Seán McGlynn, Cloghan and London

The death has occurred of Seán McGlynn, Kilrean, Cloghan and formerly London.

Mr McGlynn passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 8 at Ramelton Community Hospital.

Predeceased by his daughter, Catherine, and most recently his son, Steven, his parents, Jimmy and Cissie McGlynn and brother Connie.

Seán will be greatly missed by his loving partner Bernie (daughter Natasha), his daughters Patricia and Lisa, his grandchildren Shaun (Jennifer) and Conor, his loving family, sisters Maureen, Nancy, Noreen and Breda, brother Jim, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Seán’s remains will repose at his late home in Kilrean, Cloghan, F93 P6C5.

Removal on Saturday, January 11 for Requiem Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin at 11am, followed by Interment afterwards in the family plot in Kilteevogue Cemetery.

Anthony Kelly, Glenties

The death has occurred of Anthony Kelly, Cleary House, Letterkenny and formerly Glenties.

Mr Kelly passed away on Wednesday, January 8.

Remains Reposing at his sister Maggie’s residence at no3 The Rock, Glenties where you are welcome to pay your respects.

Funeral Mass at 11 am on Saturday in St. Conals Church, Glenties with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Sadly missed by his sister Maggie Timoney, nieces and nephews Brid (Tommy), Mairead (Emma) Catherine (Jimmy), Michael (Catriona) and Jimmy.

Gerald (Gerry) Dunnion, Dublin and Donegal

The death has occurred of Gerald (Gerry) Dunnion, Mount Merrion, Dublin and formerly of Donegal Town.

Mr Dunnion passed away peacefully at Belmount House Nursing Home on Monday, January 6.

He is the beloved husband of the late Peggy and adored father of Brian, Deirdre, and Dermot.

He is sadly missed by their partners Sheelagh, Randy and Ena, greatly loved grandfather of Emma, Dylan, Noah, Kate, Anna, and Myles and adoring great -grandfather of Millie and Shae and missed by his many relatives and friends.

Removal on Saturday morning, January 11 to the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am and thereafter to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.

Mary Gilroy, Sligo, Galway and Donegal

The death has occurred of Mary Gilroy (née Kyne), Streedagh, Grange, Co Sligo and formerly Clonbur, Co Galway.

Ms Gilroy passed away peacefully, in her 97th year, at St Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 8.

Predeceased by her husband Dan and son-in-law Martin.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by her daughter Maura Gilchrist (Longford), sons Seamus (Cork), Sean (Letterkenny), and Donal, daughters-in-law Maeve, Pat and Helen, her adored grandchildren Macdara, Cormac, Sorcha, Brónach, Gráinne, Eoghan, Colm, Desmond, Orna, Eimear, Caoimhe and great grandchildren Isabelle, Oisín, Líadan and Donovan.

She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Anne and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McGloin’s Funeral Home Cliffoney (Eircode F91N880) on Friday, January 10 from 4pm to 7pm.

Removal at 7pm to the church of Mary Immaculate Grange to arrive at 7.45pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am with burial afterwards in Ahamlish cemetery.

Carmel Ann Doocey, Bundoran and Mayo

The death has occurred of Carmel Ann Doocey, Téach Sona, Drumacrin Road, Bundoran and formerly of Geesala, Mayo.

Ms Doocey passed away peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on Tuesday, January 7.

Carmel will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving family, brothers Vincent (Fethard, Co. Tipperary), Gabriel (England) sisters Mary Graham, (Belmullet, Co. Mayo) and Kathleen, (England), her brothers and sisters-in-law, all her nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, relatives and friends, especially all the residents and staff of Teách Sona, Bundoran where she spent the last number of years.

She is predeceased by her loving parents Michael and Teresa Doocey, (Geesala, Mayo), and her brothers Patrick, Eddie and Noel.

Removal from Teách Sona, Drumacrin Rd, Bundoran on Friday morning, January 10 at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am.

Removal afterwards for burial in Geesala Cemetery, Geesala, Co Mayo arriving at approx 3.30pm.

Please note as Teách Sona is a care facility please use face mask if attending the visitation on Thursday.

Eamonn Boyle, Glenties

The death has occurred of Eamonn Boyle, Meenalargan, Glenties.

Mr Boyle passed away at Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday, January 8.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Maryann, brothers Paddy, John and Gerry and sister Mamie.

He is sadly missed by his brother Phil, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Removal from funeral home on Friday morning at 10.15am to St. Connell’s church, Glenties for requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Nora (Hannah) Taylor, Wicklow and Malin

The death has occurred of Nora (Hannah) Taylor (née McLaughlin (Jackie)), Ashford, Wicklow and formerly of Ross Head, Glengad, Malin.

Ms Taylor passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St Vincent’s University Hospital on Saturday, January 4.

Dearly loved wife of Kieran and much loved mother of James, Michael, Hannah, Cian and Jack.

Sadly missed by her siblings Hugh, Eilish, Jim, Joseph, Pat, Mickey, Eamon and Alan, and by her adoring grandchildren, daughters in law, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her son Paul Thomas, parents James and Mary and brothers Seán, Paul, Robert and Benny.

Nora will repose at the William Doyle Funeral Home Kilcoole on Friday from 6pm until 8pm.

Funeral arriving at Ashford GAA grounds on Saturday morning at 11.40am and then proceeding at walking pace to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary Ashford arriving for 12 noon funeral Mass followed by private cremation.

The funeral Mass will be recorded and a link posted at 6pm on Saturday.

Mary Varilly, Dublin and Dungloe

The death has occurred of Mary Varilly, Stillorgan, Dublin and formerly of Dungloe.

Ms Varilly passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, January 3.

She will be very sadly missed and forever remembered with much love and affection by her heartbroken husband Gerry McNally, daughter Claire, son Stephen, Jessie, her adored grandson Cormac, the extended Varilly and McNally families, friends and loved ones.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Dundrum D14 F3X2 on Friday afternoon, January 10 from 3pm to 5pm.

A Service to celebrate Mary’s life will take place on Saturday afternoon, January 11 at 2.30pm in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross (which can be viewed live here https://www.mountjerome.ie/victorian-chapel-service/)

Nancy Robinson, Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred of Nancy Robinson (née Armstrong), Drumbuoy, Newtowncunningham.

Ms Robinson passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 7.

Predeceased by her late husband Norman, daughter Helen, daughter-in-law Rickie, sisters Dolly, Audrey, Hetty, Florence, Mavis and brother Sammy.

Beloved mother of Rosemary (Drew), William, Norma (Ian), John (Ann), Judy (Mitchel) and James (Angela).

A devoted grandmother and great grandmother to her twenty grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

Nancy will be remembered with love by her sisters Enid and Clare and the extended family circle.

Removal from her home on Friday, January 10 at 12.30pm for 1pm Service of Thanksgiving in Newtowncunningham Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please donations in lieu to the Donegal Hospice care of any family member or Terence McClintock funeral director.
