The death has occurred of Brian Scott, Errarooey, Falcarragh and Bangor, Co. Down.

Mr Scott passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 11.

Beloved husband of Jackie and loving father of Julie, Lauren and Charlie.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons-in-law, Jonny and Kit and his cherished granddaughters, Isla and Ivy, who will miss their ‘Pops’.

Brian will be reposing at his home in Errarooey More on Friday, September 12 (house private please).

Funeral service in Holy Trinity Church Hornhead Road Dunfanaghy on Sunday, September 14 at 2pm.

Private cremation to follow.

Bert Ridewood, Lifford

The death has occurred of Bert Ridewood, Cavan Hill, Ballindrait, Lifford.

Mr Ridewood passed away peacefully in the Mater Hospital in Dublin on Monday, September 8.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen Anne Ridewood (née Lynch 2016). Sadly missed by his loving daughters Amanda, Karen and Michelle and partners, grandchildren Patrick, George, Eoin, Connell, Seamus, Dylan, Conor, Mia and Finn, brother Bill (Australia), extended family members many friends and neighbours.

Dominick (Dommie) O’Donnell. Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Dominick (Dommie) O’Donnell, Curraghamone, Ballybofey.

Mr O’Donnell passed away peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family on Thursday, September 11.

Beloved husband of Mildred and much loved father of Emma and Louise. Predeceased by his parents Dominick and Annie, cherished brother of Nan, Kathleen, Margaret, Brigid, Bernie, Marjorie, Michael and the late Seamus and infant brother John.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, daughters, brother, sisters, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, uncle Charlie, aunt Mary, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at Mc Cool’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13 from 5pm to 9pm.

Funeral leaving from the funeral home on Sunday, September 14 at 10am, via Curraghamone, for requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.

Interment in Drumboe cemetery.

Eugene Miller, Glenties

The death has occurred of Eugene Miller, formerly of Drimnalough, Glenties, Co Donegal, London and the USA.

Mr Miller passed away at Hillcrest Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 9.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Patience Riley and father of Joshua, Sarah, Rachel and Nathaniel.

Eugene will be sadly missed by his family, relatives and a very wide circle of friends in Donegal and around the world.

Eugene is known for his academic achievements, musical talent, passion for theatre, good humour, kindness and generosity.

His remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, Co Donegal on Friday, September 12, between 4pm and 7pm.

Funeral cortège departs Shovlin’s on September 13, 2025 at 11.30am for funeral service at Church of Ireland, Lettermacaward, Co Donegal, at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Ellen Gallagher, Carrigart

The death has occurred of Ellen Gallagher (née Dennison), Church Road, Carrigart.

Ms Gallagher passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday, September 10.

Predeceased by her husband Hugh in 1965.

Beloved mother of Eunan, Linda, Mary and Terri.

Daughter in law Maeve and son in law Clive.

Devoted grandmother of Aodh, Rachael, Lauren, Colin, Claire, Alex and great grandmother of Donnacha, Ellen, Cáolagh, Cillian, Willow and Bonnie.

Sadly missed by her sisters May (Tennessee), Sorcha (Convoy), sisters in law Cathy (California), Josephine (Dublin) and her many nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her daughter’s home (Terri) F92P584, where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Saturday morning, September 13 going to St John the Baptist Church, Carrigart for requiem Mass at 11am with internment afterwards in Carrigart Cemetery.

Family time from 10pm until 12pm and on the morning of the funeral.

Patrick Farren, Muff

The death has occurred of Patrick Farren, of 325 Grove Cottages, Muff.

Mr Farren passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital following a long illness on Thursday, September 11.

Loving son of the late Neil and Susan.

Much loved brother of Mary and Michael, and the late Danny, Greta, Peter, Rita, Josie, Celia, Eamon, Owen Martin and Bridgeen.

Deeply loved and sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, his extended family and friends.

Patrick’s remains are now reposing at his home where you are all welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral from there on Saturday, September 13 at 12.30pm for 1pm requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Muff followed by interment in St Patrick’s Graveyard, Iskaheen.

Adrian Brogan, Roscommon and Donegal

The death has occurred of Adrian Brogan, Deerpark, Boyle, Roscommon and formerly of O’Maolchonaire Ave, Donegal Town.

Mr Brogan passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 11.

Beloved husband of Karen and adored father to their precious daughters, Caoimhe, Shona and Amy.

Pre-deceased by his brother Raymond and father-in-law Cathal McGee.

