Mary Rose Dullaghan, Newmills

The death had occurred in the Donegal Hospice surrounded by her loving family of Mary Rose (Mosie) Dullaghan (née Kelly), Cashelreagh, Newmills, Letterkenny.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Owney, son Christopher (Claire), daughters Donna (Paul) and Kathy (Martin). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Shane, Katlyn, Addison, Lexie, Sloan, Oisin, Eoin, Sophie and Andy.

She is also survived by her brothers John (Marie), Donal (Jackie), Edward, Paul, Manus (Annelie), sisters Breid (Paul) and Kathleen Ann.

Sadly missed by her brother-in-law Tommy Dullaghan and sister-in-law Kitty McLaughlin (Seamus). 

Reposing at her late residence from 6pm – 11pm today (Monday) and from 10am – 10pm on Tuesday. Rosary on both nights at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Columba’s Church, Glenswilly with burial afterwards in Kilpheak Cemetery.  

Family time only on the morning of the funeral please. Family flowers only with donations in lieu of desired to the Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or Con Mc Daid Funeral Directors.

 

Mary Ellen Tighe (née Gallagher), Bundoran

The death has occurred of Mary Ellen Tighe (née Gallagher), Silver Sea House, West End, Bundoran and Sea Road, Bundoran, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the residence of her daughter Carol, Sea Rd, Bundoran.

Mary Ellen was the beloved wife of the late Dan Tighe, and much loved mother of Carol (Paul), Danny (Jackie) and Paul (Breida).

Deeply regretted and forever missed by her loving daughter, sons, her adored grandchildren Bobby, Rory and Darragh Fallon, Kelly, Leanne and Daniel Tighe, her great-grandchildren Josh, Chloe, Sophie, Colm, Juno, Margot, Peter, Alice and Orlagh, her brothers Sean and Jimmy, sister Breda McKane and all her many nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends especially Margaret and Lyne. 

Reposing at her daughter Carol’s residence, Sea Rd, Bundoran privately for family, close friends and neighbours on Tuesday, August 27 until 8pm. House strictly private on Wednesday.

Removal from there on Wednesday at 9.20am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 10am. 

Removal afterwards to St. Ninnidh’s Cemetery, Newtown, Bundoran for burial service.

Nora McSwiggan, Glenties

The peaceful death has occurred in St.Eunan’s Nursing Home, Letterkenny after a short illness of Nora McSwiggan, Glenties.

She will be missed by her daughter Catherine, son Carl, grandchildren Seona and Jamie, brothers Frank, Jimmy and John, sister Annette, sisters-in-law Rose and Maura, niece, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and her large circle of very close friends.  

Nora’s remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara this evening (Monday) from 6pm until 8pm and on Tuesday  from 2.30pm followed by removal at 4.30pm to St. Connells Church, Glenties for 5pm to repose overnight. 

Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

George McCready, Carrigans

The peaceful death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of George McCready, 11 Mill Park, Carrigans.

Predeceased by his mother Jean, father Robert, sisters Frances, Mamie and Stella, brothers Samuel, Peter, David, Raymond and Alex. George will be sadly missed by his sisters Pamela and Margaret, brothers Thomas, Jim, John and Simon, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and wider family circle.

His remains will repose at his home from 6pm this evening (Monday).

Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday at 2.30pm for 3pm funeral service in Killea Parish Church, Carrigans followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. 

Family flowers only please donations in lieu, if desired to the Donegal Hospice care of any family member or Terence McClintock Funeral Director.

Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.   

Patrick Coyle, Barnesmore, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Patrick Coyle, Barnesmore, Donegal Town / Sligo.

Late of Maugherow, Co. Sligo, Patrick died at Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs. 

He was predeceased by his partner Christine Mannion, brothers, sisters and nephews.  

Removal from Gallagher’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles on Tuesday going to the Sacred Heart Churchyard, Mountcharles for burial at 11am.

Michael Boyle, Malahide, Dublin and formerly of Killybegs 

He death has occurred of Michael Boyle, Malahide, Dublin and formerly of Killybegs, peacefully at his home. 

Michael was the beloved husband of Philomena, cherished father of Michael, and adored grandfather of Hayden and Freya. 

He will be deeply missed by his loving daughter-in-law Clare, his dear sister Patricia, and all his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his beloved brother Sean. Michael will be fondly remembered by his extended family, dear friends, and neighbours. 

Reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Portmarnock, on Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm. Michael will then return home with his family for a private evening. 

