Odhrán O’Donnell, Churchill 

The peaceful death has taken place at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, of Odhrán O’Donnell, Cruckraw, Churchill, F92 AK54.

Sadly missed by parents Paul and Kathleen, sister Aisling and husband James. 

Fondly remembered by his granny Grace, aunts, uncles, cousins, good neighbours and many friends.

Odhrán’s remains will be reposing at his late residence from 2pm until 10pm on Friday  and from 12pm until 10pm on Saturday.

Funeral from there on Sunday morning going to St. Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan for Requiem Mass at 10.30am, followed by interment in Templedouglas Cemetery.

John Cannon, Carnamuggagh, Letterkenny

The death has occurred at his home of John Cannon, Carnamuggagh, Letterkenny (F92 DFA0), retired Clerk of Works with Donegal County Council.

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen in 2016. 

Deeply regretted by his family, Fr. Michael, Florida, Charlie (Anne), Letterkenny, Seamus (Grace), Creeslough, Patrick (Mary), Letterkenny, Joe (Breda), Donegal Town, Brian, Letterkenny, Eileen McCarron (Aidan), Letterkenny, sister, Una, Knock, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends. 

Reposing at his late residence on Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 8pm concluding with Rosary at 8pm on both nights.

Funeral from there on Sunday going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 2pm Mass which can be viewed live on the link www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by burial in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Rosha (Winnie) Ferry, Annagry

The death has occurred in her own home of Rosha (Winnie) Ferry, Culacrick, Annagry F94 P8X8.

Rosha’s remains will be reposing at her own home on Friday from 11am until rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, with interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.

Eunan Colhoun, Lifford

The death has occurred of Eunan Colhoun, Windmill View, Rossgier, Lifford.

Lovingly missed by his wife Maeve, sons and daughters, Eunan Jnr (Rosaleen), Joanette (Padraic), Fr. Roland, Murrough, Andrea (Darren), grandchildren and all his extended family and friends.

Eunan was predeceased by his parents and siblings. 

Eunan will be reposing at Kelly’s Funeral Home, Oakfield, Raphoe, F93KP0N from 12pm to 6pm on Fridya..

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael Toomey, Leitrim and Rathmullan

The death has taken place of Michael Toomey, Leitrim Village, Co. Leitrim and formerly Rathmullen and Walkinstown, Dublin.

He died peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of Shannon Lodge Nursing Home, Rooskey, surrounded by his loving family. 

Predeceased by his parents P.J. and Madge (née Deeney), sisters Eva Daly and Kay Walker and her husband Gerry, brothers Patrick and Edward and his son Fergal.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister Sr. Margaret-Ann (Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Houston, Texas.) sister-in-law Kathleen Toomey (Rathmullen), brother-in-law Paddy Daly (Galway), nephews, nieces, grand- nephews and nieces, great-grand nephew, the extended Deeney and Toomey families, a wide circle of friends agus Cairde Cheoil. 

Michael will rest in repose at Glennon’s Funeral Home, Longford (N39 EC81) on Saturday from 5pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. 

Mass of Christian Burial on Sunday at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Rathmullen followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.  

Eamonn Doherty, Convoy

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University hospital of Eamonn Doherty, Magheranappan, Convoy (F93E8X2).

Predeceased by his mother Peggy and his father Paddy. Beloved husband of Katrina, loving father of Alicia (Matthew), Jack, Lorena (Paul), Gary (Kerry) and devoted grandfather of Ellie, Max, Ru, Jess, Gryffin, Callum and Tommy. 

Eamonn will be sadly missed by his sisters Marian and Lorraine (Brendan), brothers Patrick (Brigeen) and Liam (Kathleen), his nieces, nephews and extended family circle, neighbours and many friends.

 His remains will repose at his home from 6pm on Friday.

Funeral leaving from there on Sunday at 2pm for 2.30pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Drumkeen followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. 

Rosary each night at 9pm, house private after the Rosary until 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Mickey Joe McGinley, Cloghan

The death has occurred of Mickey Joe McGinley, Ballinaman, Cloghan.

Mr McGinley passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice on Wednesday, February 5.

Deeply regretted by his sister, Molly Harkin, and his nephews, nieces, neighbours and large circle of close friends.

Mickey Joe’s remains arrived  at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfin on Thursday evening.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest in the Church ​​​​​​on Thursday and Friday, February 7 from 7pm until Rosary at 9pm.

Requiem Mass at 11am on Saturday, February 8 with interment afterwards in the family plot in Kilteevogue Cemetery.

Mary Ward, Ballintra

The death has occurred of Mary Ward, Drumnacroil, Ballintra and formerly Kiltipper, Tallaght.

Ms Ward passed away peacefully in North West Hospice, Sligo.

Sadly missed by her son’s Patrick (Cara) and Seamus and grandson Seamus, brother-in-laws Gerry, Domnic and Christy.

Predeceased by her husband Patrick, sisters Grace (Charlie Mc Daid) and Margaret (Brendan Gallagher), brother’s-in-law Benny and Seamus Ward.

Mary’s remains will repose from 2pm until 9pm on Friday, February 7.

Remains leaving her late residence on Saturday at 10.30am for 11am Mass in St. Brigid’s Church, Lisminton, Ballintra with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

John Pat Kerr, Rathmullan

The death has occurred of John Pat Kerr, Meenreagh, Rathmullan.

Mr Kerr passed away peacefully at the Donegal Hospice on Tuesday, February 4.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Brigid, brothers Eddie and James, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by his sister Mary and brother Barney.

Reposing at his home.

Requiem Mass on Friday, February 7 at 12 noon in St Catherine’s Church, Oughterlin.

Burial afterwards in Rathmullan Cemetery.

Family time on the morning of the funeral.

Mary Hegarty, Glencolmcille

The death has occurred of Mary Hegarty (née Gallagher), Malinmore, Glencolmcille.

Ms Hegarty passed away on Wednesday, February 5.

Predeceased by her husband Frank, daughter Irene, grandson Emmet, son in law Peter (Australia) and her brothers (Kilcar).

Very sadly missed by her loving family: James(Nancy), Brian(Anne), Frank(Mary), Bernadette(Australia), Bridie(Sean), Michael (Margaret) New York, Teresa (Jimmy), Patrick (Lorraine), Nora (Paul) UK, Noel (Anna), Paul (Anne). Her 32 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and her niece Rose Gallagher (Dublin).

Remains reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara, (F94A250) on Thursday, February 6 from 12pm to 4pm with removal to her late residence at Malinmore, Glencolmcille, (F94 KP21) to repose from 6pm to 9pm and Friday from 11am to 9pm.

House private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Saturday, February 8 in St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Dugald MacFarlane, Rathmullan

The death has occurred of Dugald MacFarlane, The Breakwater, Lehardan, Rathmullan.

Mr MacFarlane passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry on Friday, January 31.

He is the dearly loved father of Peter and Fiona, predeceased by his wife Ann.

Funeral service on Friday at 2pm in St. Columba’s Church, Rathmullan followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

House strictly private on the morning of the funeral.
