Davy Robb, Raphoe

The death has occurred of Davy Robb, Drumfad, Raphoe.

Mr Robb passed away in Birmingham, England on Wednesday, September 18.

Much loved father of Megan, he will be sadly missed by his sister Betty McClintock and his brother James Robb.

The committal of his ashes will take place in Ballindrait Presbyterian Church graveyard on Sunday, November 17 at 2.30pm.

Robert Haughey, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Robert Haughey, Listillion, Letterkenny.

Mr Haughey passed away peacefully at St Eunan’s Nursing Home, Woodlands, Letterkenny on Thursday, November 14.

Deeply missed by his loving family Sandra (Brian), Brendan, Charlene (James), Robbie (Ciara), Veronica and their mother Marion, grandchildren Abbi-Lee, Kendra, Summer, Brody, Kassi, Ava, Azari, Lexi and Tori, sisters Sr. Veronica, Nellie, Noeleen and Cass, brothers Hughie, Packie, Peter, Jimmy, Jonnie, Paul and Kevin, aunts Madge and Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Katie and his brother Liam (Gutcha).

Mr Haughey’s remains will repose at his daughter Sandra and husband Brian Diamond’s residence at Raymoghey, Manorcunningham F92 VF53 on Thursday. November 14 from 5pm until 10pm and on Friday, November 15 from 12 noon until 10pm with Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Saturday, November 16 at 10.15am going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/@churchoftheirishmartyrs4657.

Interment afterwards to St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery, Drumkeen.

Nora Gallagher, Gweedore

The death has taken place of Nora Gallagher, Carrick Boyle, Gweedore.

Ms Gallagher passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 10.

Predeceased by her parents Mary and Billy, her sister Mary and infant sister Theresa.

Sadly missed by her brothers Tony and his wife Cathy, Joe and his wife Ann, sisters Margaret and her partner Ian, Kathleen and her partner John, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family and friends.

Her remains will repose at Roarty’s Funeral Home, Derrybeg (F92 DN4X) on Sunday, the 17th of November, from 1pm with rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday, November 18 in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg with interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.

Maureen Burns, Kilmacrennan

The death has occurred of Maureen Burns (née Rogers), Gortnaskeagh, Kilmacrennan.

Ms Burns passed away peacefully at Lakehouse Nursing Home, Portnablagh on Wednesday, November 13.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, Derek (Caroline), Raymond, Lorna (Trevor) and Caroline, grandchildren Aaron (Rachel), Andrew, Emma, Jennifer, Robert, Lauren, Sarah, Samuel and Caleb, great-grandchildren Maisie and Harry, sisters Gretta, Sylvia and Audrey, brother Nathaniel, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Robin and son-in-law Richard.

Remains reposing at her home.

Funeral service on Saturday, November 16, at 12 noon in Leiter Presbyterian Church.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Joan Attridge, Wicklow/Dublin/Donegal

The death has occurred of Joan Attridge, Oaklands Court, Church Lane, Greystones, Co Wicklow and formerly of Blackrock, Co Dublin.

Ms Attridge, who previously taught in secondary schools in Donegal, passed away peacefully in the exceptional care of Liz, Pat and their team at Eyrefield Manor Nursing Home Greystones in her 100th year.

Daughter of the late Nora (née McCarthy) and David Attridge.

Remembered with love by her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Attridge, neighbours, friends and residents of Eyrefield Manor.

Funeral Mass and cremation will take place privately at her own request.

Martin Geelan, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Martin Geelan, Donegal Road, Ballybofey.

Mr Geelan passed away at his late residence on Wednesday, November 13.

Beloved husband of Anne, much loved father of John, and Peter. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters in law Sharon, and Catherine, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral leaving from Mc Cool’s Chapel of Rest, Ballybofey, on Friday, November 15, at 11.40 am for Interment in Drumboe Cemetery at 12 noon.

Francie Doherty, Burtonport

The death has occurred of Francie Doherty, Acres, Burtonport.

Mr Doherty passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at his home on Wednesday, November 13.

Beloved husband of Bridget and dear father of Mary Frances, Joanne, Louise, Paul and Francis.

Deeply regretted by his sons in laws Mike and Matthieu, daughters in law Francesca and Netsi, grandchildren Erin, Cian, Liam, Mia, Kara, Heather, Rianna, Eva, Oisín and James.

Sadly missed by his brothers James and John and sister Helena, his late sister Nollaig and brother Denis and by a wide extended family.

Pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Minnie Doherty.

His remains will repose at his home in Acres (F94V2C8) today, Friday from 11am until Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Columba’s Church Burtonport with interment in Belcruit Cemetery.

House private please on the morning of the funeral.

John Joe Carlin, Crossroads

The death has occurred of John Joe Carlin, Ballinacor, Crossroads.

Mr Carlin passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Hospital, Stranorlar on Wednesday, November 13.

Much loved brother of Mary B. Gallen, Joe and the late Kathleen Mc Glinchey (Ballybun), Celene Duggan (Falcarragh), Sadie Conway (Aveltygort) and Lena Carlin (Ballinacor).

Funeral from the family home on Friday, November 15 at 10.20 am for Requiem Mass at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Crossroads, Killygordon with interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

The Mass can be viewed via the parish webcam.

Very deeply regretted and sadly missed by his entire family circle.

Rose MacBride, Mountcharles and Dublin

The death has occurred of Rose MacBride, Dublin and formerly Mountcharles.

Ms MacBride passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10 in the compassionate and dedicated care of the staff of St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin with her devoted sisters Anne, Breege, Eibhlin (Tamblyn) and Kathleen Angela (Hurley) by her bedside.

Predeceased by her sister Mary Gallagher MacBride, her brother Tommy, brother-in-law Robert Gallagher, sister-in-law Peggy (nee Dockery) and her parents Maurice and Annie Maria Mac Bride.

Ms MacBride will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her nieces Alanna, Maura, Cróna, Eanya and Deirdre, her nephews Tommy Jnr. and Fergus, brothers-in-law Russ Tamblyn and Gerard Hurley, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family and friends.

Prior to Rose’s death she was lovingly cared for by the kind and considerate staff of Leeson Park Nursing Home, Dublin.

Removal from the family home on Friday, November 15 for Requiem Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Mountcharles at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Marius Lynch, Clonmany/ Gweedore/ Glasgow

The death has occurred of Marius Lynch, Clonmany/ Gweedore/ Glasgow.

Mr Lynch passed away at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, November 12.

Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Celia, brothers Aloysius and Colm and sister Carmel.

Sadly missed by his daughters Marisa, Shauna and Carolanne, dear friend Pat Young, brothers Gerard, Martin and Terence, grandchildren Courtney, Chloe, Charlotte and Leah, son-in-law Conal Gallagher and extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg at 1pm on Friday, November 15, interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.

The death has occurred of Margaret Ferry (née Mc Fadden), Carrick Mc Garvey, Gweedore.

Ms Ferry passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday, November 12.

Predeceased by her husband James, brothers Denis, Ned, Charlie, Paddy, Joe, Feilimí and Colm and sisters Máire and Kitty.

Sadly missed by her daughters Máire and Bríd, sons Seamus, Neil, Philip, Denis, Sean and Eamonn, brother Sean, sons-in-law Jack and Tony, daughters-in-law Kathleen, Gráinne, Noreen, Breidge, Geraldine and Bernadette, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg at 11am on Friday, November 15, interment afterwards in Magheragallon cemetery.