Removal on Wednesday  to St. Sylvester’s Church, Malahide for 11 am Requiem Mass, followed by burial at Balgriffin Cemetery.

Rose McGee, Magheroarty / Inishbofin, Gortahork 

The death has occured in Áras Gaoth Dobhair of Rose McGee (Rosie Cassie) of 42 Ballina, Falcarragh and formerly of Inishbofin Island.

Rose was predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Cassie, brothers Ned, Mickey, Anthóin and Charlie, sisters Isobel and Mary.

She is survived by her nieces Rosemary, Pauline, nephews Jeff and Tony, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Her remains are reposing at her niece Rosemary and John McGinley’s residence in Magheroarty.

Funeral from there this evening (Monday) going to Christ the King Church, Gortahork for 7pm to repose overnight.

John McCartney, St. Johnston and formerly Moville

The death has taken place at his home of John McCartney, 17 Cois Aoibhean, St Johnston and formerly of Moville.

Much loved father of Roisin (Paul), John Paul (Audrey), Breidge (Dean), Patricia (Shane) and the late Patrick and Geraldine. Dearly loved son of Roisin and the late Patrick Mc Cartney.  Brother of Mary Ann, Patrick, Eileen, Michael, Jennifer and the late Rose and Caroline and former husband of Bridget.

Reposing at his home. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, August 27 at 10.20am for Requiem Mass in St Baithin`s Church, St Johnston at 11am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers please to the Oncology Unit, Letterkenny University Hospital.

Family time please from 11pm to 10am.

Tom Dooley, Gortahork and formerly Essexford, Co. Monaghan

The death has occurred of Tom Dooley, Gortahork, and formerly of Essexford, Co Monaghan, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Cait and Patrick, his brothers Peadar, Seamus, Seán and his uncle Seán Haughey.

Tom is survived by his wife Emily, daughters Erin (Terence), Aisling (Feargal); grandchildren, Caoimhe, Aoife, Cian, Sarah and Emily; sisters, Mary, Mairead, Caite, Pauline and Áine; brothers, Pádraig and Terence.

Tom’s remains will repose at Gortahork Funeral Premises today (Monday) from 12 noon to 8pm with removal to the family home for family time.

Removal from there on Tuesday, August 27 for 11am Requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Gortahork with burial afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Elizabeth (Dot) Carr, Dublin and Fanad 

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Dot) Carr, née Berns, Cabinteely, Co. Dublin and Fanad.

She died peacefully in Blackrock Hospice, on Friday, August 23 surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased recently by her husband of 67 years Barney Carr (June 28) and by her son Seán (April, 2014).

Deeply regretted by her sons Paddy and Eilis (Roestown, Ardee), Brian and Elaine (Shankill) and her daughters Mary and Martin Costello (Knocklyon), Carol (Kilmainham) and Elish and Colin Kelly (Stepaside) and her brother Ger, sisters Laura, Kathleen and Mary.

Sadly missed by her adored grandchildren Kate, Dermot (Sofia) and Maeve, Daniel (Lorraine), Evelyn (Daniel) and Robert, Shane and Ciaran (Megan) and her great-grandchildren Murphy and Lenny, Lois and Alice, and C.J., together with her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at her late residence at 1a Woodlands Road, Cabinteely today (Monday) from 3pm to 8pm.

Removal from there at 9.15am on Tuesday going to St. Brigid’s Church, Cabinteely for 10am Requiem Mass.

The Requiem Mass will be live streamed via the Parish webcam www.churchservices.tv/cabinteely

Dot’s remains will then travel to St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty, Fanad, arriving at 8pm, to repose overnight.

Interment will take place in the adjoining graveyard after 10am Mass on Wednesday, August 28.

Rose Douglas, Bunbeg and Dublin

The death has taken place of Rose Douglas (née Sweeney), Terenure, Dublin and formerly of Bunbeg,  and late of the Assumption Junior National School, Walkinstown, Dublin,  (peacefully in her sleep), at Kiltipper Woods Care Centre.

Rose, beloved wife of the late Peter and dear mother of Jim, Paul, Mary and Lucy; Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brother Danny, sister Bridget, sons-in-law Marco and Dave, daughters-in-law Tina and Marguerite, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Monday from 4pm to 7pm at the Ramon Massey and Son Funeral Home, 78 Walkinstown Road, D12 PWK0, (opposite Supervalu). Removal on Tuesday to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Greenhills arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Bohernabreena Cemetery.
