (England), her son John (Maria) Brogan (Carrigans) and her adored grandchildren Madison, Oscar, Sienna, Genevieve, Rhys, Josh and Sophia.

Sadly missed by her brother Patrick O’Reilly (New York), sisters Anne O’Hay (Derry) and Bridget Curren (Derry), Raymond Brogan, Patrick (Tara) Fealty and their son Patrick, Gary (Danielle) Fealty, her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Bernie’s remains will repose at her late residence.

Removal from there at 10.40am on Tuesday, July 29 arriving at St. Columba’s Church, Massmount for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by a private cremation.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired to the Oncology Department at Letterkenny University Hospital, care of any family member or Mc Ateer Funeral Directors.

Bernard (Brian) Carr, Kilcar

The death has occurred of Bernard (Brian) Carr, Cruckcarra, Kilcar.

Mr Carr passed away suddenly but peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Sunday, July 27.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary, brothers Seán, Francis and sister Kathleen.

Sadly missed by his sisters Mary Agnes, Bernadette and Goretti.

Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield (F94 A250) on Monday, July 28 from 5pm-8pm with removal afterwards to his late residence.

Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, July 30 at 12pm in St. Cartha’s Church, Kilcar (F94KA07), followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to The Irish Cancer Society care of any family member or Mc Shane Funeral Directors. 

Anne Smet, Donegal Town and Longford

The death has occurred of Anne Smet (née Doherty), Donegal Town and formerly of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.

Ms Smet, who was born in Granard, Co Longford, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 24.

Beloved wife of René, much loved mother to sons Richard (Beverley), Dean, daughters Deborah, Elaine (Sean), cherished sister of Mary, Susie, Phelim and Christy.

Dearly loved grandmother and great-grandmother.

Predeceased by her parents Marie and Felix, her sisters Maggie and Betty, her brothers Jack, Seamus, Alan and Gerry. Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her husband, children, step-children, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.

Remains reposing at Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town on Monday, July 28 from 2pm to 7pm, family only please from 2pm to 5pm.

House private.

Funeral leaving from Tír Conaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town on Tuesday, July 29 at 10.30am.

Anne’s Requiem Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town at 11am, followed by cremation at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Cavan, at 2.30pm approximately.