Adrian will be deeply missed by his parents Phyllis and Jimmy, sisters Rena (Vinnie), Denise (Shane) and Margaret (Brian), mother-in-law Mary McGee, brother-in-law Sean and sister-in-law Marie, cherished uncle to Kelsey, Chloe, Karla, Kelly, Lacey, Daniel and Aaron.

Adrian will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, extended Brogan, O’Dowd and McGee families, his colleagues in the brothers of Charity, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at his home Deerpark, Boyle on Saturday, September 13 from 3 pm to 8 pm.

Requiem Mass on Sunday, September 14 at 2 pm in St Joseph’s Parish Church, Boyle.

Burial will follow immediately afterwards to Assylin Cemetery.

Christian McCullagh, Raphoe

The sudden death has taken place of 17-year-old Christian McCullagh, Beltany, Raphoe, Co Donegal, a student of Deele College, Raphoe, in the loving arms of his heartbroken parents, Aileen and Gary, sister Rocha, brother Riley, and family at Beaumont Hospital Dublin.

Christian will be lovingly and deeply missed by his parents, Aileen and Gary, sister Rocha, brother Riley, Grandparents Jacqueline and Christy McCullagh, Mary Frances and the late Seamus Campbell, sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and all his extended family and friends.

Christian will repose at his late residence Beltany, Raphoe, Co Donegal, F93H280, today, Friday, September 12 from 12pm to 10pm, and Saturday, September 13 from 12pm to 10pm, with Rosary each evening at 9pm.

The funeral cortege will leave his late residence on Sunday morning, September 14 at 10.30am, travelling to St Eunan’s Church, Raphoe for 11am requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Edward (Ned) Boyd, Gweedore

The unexpected death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Edward (Ned) Boyd of Brinalack, Gweedore.

Predeceased by his mother Sarah, and son-in-law Dessie Mc Fadden.

Sadly missed by his daughter Sarah-Ann, sons; Mark (Grainne), Eamonn (Rosanne) and James (Leanne), brother Frank, aunt Mary Ferry, all his grandchildren and extended family, neighbours & friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 12 in St. Colmcille’s Church Knockfola (time to be confirmed), with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John (Sean) Doherty, Clonmany

The peaceful death has occurred at Carndonagh Community Hospital of John (Sean) Doherty, Tirmaine, Clonmany F93P0E1.

Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget and son Paul.

Beloved husband of Lexie and much loved father of John, Philip and Lisa.

Devoted grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sadly missed by his sister Breedge and brothers Mickey and Phil deeply regretted by his son in law, daughters in law, brother in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, family members, neighbours and friends.

May He Rest In Peace.

The death has occurred, at his home, of Kieran Lafferty, Liscooley, Castlefin F93 P6Y7.

Beloved husband of Marie, much loved father of Steven (Tanya), loving granda of T.J., Becky and Ella-Marie, dearest brother of Bridie and the late Dessie.

Reposing at the family home.

Funeral from the family home on Friday, September 12 at 10.30 am for requiem Mass at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Sacred Heart Of Jesus, Have Mercy On His Soul.

Owen Byrne, Ardara

The death has occurred of Owen Byrne, Portnoo Road, Ardara.

Mr Byrne passed away at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 7.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his wife, Deirdre, daughter Lucy (Brian), son Colm (Aileen) and the five loves of his life, his little grandchildren; Sadie, Jude, Rían, Oisín and Shay, his siblings, nieces, nephews and his many, many friends and neighbours whom he adored.

Pre-deceased by his parents, Rosie and Hugh and sisters Roisin and Eileen.

Wake will take place at Owen’s residence on Portnoo Road (F94R744).

Funeral from there at 11.40 am going to The Church of the Holy Family, Ardara, for funeral Mass at 12 noon on Friday, September 12.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Cornelius (Con) Boyle, Dublin and Kilcar

The death has occurred of Cornelius (Con) Boyle, of Rush, Co Dublin and formerly of Kilcar, Co Donegal.

Mr Boyle passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 6.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Pauline, children Carolyne, Geraldine, Ollie and Diana, sons-in-law Alan, Stephen and Ciaran, grandchildren Callan, Dannon, Sennan, Sorren, Jade, Kyle, Blake, Davin, Tara and Clodagh, brothers Bernard and Michael, sister Margaret, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends especially those in the Frosties and his draughts club.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 10am in St. Maur’s Church, Rush followed by burial in Whitestown Cemetery, Rush.
